CAS Mix Up Stencil Rainbow Ink Blending

Time for the May CAS Mix Up (S) Rainbow Ink Blending Challenge hosted by our very talented Susan (Cat's Ink Corporated).  We have very colorful CAS cards by our DT and our Guest Designer.  Be sure and check out all their cards and the videos for gorgeous Rainbow Ink Blending Inspiration.

I used a Stencil, Distress Oxide Inks, Die cuts and Stamping.

I began by placing SU Whisper White 100# Cardstock on my glass mat and covering with ARTplorations Bold Florals Stencil and securing the stencil with 3M Masking Tape.

Used makeup brushes to blend my Distress Oxide Inks: Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet on the blossoms. Used DOX Rustic Wilderness and Peacock Feathers for the leaves.  Whew..lots of rainbow colors😀

Removed stencil and used Memory Box "Stitched Rectangle" Die to cut the main image.  Then used MISTI to stamp the SSS "Bouquet of Thanks" sentiment with Archival Jet Black ink.

Popped up the image with craft foam and attached to 100# cardbase and then decided to die cut the border using the leftover image with the next larger size of the stitched rectangle and slipped it over the popped up image.  Loved the results. Now my card was Done!

Hope you like my colorful CAS card and will join us for this fun challenge.  Thank you so much Jenny for your Rainbow Challenge.

CAS Christmas Card Challenge: Stocking

I am playing along with the CAS Christmas Card Challenge: Stocking.
Hosted by the very talented Trina (Phamtastic Design) and this months
wonderful Guest Designer, Helen (Helen's Craft Haven).
You still have until the 24th to play along:-)

My Christmas Stocking Card.

I found this beautiful Alcohol Ink on Acrylic background in my stash.  I used Ranger
reds and pinks Alcohol Inks.  I also added scrunched white tissue paper to the back
to bring out the colors.

Here is a link to one of my favorite cards using this technique with the Deets.

I die cut the Memory Box Large Circle Burst Die and
attached the background to SU card front with scotch tape.

I was happy to finally use my Faux Enamel stocking that was in my stash.
I die cut the stocking with CUTplorations Warm Hands Warm Hearts Die
out of Stathmore 350# Mixed Media paper and used an electric grill to melt layers
of SU Vintage Verdigris EB Powder (ret) and then added Ranger Gold
EB Powder and melted.  So much glittery sparkle in the stocking:-)

Popped up the stocking with foam tape, stamped Penny Black Holiday Snippets
sentiment and popped up with foam tape and Done!

Thank you Trina for a fun Stocking Challenge. Hugs..

CAS Stencil Card Challenge March Reminder

The March CAS Stencil Card Challenge hosted by our talented Julia
has been so much fun and inspiring.  So many beautiful cards by our DT and
Wonderful Guest Designer, Ishani (Quillish)

It is now time for our creative Reminder CAS Cards by our DT and GD.

You still have time to play along until the 18th.

I had so much fun playing that I ended up with a Gift Card Set!

My 1st Card,  Lot's of Love using Distress Oxide Inks.

My 2nd card using different Distress Oxide Inks and different sentiment.

My 3rd card using the same Distress Oxide Inks as my 1st card, but shows what Not to do.
I blended my inks together too much so ghosting did not show,  but still a nice background.

My cards are a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" format.  I die cut the card fronts with Memory Box
"Large Circle Burst"  Die.

I used Loll's Ghosting Technique Video for my technique.
I sponged my backgrounds with Distress Oxides using TH Mini Blending Tool.
Let dry completely then stamped sentiment using MISTI and heat embossed.

Attached to die cut layer and then to SU Whisper White card base.
I added sequins and tiny pearls for embellishements and Done!

I added DOX colors to my Supply list below. Enjoy.
