CAS Mix Up August Emboss Resist

I can't stop playing with the CAS Mix Up Emboss Resist Challenge...I
I just had to try the Joseph's Coat EB Resist Technique.

Here are a couple of links to Joseph's Coat videos...

My Joseph's Coat Emboss Resist card..

I love how our wonderful CAS Mix Up...Mixed Media Challenges make me inspired
to try new techniques!  So many gorgeous samples of Emboss Resist Techniques
by our fabulous DT and talented followers:-)

I used glossy paper?  A gift from a friend years ago:-)
Sponged the paper with Distress Oxide Inks in shades of yellow, red and green.
Dried with heat tool...Important Step!

Then added anti-static powder (Important too) and stamped SU Forever Fern image
using clear Versamark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Then used a brayer to add Distress Black Soot ink until the image was
completely covered.

This was the Emboss Resist...just used a damp paper towel to wipe off the
black ink from the heat embossed multicolored leaf..Wow...so beautiful
how the sponged DOX inks show up on the leaf image and
heat embossed shine!

Next die cut the image with Memory Box Rectangle Stitched Die.
Added the stamped and heat embossed "hello" from the same SU set and sequins.

Found a scrap of Basic Grey Designer Paper for the background and
popped up the image with craft foam.
Added to SU Basic White card base and Done!

I was very pleased with the results.
You still have until the end of the day on the 24th to play along.
So happy to see all the gorgeous cards for our CMU Emboss Resist Challenge.

Time for our CAS Mix Up (W) Emboss Resist Reminder cards Hosted by Nancy (me)
with inspiring card samples by our very talented DT and cards in our gallery.

You have until the 24th to play along in this easy Emboss Resist Challenge😄

Using Stamping, Heat Embossing, Emboss Resist, Watercoloring, Splatters.

I stamped the leaves from the SSS "Be Kind" stamp set onto Canson
Cold Press 140# watercolor paper using SSS White Pigment Ink and
heat embossed with SU Clear White EB Powder.

Then watercolored the leaves using Wet on Wet technique and a #6 paint
brush and Japanesque Colour Shadow Black Paints: Reddish, Bluish and
Greenish Black Paints.

I was inspired by Debbie Hughes Emboss Resist with Watercolor Wash

When dry I added splatters using the same inks.
Then added a sentiment sticker from STAMPlorations "Life is a Journey"
Next attached card front to SU Basic White 100# Card Base
and Done!

Remember you still have until the 24th to play along!

CAS Christmas Card Pine Challenge

I am playing in the CAS Christmas Card Challenge: Pine hosted by the
very talented Trina.  Be sure and check out the Design Team's beautiful
and creative Pine CAS Christmas Cards.

This is such a fun and creative way to add Christmas Cards to your Stash!

Here is my Pinecone Christmas Card.

I used my MISTI to stamp the SSS "Pinecone Background" stamp using Versamagic White
Pigment ink and heat embossed with SU Clear EB Powder on
Fluid 100 Hot Press 140# 100% Cotton Watercolor Paper.

Next I used make up brushes to add Distress Oxide Inks:
Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain, Rustic Wilderness and
Lucky Clover.

Then wiped off inks from the heat embossed images for the Embossed
Resist technique.  I will be adding this card to our CAS Mix Up
August Challenge: Emboss Resist!!

The Emboss Resist leaves a beautiful shiny Pinecone image!

Then trimmed the main image and added a thin heat embossed border using
Versamark and Ranger Distress Embossing Glaze Vintage Photo.
Next heat embossed the border for the card front using the same technique
and attached to SU Basic White 100# Card Base.

Stamped the Penny Black "Holiday Snippets" Believe sentiment onto main image.
Then popped up the main image onto card front with craft foam
and Done!

It was fun adding the heat embossed edges,  which was a new technique for me!
I saw a stamper do this,  but I do not remember who...darn.

Enjoy and hope you get to join in the Christmas Challenge too.
Love and Hugs..

Supplies:
Stamps: SSS Pinecone Background.  Penny Black Holiday Snippets.

CAS Mix Up Mixed Media August Emboss Resist Challenge

Time for our August CAS Mix Up Mixed Media Emboss Resist Challenge hosted by
Nancy (me) (scandinancycreates).  We have awesome inspiration cards by
our very talented DT and our talented GD Brenda (inkinspired to stamp)

Please remember to keep your cards Clean and Simple...Thank You!

Emboss Resist is an old technique using different Heat Embossing techniques.
I highly recommend you watch one or more of the videos that have been
provided by our design team.  I guarantee that you will be inspired to play along!
We can't wait to see your Clean and Simple Mixed Media cards:-)

I Used Stamping, Heat Embossing, Watercolor Wash EB Resist and Die Cutting.

I began by stamping my Essentials by Ellen "Mondo Hydrangea" stamp onto
Canson Cold Press 140# Watercolor Paper using MISTI and SSS White Pigment Ink.
Then heat embossed with Wow White EB Powder for the
Watercolor Wash Emboss Resist Technique by Debbie Hughes

Then the fun began using Gansai Tambi "Gem" Watercolors with #6 and #2 Princeton
paint brushes.  I let the paint dry between layers until I got the final effect I wanted.

The colors are beautiful and very shiny in the natural light.
I used Gem Colors: Blue, Green and Yellow Gold.

I finished my card using Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangle Dies to die cut
the main image.  Next stamped in MISTI
the Altenew "Leaf Canopy" sentiment and added a punched Yellow Gold heart.

My sympathy card went to a very dear friend.

We would love to have you join us at CAS Mix Up Emboss Resist Challenge.
