Day 4 STAMPlorations Belated 7th Birthday Celebration

Day 4 of STAMPlorations Belated 7th Birthday Celebration!!

Be sure and check out all the Creative and Inspiring Projects by our
very talented Stamp Girls using New and Old Products!

 Hello Spring Clear Stickers.

I used the 3rd monoprint pull from the New Leaf Prints 4 Slimline Stencil for my
card front.  You can barely make out the veins of the leaves,  but did
create a cool artsy background.

Next I used one of Monika's "Rectangle Flexi-Templates" to mask the center
of the background,  attaching template with masking tape.
Used a make up brush to blend Distress Oxide inks in the masked rectangle.

Then stenciled the leaf using a Zig dark green pen and removed stencil.
Next outlined the leaf and hand drew the stem with Staedler black pen.
Outlined the frame with pen using a ruler.

Die cut the card front with CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch
Rectangle Nesting Die". and added Clear Stickers "Hello, Spring " sentiment.

Popped up the card front with craft foam onto 100# card base and Done!
I loved using my New Leaf Prints 4 Slimline Stencil and
New Rectangle Flexi-Template.

We would love to have you join our 7th Birthday Celebration.

STAMPlorations Always Anything Goes Stencil Challenge

STAMPlorations October Stencil Challenge: Always Anything Goes season
has begun again and all the DT girls are excited to share our stencil projects!

We would love to have you join our challenge and as always Shery has generous prizes.

Here is my card using
Life in Full Color Clear Stamp set.

I loved how artsy my card turned out.  My finished card is the negative
monoprint image.

Sharing the Positive Slimline Stenciled Image using Color Burst pigment
powder inks, which I will use for a future project.

I used a favorite STAMPlorations stamp set for my stamped images
and sentiments with Archival black ink.

I placed a 4" x 9" Strathmore Mixed Media paper over the slimline stencil that

was covered with wet Color Burst Inks: Pthalo Green, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Orange and
Alizarin Crimson.  Placed paper towel over mixed media paper and rubbed with my hand to help
pick up the inks onto the paper.  This was my 2nd pull of the negative monoprint image.
I will be making my 1st and 3rd monoprints into future projects:-)

Loved how my monoprint turned out.
Next stamped images and sentiments from the "Life in Full Color" stamp set
using Archival Jet Black Ink.  Attached to Slimline card base and Done!

We would love to see your Stencil Projects!

CAS Mix Up July (S) Stencil Tracing

Time for our July CAS Mix Up Stencil Tracing Challenge.

I am looking forward to hosting our 1st CAS Mix Up Stencil Challenge.
Be sure and check out our CAS Cards by our talented Design Team.

We also have "Three" very talented Guest Designers this month as they all were
Top Picks for the
May CAS Mix Up, CAS Stencil and CAS Watercolour Challenges:-)

Be sure and check out Greta (GG Creations), Sandie (London Days) and Kia (Kia's Place)
Gorgeous CAS Creative Stencil Tracing cards:-)

This is the 2nd CAS Mix Up Challenge after Loll did some reorganizing to make
her life simpler and the DT girls too.  We are rotating CAS Mix Up, CAS Stenciling and
CAS Watercolour Challenges in that order and repeating every 3 months.

I did not find any video's for Stencil Tracing online.
Basically you can outline with the stencil left on your image or outline
with the stencil removed.

Just add Stencil Tracing to my blog search to find many card examples in my blog.

Here is my Stencil Traced card.

I found this monoprint stenciled with Brushos Orange, Brilliant Red and Purple
crystal powders image in my Brushos stash.

I had laid the Dina Wakley "Leafy" stencil over Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
Secured with masking tape.  Then sprinkled the Brusho powders onto the paper and spritzed
liberally with water using T.H. Distress Sprayer to make a positive image layer.

Did not want to waste all the ink on the stencil,  so removed stencil carefully
and flipped over inky side of stencil onto another piece of MM paper.
Placed paper towel onto the stencil to transfer the ink onto MM paper
to get a monoprint image!

That was the negative monoprint image I found in my stash.
I die cut the piece with Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Die.
I could not line up the "Leafy" stencil,  so used an Ultra Fine Point Black Sharpie
to hand draw around the leaves and frame.

Popped up image with white craft foam and added to die cut SU Very Vanilla CS.
Added layers to Very Vanilla Thick cardbase.
Attached STAMPlorations Clear Sticker "Shine Bright" onto very vanilla scrap and Done!

I was pleased with the CAS artsy look of my card.
Hope you like it too and join us at our 1st CAS Mix Up Stencil Challenge.
You have until the 24th to play along! Hugs..

STAMPlorations Stencil Reminder

Already time for the STAMPlorations March Stencil Reminder Challenge!
Be sure and check out the inspiring stencil projects by our talented Stencil Challenge Team!

ARTplorations All Blooms Stencil

When I blended the Distress Oxide Inks using the All Blooms Stencil for my March 1st STAMPlorations launch card I did not want to waste all the inks on my stencil so I spritzed
the stencil with water and placed over Strathmore Mixed Media A2 card front
and pressed with a paper towel to transfer the ink.

I was pleased with the monoprint image,  so designed this card by die cutting the image
with Cutplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.

Using a larger frame from the Rectangle Nesting Dies,  I die cut a
SU piece of Rich Razzleberry Core-dinations CS (ret) to frame the monoprint image.

Popped up the monoprint using white craft foam onto colored cardstock
and attached to SU Whisper White #100 card base.

Added the Inspirations #1 Clear Sticker sentiment and a few STAMPlorations
Shaker Blends Sequins and Done!

Always love making Twofer projects when only planning one:-)
We would love to have you join us with your stencil project.

STAMPlorations December Stencil Anything Goes Challenge

Time for our year ending December 2019 STAMPlorations Stencil Anything Goes Challenge!
Our STAMPGirls will be sharing Reminder projects on Dec. 15th, 2019.
Our next Stencil Challenge will be January 1, 2020!

We would love for you to play along!  You do not have to use STAMPlorations products,
but we love it when you do:-)

Here are the Challenge Guide Lines and Prizes!

Basic A2 Panels Nesting Dies,
Autumn Falling Stencil and Skinny Sentiments Dies.

I began by laying my "Autumn Falling Stencil" over mixed media paper
that I had die cut with CUTplorations Basic A2 Panels Nesting Die.
Then secured stencil with masking tape.

Next sprinkled Bisters pigment ink powders over stencil
and spritzed with water to blend the colors and reconstitute the inks.
I used Yellow, Red and Mahogany inks. Loved the color combo!

Then carefully lifted the stencil and removed tape and turned over the stencil onto
another A2 die cut piece of mixed media paper to transfer the excess ink.
I laid a paper towel over stencil and gently moved and blended the wet ink with my hands.

I used the paper towel to carefully blot excess ink from the original positive
stenciled mixed media layer and the 2nd monoprint layer.
I will save the positive stenciled mixed media image for a future project.

Steps for designing finished card:
1) Die cut A2 background and 2 smaller panel dies with "A2 Panels Dies:.
2) Die cut white craft foam for the 2 largest panels using same dies.
3) Attached foam to A2 background and 2nd panel and attached to card base.
4) Inlaid 3rd smaller panel.
5) Die cut Hello using CUTplorations "Skinny Sentiments" Dies. I am loving the "Skinny
Sentiments
Sentiments" Dies, which has 7 words and 7 shadow backgrounds:-)

Done!  Thank you for reading all my description:-) Hugs..

CAS Stencil Reminder: Monoprint

Already time for our CAS Stencil Reminder: Monoprint Cards!
You still have until the 24th to play along.  Linda is our awesome host.

Our Design Team and Guest Designer Lucie (LucieG'sCreativeSpace) have
fabulous cards to inspire you!

Here is my CAS Stencil Monoprint Card!

First I die cut an A2 card front using the new CUTplorations
"Basic A2 Panels Nesting Dies" and attached to card base.
The die gave a nice crisp beveled edge to the card front.

I used a scrap from my CAS Stenciled with ARTplorations "Leaf Prints Stencil
Monoprint launch card to die cut a
Memory Box Stitched Circle and inlaid into die cut circle of card front.

Here is the detailed description of my monoprint technique on my launch card.
There was a blob of Brushos ink in the middle of my image so I fussy cut
one of leaves from the positive stenciled image and popped up with dimensionals.

Next I die cut the Happy shadow stamp from STAMPlorations "Skinny Sentiments" Dies.
Then die cut the skinny Happy out of the positive stenciled background scrap.
Attached with Connect Glue and added stamped birthday from STAMPlorations
"Birds of Paradise" stamp set and Done!

Hope you get to join the fun at CAS Stencil Card Challenge.  Hugs...

CAS Stencil Challenge: Monoprint

The CAS Stencil Challenge: Monoprint is being hosted by the very talent, Linda.

Stencil Monoprinting is one of my very favorite techniques!

Here is my CAS Monoprint Card.

I placed ARTplorations "Leaf Prints Stencil" over Strathmore Mixed Media and
secured with masking tape.  Then sprinkled Brushos Brilliant Red and Orange
pigment powders thru the stencil.  Generously spritzed with water.

Next removed the stencil carefully by lifting the edges of the masking tape.
Then flipped over onto A2 mixed media paper and placed paper towel
over the stencil and rubbed the ink gently around with my hands and
lifted off stencil.

Important Tip: Carefully blot the excess ink off the 1st Positive image
layer and the Monoprint layer. Then let Both images dry.

I should have taken photos of both backgrounds before I blotted them and let them dry.
Next time...promise...if I remember!

I die cut part of the monoprint background using my new to me Reverse Confetti,
Lacy Scallop Frame Confetti Cuts Die.

Next stamped and heat embossed in MISTI the Altenew "Leaf Canopy" sentiment.
Popped up the main image with white craft foam
and attached to SU Whisper White 100# Card Base and Done!

I loved the artsy look of the leaves and the framing.
Hope you can join us at CAS Stencil.  You have until the 24th to play along!  Hugs..

STAMPlorations November 1, 2019 Stencil Challenge Anything Goes

Be sure and check out the creative Artsy projects by our Design Team!

I was inspired by Fall colors!  The monoprint technique is one of my favorites.

I secured the ARTplorations "Roses" Stencil over Strathmore Mixed Media paper
securing with masking tape.  Then sprayed with Distress Oxide Ink Sprays:
Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Fossilized Amber.

I made This card with the positive image and then because I had so much DOX
ink left on the stencil,  I sprayed with water then turned it over onto another piece of
MM paper,  covering with paper towel and pressed down with my hands.

Lifted stencil off carefully placing a clean paper towel over image lightly to
dab off excess inks and LOVED the monoprint!!
I liked it much better than the positive image.  The colors really glowed.

I then washed stencil and placed over dry image and traced over stencil using
Black Fine Tip Sharpie pen.

Next die cut background with CUTplorations "Crazy Running Stitch Rectangle
Nesting Die".  Outlined die cut border with Sharpie  for a more grunge look.

Stamped "Fond Expressions 2" sentiment with Archival black ink
and attached to SU Whisper White 100# Card Base and Done!

I was so pleased with the results.
We would love to have you join our Stencil Challenge.  You have until
the end of the month to play along!  Hugs...

STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday Projects

I am pleased to be joining in STAMPlorations "Stencil Sunday".
Shery is again starting up this fun post using ARTplorations stencils.
Each month there will be stencil projects on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday.

I am sharing 4 Stencil Bookmark Projects the 3rd Sunday of March!

My STAMPloration Stencils, Stamps and Dies.
Sponged Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink onto 2 1/4" x 6"
Strathmore 140# Mixed Media Paper.

Placed "Fairy Tale Forest" Stencil over sponged bookmark and secured stencil
with masking tape. Then sponged with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink.

Stamploration Products used for stenciled bookmarks.

*****

My 1st Stenciled Bookmark.

Showing the shine from the heat embossed sentiment and
"Fairy Tale Forest" stenciled image.
Because this is a bookmark, I wanted to protect the ink from smearing
onto book pages by heat embossing.

*****

My 2nd Stenciled Bookmark

This bookmark background was an unplanned design.
I could not waste all the Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink on the stencil
from the 1st bookmark.
What's a girl to do...make a Monoprint image, of course:-)

It turned out beautifully with the "Fairy Tale Forest" Stencil!
I finished both 2 1/2" x 6" bookmarks with a cardstock frame and ribbon.

*****
My next 2 bookmark projects.
Sponged bookmarks using Distress Inks instead of Distress Oxide Inks and
used a different design than my 1st two bookmarks.

*****

My 3rd Stenciled Bookmark

I used 2 of the "ATC Tag Builders" Dies to die cut the top and bottom of
my bookmark.  Then stenciled the tag using the "Weaving" Stencil and Mowed Lawn
Distress Ink.  Stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with clear EB powder.

*****

My 4th Stenciled Bookmark using ATC Tag Builder Dies.

I used the new "Bloomdala #4" and "Bloomdala #14" Stencils sponging with Blueprint
Sketch Distress Ink.  Stamped sentiment and heat embossed 2" x 5 3/4" bookmark.

Thank you if you made it all the way down my photo post!

Thank you Shery for encouraging me to finally take photos of my design process.
