CAS Christmas Card Challenge: Decorations

I am just in time to play in this months CAS Christmas Card Challenge: Decorations!
Thank you Cathy for hosting a fun Challenge.

It has been such a busy month at home harvesting our amazing veggie/berry garden.
I have had to squeeze in all my card making and posting...like today😊

I did get to create 8 backgrounds a few days ago using 3D Embossing Folders on
different colors of SU and Tonic Foil Cardstocks that our very talented Bonnie, Lolly
and friends have been creating. Be sure and click on the links for samples!!!

My card using my beautiful shiny SU Silver Foil Cardstock background.

I Dry Embossed the SU Silver Foil with SU Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and
then sanded with a sanding block to give the background more shine.
I will be making more cards in the future using the 7 more backgrounds😊

Next die cut the background with Reverse Confetti "Lacy Scallop Frame".
Then stamped with Versamark the STAMPlorations "Warm Hands and Warm Hearts"
decorated packages image and the sentiment from the set  using MISTI.

Then heat embossed them with Ranger Princess Gold EB Powder,  which I LOVE!
It is a true gold!  Then used CUTplorations "Warm Hands and Warm Hearts" Die to
die cut the image and popped up with SU regular and Mini Dimensionals.
I fussy cut the sentiment and popped up.

Added the main image to SU Basic White 100# Card Base and Done!
Loved the result and it was truly a QCAS card just in time for the end of the Challenge😃

Now sharing a photo of the beautiful texture and shine!  Enjoy....

Thank you again Cathy for your wonderful challenge.
Love and Hugs...

STAMPlorations Vintage Blooms #2 ATC mini slimline cards

I have 6 Mini Slimline Cards to share using STAMPlorations

I Love the uncolored flowers with the text kraft backgrounds on the 120# ATC's.
That gave me the opportunity to use Prismacolor watercolor and colored pencils
 on the ATC's.

I created the same Mini Slimline (3 1/4" x 6 1/4") card bases using SU Kraft cardstock
on three cards and River Rock cardstock on three cards.
The River Rock was a lighter shade that matched 3 of the ATC's closer.

My set of River Rock cardstock Mini Slimline ATC cards.

Mini Slimline #1 Dance in the Rain.

I used the same design techniques for all the ATC's, but varied the pencil  and
SU cardstock frame colors. It was so relaxing and enjoyable coloring the pretty flowers.

I used Prismacolor pencils and Prismacolor watercolor pencils.
I used a slightly loaded with water #4 paint brush for watercoloring
with the watercolor pencils because the ATC's are not watercolor paper.
But they handle light watercoloring easily:-)

with Distress Inks onto the River Rock card front.

Popped up the ATC on craft foam and added The Inspirational #1 Clear Stickers
and done!

CAS Mix Up (S) stamping thru stencil Reminder

Having fun playing with CAS Mix Up Stamping thru Stencil Challenge hosted by Jenny!
Be sure and check out the awesome CAS Reminder cards by our talented Design Team and our
Two Guest Designers Bobby and Michele.

Loving your challenge Jenny.  I will be using this Stamping thru Stencil technique
more often because of you,  my friend😀

I arranged the "Magenta Sunflowers Stencil" over SU 100# Basic White Cardstock,
so it was off the edge, which would then
give my card front more white space.  Secured the stencil with 3M masking tape.

Then used i-Crafter's i- Brushes to blend the Distress Oxide Inks: Squeezed Lemonade,
Aged Mahogany, Lucky Clover, Fossilized Amber, and  Fired Brick.  I love these
dauber style brushes for small stencil openings.

Next stamped the images through the stencil with Archival Jet Black ink.
I used STAMPlorations
"Grunge and Mixed Media" and "Splitter Splattery Grunge" stamp sets.

I removed the stencil and immediately rubbed my stencil with Archival ink remover
and then washed the stencil in warm soapy water.  It removed most of the ink.
I loved the stenciled sunflower image.

Next die cut the border with Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle Die.
Then stamped the STAMPlorations Bee's Knees Layered Vase sentiment with DOX
Hickory Smoke.  Attached to SU Crushed Cucumber card base and Done!
Love how the green card stock shows through the die cut border.

We hope you can play along with us using the stamping through stencil techniques.
You have until the 24th to play along in this fun challenge by Jenny.

Love and Hugs,

CAS Mix Up Stamping Through Stencil

Here is what Jenny has to say,
I love this technique because it adds so much interest and depth to your stenciling. I personally find it easier to use a fairly open pattern to make it easier to get a good impression.

Be sure and check out the wonderful card samples by our Design Team and our talented
Guest Designer,  Bobby (Bits & Pieces) and Michele (I card Everyone)

We are also excited to Welcome our New CAS Mix Up Girl Designer: Chrissy (One of a Kind)
to our CAS Mix Up Family😊 Many of you know Chrissy as an amazingly talented
CAS designer, who rarely misses our CAS Mix Up Challenges.
A Big Hug and Welcome, Chrissy!

My card using Stamping,  Stamping thru Stencil & Sponging

This is my 1st time to try stamping thru a stencil.  Thank you Jenny for the challenge.  I always Love trying new techniques, my friend.  As you can see,  I chose a stencil with larger openings because of your advice!  Thank you!

I chose STAMPlorations Design Blox #5 Stencil 5.8" x 7.8".  The stencil is also part of the
Birthday Bundles #1 for a discount.  I sprayed the stencil with Pixie Spray, a light tack spray.
Then placed on SU Basic White 100# cardstock.  Moved to MISTI.

Stamped STAMPlorations In Bloom: Heartfelt Hibiscus using Archival Jet Black Ink.
Tip: Immediately cover stencil with Archival Ink Remover and place in sink of warm soapy water to remove the ink from the stencil.  I got all,  but a tiny bit of ink off my stencil.

After ink dried completely I used i-crafters i-brushes to blend the SU inks.
To get a smooth blend with the SU inks I tapped the brush lightly onto ink pad and then tapped brush onto scratch paper and then blended the inks for the background, flower and leaves.
 It gave a smooth blend.

I used new SU ink pads that were quite juicy. I listed the colors in my supply list.
I removed stencil and was very pleased with the depth and texture from the technique.
Next I trimmed the piece and stamped the STAMPlorations Helenium-Lg Hello sentiment using Archival Jet black ink.

I tried framing with a layer of black cardstock, but then thought it was more CAS if
I trimmed all,  but the left side of frame.  Added a few sequins,  attached to card base and Done!

This was a fun challenge and I am looking forward to using the technique again!

You have until the 24th to play along.
We would love to see your CAS Stencil cards😊

Love and Hugs and enjoy your Summer, but stay safe!
