CAS Christmas Card Challenge: Critters

Just in time for the CAS Christmas Card November Challenge: Critters hosted by Barb!
Such a fun challenge with the cutest Christmas cards by the DT, GD and in the Gallery.

Here are my sweet Polar Bear and Penguin Critters:-)

I love this sweet image "Starry Night" by Whimsy Stamps.
There was no sentiment in the set.  I will add a Christmas sentiment inside.
I think the balance is perfect as it is....

I die cut the background of the SU Basic White 100# Cardstock using
SSS Postage Stamp Edge Frames.
Then used MISTI to stamp the critters and stars with Versafine black ink
and heat emboss with SU Clear EB Powder.

Next I stamped the critters image on cardstock and fussy cut for a mask.
Masked the critters and used craft brush to add the DOX Salvaged Patina background.

Added Connect Glue to beary's hat, stars and snow that the critters were sitting on..
Then added SU Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

I used Zigs to color the sweet polar bear, penguin and stars.
Connect Glue is great for adding little dots on the sky and then sprinkle with
more Dazzling Diamonds.  So Glittery and pretty.

I popped up the image with craft foam and added to SU Basic White CS
and Done!  I LOVE this challenge and do not think I missed any in 2021:-)

So happy I was able to squeeze in a Critter Christmas Card:-)
Enjoy your Holiday Season and wishing you all a Healthy and Happy
Christmas with friends and family...Be safe!

Love and Hugs..

CAS Mixed Media Stencil Monoprint card

Our CAS Mixed Media Stencil Challenge ends tomorrow night.
I am getting under the wire with another Stencil Monoprint card.  I LOVE this technique!
Loll is hosting this fun and creative challenge.
An Awesome Way to end our 2021 Challenges.
Our Design Team is taking December off to concentrate on the Holidays:-)
Wishing you all a safe, healthy and Happy Holiday Season.

My CAS Stencil Monoprint Card

This is pushing the limit for a Clean and Simple card,  but I decided to still share as
I wanted all our followers and friends to Enjoy Every Moment of the
Holiday Season with family and friends.
Most importantly...stay safe and Healthy, dear friends.

I created my image several months ago using Distress Oxide Inks over the
ARTplorations Happy Flowers Stencil.
I then chose another monoprint image from my stash:-)
After thinning the ink with water I applied ink with a paint brush to the stencil
and turned the stencil over onto Strathmore Cold Press WC paper.
Then removed stencil.  Blotted a little of the excess ink
with a paper towel and let dry.

Then added stencil again and outlined the flowers with Staedler black art pen.

After choosing the background from my stash...I die cut the image with MB Stitched
Rectangle Die.  Stamped and heat embossed the
Penny Black Special Sentiments 30-574 sentiment and
popped up image with craft foam onto SU Basic White 100# paper.

Quick card to wish you all the very best and Happy Holiday Season.
Love and Hugs...see you in 2022😊

We have fabulous CAS card samples by our very talented Design Team to Inspire you!

Wishing you a wonderful, healthy and creative Holiday Season,  dear friends.

Loll's Message
Stencil Monoprint is my favourite stencil technique.
You start by inking the stencil, spritzing with water or shimmer spray.
You turn it over onto a clean piece of card that can take water, pressing down with a paper towel to absorb any excess ink.

This gives you a negative image of your stencil.
Instead of colouring the design or image on a stencil, you are colouring the background.
I hope you enjoy this technique as much as I do.

Using Stencil Monoprint, Tracing, Stamping, Watercoloring and Die Cutting.

I used Loll's technique above and inked the borrowed retired stencil from a friend
with Lindy's  Magicals.  Sorry I could not get a good photo of the pretty shine.
Blotted the ink a bit with a paper towel.  Then when dry replaced stencil
and traced with Staedler black permanent ink pen.

which gives a nice subtle finished beveled edge.
Stamped the SU "Forever Fern" sentiment, added sequins and Done!
Quick Clean and Simple technique and card for my dear 91 year old friend:-)

Love and Hugs..

Supplies:
Stamps: SU Forever Fern sentiment.
Paper: Strathmore Mixed Media. SU Basic White 100# and Garden Green.

STAMPlorations Christmas in the Air Kit #2 using "Greetings of the Season" stamp set
designed by Dee for my 1st project.

I absolutely LOVE Dee's "Greetings of the Season" stamp set,  which is part of the CITA Kit #2.
Besides the gorgeous ornament stamp there are three other images
plus five wonderful Christmas sentiments:-)

I watercolored the ornament, stars and holly with Zigs.
Stamped the sentiment using my Misti.
Added rhinestone embellishments and attached card front to SU Real Red CS,
which I attached to SU 100# CS card base and Done!
I loved the results and hope you are inspired:-)

My 2nd project.. CUTplorations Stitched Tags Nesting Dies used to die cut tags
and add Ephemera Noel Tiles!

I die cut the tags out of The Essential Craft Paper "Dusk" by Craft Consortium.
Die cut a SU Basic White Layer to add to the back of the tags.

Stamped the Greetings of the Season sentiments.
Popped up the Noel Tiles with craft foam added the rhinestones.
Then added the ribbons from my stash and Done!
I love the results and might end up adding the pretty tags to a card base:-)

Using Stencil Monoprinting, Stamping, Watercoloring with Magicals and Die Cut.

I am sharing a close up of all the Lindy Magicals Gorgeous Shine 😎

I found this beautiful background in my monoprint stash:-)
I had reconstituted different colors of Magicals powder with water and smooshed
the T.H. Wildflowers stencil that I made using the T.H. Wildflowers Dies
and an acrylic sheet.  It worked great!

Thank you Lolly for hosting this awesome CAS Mix Up Monoprint Challenge.
The shine from the Magicals and the Gold Foil Cardstock
behind the Monoprint image are Stunning.

I die cut the background with Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Frames.
Attached the SU Gold foil CS behind the background.
Stamped the STAMPlorations sentiment and popped up the monoprint image
with craft foam onto SU Basic White 100# CS and Done!

I Loved the results!  We would love to have you join us

ARTplorations Sanna Lippert Designs Fairy Tale Forest Stencil.
Clear Stickers Free Spirit

I used a Stencil Monoprint Technique on Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
I placed the ARTplorations Sanna Lippert Designs Fairy Tale Forest Stencil
over the MM paper.

Next I  sprinkled Bisters crystal inks over the stencil and spritzed with water
using Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer to reconstitute the crystals.  Then carefully
flipped the stencil onto another piece of MM paper and used a paper towel to press the
inks into the MM paper.  That gives you a cool monoprint image.
You can see then how the white areas are the Fairy Tale Forest Stencil image.

You can get another 1 or 2 lighter images on more paper for softer backgrounds.
I got 2 more pulls for future projects:-)  I used Yellow, Green, Blue and Natural
Bisters crystals.

When 1st image was dry I die cut with
Added natural twine.  Popped up with craft foam STAMPlorations
 Clear Stickers Free Spirit sentiment.
Attached layers to SU Crumbcake Cardstock and Done!

I loved the earth tones and the stenciled monoprint image.
There are so many creative ways to use stencils
and STAMPlorations ARTplorations has a huge selection to choose from:-)

You have until the end of the month to hop along with us at
STAMPloration Stencil  Anything Goes Challenge!
