Thank you Karen for all your Inspiration:-)

I have been so inspired by my friend Karen (Snippets) background techniques
that she has been sharing with her Blog friends during this time of
home isolation.

My card was inspired by Karen's smooshed watercolored background cards:-)
Be sure and check out her awesome blog.  You will be inspired too:-)

I used Leaf Green and Turquoise Brushos.  Sprinkled the green onto my glass mat
spritzed generously with water and smooshed some areas of a piece of Strathmore
Mixed Media paper in green inks and let dry.  Cleaned glass mat.

Then sprinkled Turquoise Brushos onto mat, spritzed with water and smooshed other
areas of the MM paper.  Let dry and then stamped with an older wood mount
Penny Black "Scented Message" collage style stamp using Archival jet black ink.

Die cut smooshed and stamped layer with Reverse Confetti "Lacy Scallop Frame".
Added Penny Black "Happy Snippets"  sentiment stamp,  "believe".

Popped up layer using white craft foam onto SU Whisper White 100# cardbase.
I loved the collage design and the Quick Clean and Simple design.
I added Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops to the centers of the flowers,
that show up well IRL and add such pretty glittery shine.

Thank you again Karen for always Inspiring me and sharing your detailed
descriptions of your techniques.

Stay safe dear friend and keep on Creating.  Hugs..

Sharing our well loved 35 acre paradise!

We have a Large 50' x 100' garden and  many flower gardens and ornamental trees :-)
So plenty to do during this time of self-isolation,  especially in the Spring!

We have spent 48 years developing our paradise,  raising our 3 kids and now
enjoying retirement.   We both have hobbies,  no TV and plenty of books and music:-)

April Christmas Card Challenge:Christmas Song

The April CAS Christmas Card Challenge is hosted by the very talented Bonnie!
We all have favorite Christmas Songs...what is yours?

There are so many beautiful and inspiring cards on the challenge blog.
Be sure and check them out!

One of my favorite Christmas songs because we did not get snow on Christmas,
but I always hoped I could build a snowman on Christmas:-)

Close Up showing the shine from the snow and heat embossed sentiment.

Sorry...had a tough time getting all the shine from the heat embossed STAMPlorations
Typografia Christmas image.

I first used a make up brush to blend Distress Oxide Inks: Tumbled Glass and
Salty Ocean thru a  vellum mask that I made onto 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" piece of
Strathmore Mixed Media paper.

Next put paper in MISTI and stamped with DOX Blueprint Sketch ink and then
heat embossed with SU Clear EB Powder the STAMPlorations Typografia Christmas:
"Build a Snowman".

I then used water with a #2 paint brush to remove the ink from the build, a, and snowman.
I added Gelly Roll white ink to the 3 images where I had removed the ink.

Then I had fun adding Gelly Roll white snowflakes to the background one snowflake
at a time:-)

When dry
I added Gelly Roll Clear Star to the snowflakes for more shine. Could not
get a photo of the shiny snowflakes, but honest..they do shine!

Die cut the image layer and A2 card front with CUTplorations Crazy Double Running
Stitch Rectangle Dies.  Inlaid the image layer and attached with scotch tape.
Attached card front to SU Whisper White card base and Done!

Happy to add another Christmas card to my stash.
You have until the 24th to play along too.  Stay safe and Creative my friends.  Hugs..

CAS Stencil April Reminder: Gilding Flakes

Time for our CAS Stencil Reminder cards sharing more DT Gorgeous Shine!
Hosted by Cathy and our awesome Guest Designer, Mac (thesweetestofpeas).

The flakes may fly,  but the results are Gorgeous Shine!!

Here is my Shiny Gilding Flakes card!

For my Reminder card I placed the STAMPlortions "Christmas Tree 1" designed by Sanna
over a SU Whisper White 100# CS card front.  Next used icraft deco/foil adhesive pen
to add adhesive thru the stencil.  Worked Great!

Removed stencil and added a narrow strip of double sided tape along one edge.
Then very carefully opened the jar of Nuvo Radiant Gold Gilding Flakes.

Placed card front on copy paper to catch the stray flakes.
Covered the adhesive strip and sticky stenciled trees with flakes.
Used my finger to adhere flakes to adhesive and used 3 sizes of flat soft paint brushes
to carefully brush off the excess flakes.

Then die cut to give the images a nice frame using Penny Black "Leaf Stitches Frame Dies"
I popped up the main image with White Craft Foam and Done!

I Love the shine and so pleased to have another Christmas card for my stash:-)

You still have until the 24th to play along.  Hugs..

STAMPlorations April Stencil Reminder

So many inspiring projects from our very talented STAMPgirls designers!

My list of STAMPloration Products!

Clear Stickers New Day

I stenciled ARTplorations Helen G's "Make Marks 4" on Strathmore Mixed Media using
make up brush to blend Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover inks.

Of course I could not waste all the ink on the stencil so spritzed with water and
flipped the stencil over onto
another piece of MM paper and placed a paper towel over the stencil and rubbed
with my hand to spread the inks.  Now another background for a future project:-)

Next used one of the Hearts from the "Zen Hearts" stencil over Mixed Media and
watercolored with Zig markers and water brush. When dry removed stencil.

Then used Ultra Fine Tip Black Sharpie to outline the heart images and heart border.
Fussy cut and set aside.

Die cut border for the monoprint background with Crazy Double Running
Stitch Rectangles Nesting Dies.  Attached heart,  added 2 sticker sentiments.
Punched 2 butterflies out of Alcohol Ink on Yupo scraps.
Popped up butterflies, added Wink of Stella to heart and Done!

Wishing you a bright and cheerful day.  Take care,  my friends.  Hugs..

Beautiful Spring Cherry Blossoms!

Flowering Cherry Trees are a beautiful sign of Spring:-)

Wishing that my Cherry blossoms card brings you joy,  my friends.
Stay safe and creative!  Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations on your blogs.

I was inspired by the CAS Mix Up Challenge hosted by Loll to design
a card using bleaching.

I used Bleaching, Stamping, Watercoloring and Die Cut.

I Loved Hideko's bleaching of her cherry blossoms with just a touch
of beautiful soft watercoloring,  which inspired my design.

First I blended DOX Salty Ocean with makeup brush onto Mixed Media paper.
Then stamped and heat embossed my PB "First Blush" flowers using MISTI,
Versamark ink and SU Early Espresso EB powder.

Next die cut layer with PB "Leaf Stitched Frames".

I poured a small amount of bleach into a very small glass bowl.
I used an inexspensive small paint brush that Susan gave all of us at our 2019 retreat.

Next I painted over the image and border leaves with the bleach to remove the
blue background ink.

Then dabbed the brush onto paper towel to  remove the blue ink from the paint brush
and then added more bleach doing one petal at a time
until I had removed all the blue ink.

I was tempted to leave the flowers and leaves uncolored,  but
planned to add my card to the CAS Watercolour Challenge..Spring Flowers.
Hosted by Susan!

I was so inspired by all the CAS watercolored flowers cards that the DT created.
I actually used the same cherry blossom stamp that Loll used except
I turned mine up right.

Next I let the bleach dry thoroughly (overnight) then watercolored with
Zigs and water brush.  I used just a tiny bit of Zigs and moved the ink with the
water brush,  so I could get very light pink and yellow watercolors onto my blossoms
and get more highlights on the leaves.  I loved the results.

I popped up layer with white craft foam onto SU Whisper White 100# CS.
Added a STAMPlorations Clear Sticker "Happy Spring" to a black border.
Then added Dazzling Diamonds to the center of the flowers and Done!

So happy to add my card to 2 favorite challenges.
Thank you Susan, Hideko and Lolly for your inspiration:-) Hugs...

CAS Stencil April Challenge: Gilding Flakes

Time for our April CAS Stencil Challenge: Gilding Flakes hosted by our talented Cathy

Be sure to check out all the Gorgeous Shiny cards by our amazing DT and
Guest Designer,  Mac (thesweetestofpeas).

Here is my card using Gilding Flakes...Love the Shine!

Thank you Cathy for choosing a fun stencil challenge using Gilding Flakes.
I only have Nuvo Radiant Gold Gilding Flakes that have been much neglected!

I started with a SU Whisper White 100# card front.
Placed ARTplorations Christmas Trees Stencil over card front and used icraft
Deco/Foil Adhesive Pen thru the stencil.  Worked Great!

Removed stencil and Very Carefully opened the Gilding Flakes jar!!
Placed stenciled card front over copy paper to catch the flying flakes.

Added flakes over entire adhesive covered stenciling and rubbed with my finger to
secure the flakes.  Then used 3 sizes of soft flat paint brushes to remove the excess flakes.
The copy paper caught the excess flakes so I carefully poured back into flakes jar.
Just like adding excess embossing powder into jar.

Next die cut the image to give it a nice frame using Reverse Confetti "Lacy
Scallop Frame Confetti Cuts".

Found the CUTplorations "Christmas Sentiments Dies" Noel in my stash.  The Noel
was die cut from an Alcohol Ink  scrap.  I die cut 2 more out of white CS and stacked.
Popped up image with White Craft Foam onto Whisper White 100# card base and
Done!  Love the Shiny results that even showed up on my photo:-)

You still have until the 24th to play along in this awesome challenge.  Hugs..
