25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018 by Tracy

Tracy (In My Creative Opinion) is hosting her 25 Days Christmas Tags again this year.

I am playing along with Day 15 Tags that is sponsored by STAMPlorations.

I was inspired by 2 of Kathy's beautiful Christmas tags.
The colors in the middle tag and the highlighted sponging and
STAMPlorations Christmas Typografia stamp on the green tag really caught my eye.
Perfect for quick CAS Christmas tags.

Here is my Christmas Typografia Merry and Bright STAMPlorations Tag!

I die cut the tag with CUTploration 2nd largest Stitched Tags Nesting Dies
using Strathmore Mixed Media paper.

Next sponged using Distress Oxide Inks: Candied Apple and Fired Brick.
Dried with heat tool and then used T.H. mister to splatter water drops.

When dry, placed tag in MISTI and stamped sentiment with Black Versafine
pigment ink and heat embossed with SU Clear EB powder.

Added SU retired white taffeta ribbon and done!
I love the shine from the heat embossed Typografia,  background highlight
and the water drops.

QCAS tag.  Thank you Kathy for the Inspiration from both your tags:-)

Thank you Tracy for your fun and inspiring tag event:-)
You still have time to play until Dec 3rd.

Adding my tag to Loll's 12 Tags of Christmas.  Linky ends Nov 23rd.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge Guest Designer Spot!

Thrilled to be the Guest Designer for the November 17th
Penny Black Anything Goes or Optional Anything But a Card Challenge.

I had intended on making a tag,  but my tag morphed into this card instead!
I just did not have the heart to cut off any more of the Fall/Winter leaves!

I recently ordered this new to me..Penny Black "winter still" cling stamp.
I also used a new watercolor technique, Powdered Inks with Versamark,
that I learned from my dear friend, Loll.
You get very vibrant colors with the technique.

I placed my stamp in MISTI and inked with Versamark the 2 leaves on the right.
Next sprinkled Bisters powdered inks in palette wells.
Used: Natural, Red, Yellow and Green Bisters.

Used a slightly wet paint brush to pick up a few Neutral powders and
painted on branches and spritzed lightly with water.  Then stamped with MISTI.

If the brush is too dry lightly dip in water again during this process.
I added more ink to the branches then moved onto the leaves.

Stamped 2 leaves on the right with Versamark. Then added with a slightly wet brush,
Yellow Bisters to the leaf on the far lower right,  lightly spritzed with water and stamped.
Moved the ink around using brush.

Repeated with Green Bisters.  Continued to repeat colors, drying between layers.
Added a bit of Red Bisters at the end.

I painted the top leaf on the right with Yellow and then Red Bisters using same technique
until I was happy with colors.

Then moved onto left leaves adding Versamark 1st and then painted with same
colors as 1st leaves.

Next repeated same process with berries using Red Bisters.

After letting all images dry overnight, I die cut with PB largest Antique Frame.  LOVE this set!
Next covered image with mask and used leftover pigment inks:Neutral and Green
for paint brush splatters.

Stamped PB "Heartfelt" sentiment onto smallest Antique Frame die
using leftover Neutral Bisters.  I liked the watercolor look.

Popped up sentiment tag and main image with fun foam and mounted
onto SU Whisper White Thick card base and Done!

I am very happy with the results:-)

Be sure and check out the creative projects by the talented PBSC Design Team!

Thank you again for honoring me with a Guest spot, my friends.  Hugs..

STAMPlorations November CAS Card Challenge Extra

I am sharing an extra CAS Challenge Card with the optional color twist: Rainbow.
Who doesn't love rainbows?!?

But you do not have to use rainbow colors to play in the CAS Card Challenge.
You have until the last day of the month to play along!

Such a fun quick and easy CAS card!
The Zen Birthday Background 1 did all the work.
I stamped with Archival Black Ink on Mixed Media paper and then heat embossed
using clear embossing powder.

Die cut with CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch
Rectangles Nesting Die.

Then watercolored using the wet on wet technique using Kuretake Gansai paints.
Starting at the top of the image, wet the paper with a wet paint brush and then added
red watercolors, then pink, yellow, orange, green, turquoise, blues and purple.

Let dry and then die cut the Celebrate Big on the image.
Die cut Celebrate Big again with SU Whisper White Thick Cardstock.

Then the fun began...Inlaid the White Celebrate Big and
added scotch tape to the back of the main image.
Paper Pieced all the watercolored main image pieces..just like a puzzle.

The trick: save all the pieces no matter how tiny...
you will need them to finish the puzzle:-)
My Marvy Jewel Picker makes the process MUCH easier too!
The scotch tape on the back of the main image
secured the pieces in place.  It worked Great!

Attached finished main image to SU Whisper White Thick Card Base and Done!

I loved the results and hope you do too. Hugs..

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations Zen Birthday Background 1
Paper: SU Whisper White Thick CS and Strathmore Mixed Media paper.

CAS Mix Up EB Folder Reminder

Time for CAS Mix Up EB Folder Reminder Cards!
Already mid-month,  but you still have until the 24th to play along!

More beautiful Embossing Folder cards by our talented Design Team
and special Guest Designer,  Cornelia (Stempel Spass).

Using Embossing Folder die cut frame, Watercolor Stamping and Heat Embossing.

Sharing Close Up of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on Frame and main image!

I began my CAS design by die cutting Mixed Media paper using the
largest and 2nd largest Penny Black Antique Frames.

Next I placed frame in Sizzix Softly Falling EB Folder for a snow effect.
Then stamped frame with Clear Versamark and added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
Very pretty sparkly raised snow flake frame.

Then I placed the inside piece from the die cut frame into MISTI.
I used only about 1/2 of the Penny Black "winter still" image.

Painted the stem with Distress Ink and spritzed with water and stamped in MISTI.
Moved ink with wet paint brush.
Then did the same with red berries and leaves using Distress Inks and paint brush.

When done I wanted darker leaves so did the same painting technique with Zigs.
Also added some brown to the berries.
Next stamped sentiment.

Then I had the bright idea to add Versamark to the entire image and sprinkle
with Dazzling Diamond like the frame.
Then added more Versamark and Clear EB powder and heat embossed.
More pretty sparkling snow effect for a Christmas card.

Popped up frame with foam tape and Inlaid my main image.
I was very happy with my Christmas card:-)

Wishing you a Joyful Holiday season my friends.  Hugs..

Supplies:
Stamps: Penny Black "winter still" and Holiday Snippets sentiment.

Day 9...Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas

Day Nine..Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends.

You have until Nov 23rd to link your tags:-)

My Day Nine Tag!

I was inspired by Loll's Day 7 Tag.
Loll gave me this Gorgeous Die Cut Deer and Trees tag last Christmas:-)

Isn't Loll's Tag Stunning!

I changed the background and colored the deer with Zigs.

Loll die cut her deer scene with white paper and added a torn snowbank.

I added my die cut watercolored deer over the top of the Strathmore Mixed Media
die cut deer family and tree scene and did not add a snow bank.

For my background I used more of the SU Specialty Paper that I used on my
Day 8 Peace on Earth Tag.

The dots on this sheet of the specialty paper reminded me of snowflakes
even though they are a metallic copper color.

I stamped the Penny Black "Happy Holidays" sentiment on the smallest
Stitched Tag die and heat embossed in SU Copper EB powder.
Then attached small tag using SU White Twine to large tag.
Next added SU mini dimensionals behind the small tag.

Then I added 20 year old SU white Organdy ribbon to the tag and Done!
I was pleased with how my bow turned out as I have not made a bow in ages...lol!

You still have until the 23rd to link your tags to Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas.
Be sure and check out all the Stunning tags by Loll and her GD friends and
in the amazing gallery! Hugs and Happy Tag Creating!

Day Eight...Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas

Day Eight..Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends.

You have until Nov 23rd to link your tags:-)

My Day Eight Peace on Earth Tag!

I got this pretty metallic silver embossed SU Specialty paper a couple of years ago
free with their Sale-A-Bration sale.  The leaves are metallic grey and leaves gold.

It was a 12" x 12" package of 12 sheets..2 ea of 6 designs of silver and
copper metallic designs.  I wanted to make a card with DSP and
this beautiful paper popped out at me.
It is not Christmas paper,  but with the added Nuvo Red Berry Crystal Drops,
SU Real Red Cardstock die cut CUTplorations sentiment (unavailable) and SU red retired ribbon,
I think it made a gorgeous Christmas tag!

I die cut the heavy designer paper with CUTplorations Stitched Tags Nesting Die and
attached another die cut stitched tag using SU Whisper White Thick CS.

A QCAS tag design,  with such beautiful shine and texture,
which showed up in my photo:-)

Hope you get to play along in Loll's TTOC too:-)
Happy Holiday stamping my friends.  Hugs..

I have 2 tags to share.  The Positive Die Cut Tag!

I love how this beautiful SSS Snowflake Block Die turned out!
My die was a gift from my special friend,  Loll:-)

I die cut the SU Whisper White Thick Cardstock tag using 2nd largest,

Then die cut the snowflake die with the same CS.
Die cut a 2nd snowflake Die with SU Champagne Glitter Paper.

Then began popping out the open pieces of snowflake image,
next popping out glitter negative image and adding to positive image,
just like a jig saw puzzle.

I attached block die image using SU Fine Tip Glue Pen to
SU WW Thick CS to secure all pieces.

Popped up image with Foam Tape.
Added stamped PB Happy Holidays sentiment,  SU retired Ribbons and Done!

The Negative Tag.

I used the same products and techniques, but used the glitter paper
for the positive snowflake images and the white cardstock for the negative images.

Added glitter paper to frame the sentiment.

I am so pleased with the result of each tag.  I liked the snowflakes blocks
so well I ended up making 2 Christmas cards too:-)

Day Three--Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends.

Such a fun time of year to enter your tags for Loll's tag challenge.
You have until the Nov 23rd to link your tags:-)

Here is my Day 3 Tag..Enjoy

I found this green and yellow Alcohol Ink on Yupo in my stash.
It was perfect for a tree Christmas tag design.

I wanted to try the Alcohol Ink Lift technique with a TH Woodland Layering Tree Stencil.
I used a sponge dauber to lift the ink with TH Alcohol-Lift Ink.
Worked great!

I then stamped the text thru the stencil using Archival Jet Black ink and MISTI.
The text is from the SU "Evergrees" retired set.
Doodled around the border with Staedler waterproof marker.

Stamped my PB Holiday Snippets sentiments.
Added a die cut layer of SU Whisper White Thick CS to add strength to the tag.
Then added a ribbon from my stash and Done!

Day Two-Twelve Tags of Christmas

It is time for Loll's 5th Annual Christmas Tag Event with her Friends.

I am thrilled to be asked again to join Loll's talented group of Guest Designers.

The tag event is such a fun way to build up needed tags for the holidays.
Here is my Christmas Tag for Day 2.

I had so much fun making this bright and bold poinsettia tag using
STAMPlorations Layered Poinsettia stamp set, designed by Shirley of Bees Knees.
Shirley designed 3 Layered Christmas stamp sets: Layered Poinsettia,  Layered
Mistletoe and Layered Lights.  They are perfect for quick and creative holiday cards.

I die cut my Arches Hot Press paper with CUTplorations "Stitched Tags Nesting Dies"
using the 2nd to the largest of the 6 tag dies.

Placed tag in MISTI and placed 1st solid stamp layer on tag and then inked
with Distress Inks, one layer at a time.  I inked stamp with Festive Berries,
spritzed with water and stamped tag then moved ink around with paint brush.
Next did the same with Barn Door DI.  Let Dry.

Next used outlined poinsettia layer stamp to stamp over solid poinsettia
using MISTI and Archival black ink.

I stamped the flower image on post-it note and fussy cut out for a mask.
I added mask to flower,  colored solid small leaf with Mowed Lawn and spritzed with
water and used MISTI to stamp each leaf and paint brush to move ink around.

Let leaves dry and then stamped with lined leaf using black ink and MISTI.
It was all a fairly quick process. Loved the bold, bright look.

Left tag in MISTI and added the sentiments, which was fun.
I got to use the top sentiment from Layered Lights, 2nd sentiment
from Layered Mistletoe and 3rd sentiment from Layered Poinsettia:-)

My final touches: SU Retired Ribbons and Gold Stickles and Done!

I loved how my tag turned out and hope to create more with the other Layered sets:-)

I am sharing my Poinsettia Card.
Now you can see how my card inspired my Christmas Tag design!

Enjoy and hope you join us at Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas 2018 Event.
There are 10 more days of gorgeous inspiring tags by Loll and her Guest Designers.
We can't wait to see your creative tags!
You have until Nov. 23rd to link up your tags.
.Hugs...

Loll's 2018 Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 1

Such a fun time of year with our dear friend Loll making sure
we have Christmas tags ready for the holidays!

I am sad Loll that this is your last tag event,
but Thank You so much for the 5 years of creative fun!

I use my tags to attach to plates of Norwegian Krumkakes for friends.
It has been a family tradition for generations starting in approximately 1914
after our Norwegian Grandma married Grandpa Knutson.  Both Norwegian immigrants!
Grandma shared her Krumkakes in coffee tins to keep them crisp and fresh.

Here is my tag for Day 1

A simple Christmas Tag using a CUTplorations Stitched Tags Nesting Die.  I used the
2nd largest Tag Die.

Next sponged Strathmore Mixed Media paper with Distress Inks and
then placed in MISTI to stamp images.

I used Archival black ink to stamp STAMPlorations Layered Mistletoe image and
sentiment designed by Shirley (The Bee's Knees).

Then added Nuvo Crystal Drops..Red Berry and SU red ribbon (ret) and Done!
Loved how my tag turned out and yet,  so easy.

Hope you get to play along in Loll's tag event that lasts until the 16th.

Happy Holidays and Tag creating, my friends. Hugs..
