We would love to have you join our creative fun using your stencils.

My stencil traced card!

I began by using a #4 paint brush to add Gansai Tambi Pearl Watercolors on Yupo paper.
The Pearl colors give a beautiful subtle sheen to the background.
Used: Lemon Yellow, May Green, Pink, Scarlet Red, and Cobalt Blue for a soft
rainbow effect.

Then sprayed ARTplorations Prim Pattern Stencil with Pixie Spray,  a light tacky
adhesive.  Placed stencil over Yupo paper and traced with Ultra Fine Point Black Sharpie.

Die Cut background and SU Whisper White 100# CS frame with
Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangles Dies. Popped up background with white craft foam.

Added die cut Alexandra Renke Spring Flowers Die using Gina K Connect Glue.
I received several A. Renke die cut flowers from my dear friend Bonnie
a couple of years ago.  I still have more for future cards:-)

Added CRAFTplorations "Shine Bright" Clear Sticker to a scrap of 100# CS
and trimmed,  then attached to background and Done!
Stencil tracing is such a fun and easy technique to make your stencil image pop!

We would love to have you join us.  Stay safe and Hugs..

CAS Mix Up July (S) Stencil Tracing

Time for our July CAS Mix Up Stencil Tracing Challenge.

I am looking forward to hosting our 1st CAS Mix Up Stencil Challenge.
Be sure and check out our CAS Cards by our talented Design Team.

We also have "Three" very talented Guest Designers this month as they all were
Top Picks for the
May CAS Mix Up, CAS Stencil and CAS Watercolour Challenges:-)

Be sure and check out Greta (GG Creations), Sandie (London Days) and Kia (Kia's Place)
Gorgeous CAS Creative Stencil Tracing cards:-)

This is the 2nd CAS Mix Up Challenge after Loll did some reorganizing to make
her life simpler and the DT girls too.  We are rotating CAS Mix Up, CAS Stenciling and
CAS Watercolour Challenges in that order and repeating every 3 months.

I did not find any video's for Stencil Tracing online.
Basically you can outline with the stencil left on your image or outline
with the stencil removed.

Just add Stencil Tracing to my blog search to find many card examples in my blog.

Here is my Stencil Traced card.

I found this monoprint stenciled with Brushos Orange, Brilliant Red and Purple
crystal powders image in my Brushos stash.

I had laid the Dina Wakley "Leafy" stencil over Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
Secured with masking tape.  Then sprinkled the Brusho powders onto the paper and spritzed
liberally with water using T.H. Distress Sprayer to make a positive image layer.

Did not want to waste all the ink on the stencil,  so removed stencil carefully
and flipped over inky side of stencil onto another piece of MM paper.
Placed paper towel onto the stencil to transfer the ink onto MM paper
to get a monoprint image!

That was the negative monoprint image I found in my stash.
I die cut the piece with Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Die.
I could not line up the "Leafy" stencil,  so used an Ultra Fine Point Black Sharpie
to hand draw around the leaves and frame.

Popped up image with white craft foam and added to die cut SU Very Vanilla CS.
Added layers to Very Vanilla Thick cardbase.
Attached STAMPlorations Clear Sticker "Shine Bright" onto very vanilla scrap and Done!

I was pleased with the CAS artsy look of my card.
Hope you like it too and join us at our 1st CAS Mix Up Stencil Challenge.
You have until the 24th to play along! Hugs..

Here is my stenciled card
I had a fun play day recently with my sister, Margie and 2 girlfriends.
We played with Ranger Alcohol Inks on Yupo paper.

I came home with 17,  A2 size backgrounds:-)  You will be seeing more cards
in the near future using some of these backgrounds.

I used blue, teal and purple shades of Alcohol Inks and die cut the background with
CUTplorations "Basic A2 Panels Nesting Dies".

Then placed my new to me ARTplorations "Just Squares Stencil" over background,
securing with masking tape and traced the squares using ultra fine tip black Sharpie.

Die cut black cardstock using a size larger Basic A2 Panels Die.
Lucky me...I found these already die cut flowers and thank you's in my stash.
I stacked 3 Memory Box "Sketch Daisy" die cut flowers and
Poppystamps "Scribble Thank You" sentiments using Correct Glue.
Added the STAMPlorations "Shaker Blends Sequins" for embellishements.

Then dry embossed the SU Whisper White 100# CS card base front
using the "3D Subtle" Embossing Folder.  Love the texture.

Then popped up the panel with white craft foam and attached to card front
and Done!  Loved the results and QCAS design!

You have until the 24th to play along and celebrate our 1st Anniversary:-) Hugs.

CAS Watercolour Reminder

Hosted by Loll

Here is my Rainbow card filled with Hugs!

I had so much fun watercoloring my Distress Ink Rainbow colors.
Added ink to small rectangular acrylic block and spritzed with water using TH Spritzer,
then stamped onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper.

I used these Distress Inks: Candied Apple, Spice Marmalade, Wild Honey,
Lucky Clover, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet.

I repeated my acrylic block stamping twice more for a real vibrant effect.
Drying between layers.
Next I die cut my piece with my MB Stitched Rectangle Die.

To add more dimension and pull the colors together,  I drew the circles
with my Staedler Pen using my Kaisercraft "Bubbly Stencil"!

Then added my CUTplorations "Hugs" word die that I cut
from a scrap in my Distress Ink Smooshing Stash,
popping it up on a black die cut Hugs for more dimension and a shadow effect.

I then attached my main image with fun foam to my SU Whisper White card base.
And Done!  Loved the vibrant rainbow colors.

You have until the 24th to play along at CAS Watercolour. Be sure and check out
the gorgeous samples by our DT and awesome GD Hannelie (desert diva).

Happy Rainbow creating my friends.  Hugs..

Time already for our CAS Watercolour February Heart Challenge!

You are going to be so inspired by all the Lovely Heart Cards by our Design Team
and very talented Guest Designer Sue (Sue"s Card Craft).
Be sure and check out their beauties!

Here is my watercolored Valentine card with several stenciled hearts:-)

The background was smooshed and splashed with Distress Oxides: Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple and Fired Brick on Strathmore Mixed Media paper.  Check out Loll's videos on Smooshing with Inks and Splash Watercolors Backgrounds videos that I linked.

Next I  placed my ARTplorations "Hearts all Over" stencil over the die cut background
 and secured with painters tape.

Now ready to watercolor the hearts using Distress Oxides with my aqua painter.
This is my 1st time to watercolor with a brush thru a stencil.
I was inspired to try this technique by my good friend and DT member Susan (Cardmaker's Garret),  who recently made This  beautiful watercoloured stenciled background!  TFS Susan.

Next I die cut part of  the stenciled background with my AliExpress cross stitched partial circle die.

I then die cut my SU Thick Whisper White card front layer using my Penny Black Antique Frames Die Cut set.    Attached main image and Placed in MISTI to stamp my sentiment.
Added stamped tiny heart, Wink of Stella and heart sequins.

I wish you could see the sparkle from the Wink of Stella.  So pretty IRL!

CAS Mix UP February Corrugated Reminder

Who would have thought Corrugated techniques could be so creative and versatile!!!  So many awesome samples for the CAS Mix Up Corrugated Reminder Challenge from the DT, GD and our growing Gallery!

Here is my Card using Stamping + Corrugated Cardboard Sleeve + stenciling with eb paste and Tracing Stenciling.

I placed my TCW Cafe Latte Stencil over my Distress Ink Smooshed background and drew the black lines with my Staedler permanent ink marker and then fussy cut.  I made my smooshed background with Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Brushed Corduroy, Scattered Straw and Tumbled Glass by adding inks onto my craft mat and spritzing with water and then smooshing my watercolor paper onto the inks.  I used Loll's Smooshing with Inks Technique.

I set aside my cup and took a piece of heavy kraft paper and put it through my crimper. I then cut my piece to size for the cup and used my Tim Holtz Distress Crayons: Antique Linen and Vintage Photo to color the corrugation and blended the colors with my finger and spritzed lightly with water.  That really brought out the ridges.  I wrapped the corrugated sleeve around the cup and attached with scotch tape.  That was a fun project creating my main image.

Next I used a new TCW Mini Raven Mosaic Stencil to add Golden's Embossing Paste for texture to the background of the SU Confetti Cream CS (ret).  Stamped my sentiment using PB "Heartfelt Thanks" stamp set with T.H. Vintage Photo using my MISTI.

Next I added a thin frame using SU Early Espresso CS and attached my card front to my Confetti Cream card base using foam tape.  That was it!

I have really enjoyed playing with corrugated cardboard and cardstock this month.  Thanks again Susan DT (Cardmaker's Garret) for hosting your fun CAS Mix Up Corrugated February Challenge.

You still have until February 24th to play along.  Happy Corrugating my friends.  Hugs...

Live with Passion

Here is my 2nd card for the CAS Mix Up January 2017 Challenge

I used Stamping + Alcohol Inks liquid colors on Yupo + my choice..Stencil Tracing and Die Cuts

I am sharing a wonderful Alcohol Inks on Yupo Paper Video by our very talented Loll (Stamping with Loll).  I made my background piece using Ranger Alcohol Inks: Sunshine Yellow, Sunset Orange and Watermelon and spritzed with Blending Solution on a sheet of foil.  Then smooshed my Yupo paper...just like Loll.  I spritzed the remaining ink with more Ranger Blending Solution and smooshed another piece.  I used the 2nd piece that turned out lighter for my background.  I used my 1st background as die cuts for my CAS Mix Up January launch card.

I placed my New ARTplorations "Broken Glass" Stencil over my Alcohol Ink background and taped down with 3M masking tape.  Then traced the stencil using Staedtler permanent marker and die cut using CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Medium Die".  I also die cut my SU Whisper White thick cardstock card front using the largest die from the same set.

I stamped my SU ""Sunshine Sayings" sentiments on SU WW Thick cardstock using Archival Jet Black ink and framed with SU Basic Black CS adding SU rhinestones for a bit of bling.

I popped up the background for added dimension.  An easy card for a January birthday card for a dear family friend,  who will soon be celebrating her 90th birthday and is as sharp as ever :-)

My card is also for the current Time Out #73 Words Challenge

'With each sunrise we are given a chance for a new beginning'

I used sunrise colors and a reminder that each day of our lives should be celebrated!

Also STAMPlorations Anything Goes Challenge

And..Simon Says Stamp Blog Monday Challenge..Start A Fresh..my stencil was fresh out of the pkg!

Happy New Years dear friends.  Wishing you all the best......

Alcohol Ink Bold Florals Hugs

I was playing with my Alcohol Inks using Loll Thompson's Alcohol Inks Smooshing Technique. Here is Loll's U-Tube Alcohol Inks with Yupo Paper Tutorial.  I followed her smooshing on foil technique exactly.

After letting my AI background dry completely,  I traced my tag using ARTplorations Mini Bold Florals Stencil and my Staedler permanent ink marker and then fussy cut my tag using my papersnips.

I then laid my ARTplorations stencil over my piece of fussy cut tag.   By the way,  I used Tim Holtz Ranger Alcohol Inks: Sunshine Yellow, Sunset Orange and Watermelon for my smooshed background.

I traced the Bold Flowers through my stencil with my Staedler Permanent Ink Pen.  Die cut "hugs" from a scrap piece of the AI Yupo background and die cut 2 more times using basic black cardstock to pop up the sentiment.  I attached each layer with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen and attached to tag.  Added SSS Moonshine sequins and SU seam binding and dimensionals to pop up tag on the cardstock.

The card is a 4 1/4" x 6" tent fold design to fit the large tag.

I will definittely be making more backgrounds with Loll's technique.  I did spritz the AI with 91% alcohol to reconstitute the ink so I could get a 2nd lighter piece that I will use on a future card.

Enjoy and Happy Stamping...Hugs

CUTplorations November photo challenge..I was inspired by the colors.  My Hugs is a CUTplorations Die.
