Day Five...Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas

Day Five...Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends.

You have until Nov 23rd to link your tags:-)

I have 2 tags to share.  The Positive Die Cut Tag!

I love how this beautiful SSS Snowflake Block Die turned out!
My die was a gift from my special friend,  Loll:-)

I die cut the SU Whisper White Thick Cardstock tag using 2nd largest,

Then die cut the snowflake die with the same CS.
Die cut a 2nd snowflake Die with SU Champagne Glitter Paper.

Then began popping out the open pieces of snowflake image,
next popping out glitter negative image and adding to positive image,
just like a jig saw puzzle.

I attached block die image using SU Fine Tip Glue Pen to
SU WW Thick CS to secure all pieces.

Popped up image with Foam Tape.
Added stamped PB Happy Holidays sentiment,  SU retired Ribbons and Done!

The Negative Tag.

I used the same products and techniques, but used the glitter paper
for the positive snowflake images and the white cardstock for the negative images.

Added glitter paper to frame the sentiment.

I am so pleased with the result of each tag.  I liked the snowflakes blocks
so well I ended up making 2 Christmas cards too:-)

Hope you get to play along in Loll's fun tag event too.
Happy Holidays creating, my friends.  Hugs...

Day Three..Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas

Day Three--Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends.

Such a fun time of year to enter your tags for Loll's tag challenge.
You have until the Nov 23rd to link your tags:-)

Here is my Day 3 Tag..Enjoy

I found this green and yellow Alcohol Ink on Yupo in my stash.
It was perfect for a tree Christmas tag design.

I wanted to try the Alcohol Ink Lift technique with a TH Woodland Layering Tree Stencil.
I used a sponge dauber to lift the ink with TH Alcohol-Lift Ink.
Worked great!

I then stamped the text thru the stencil using Archival Jet Black ink and MISTI.
The text is from the SU "Evergrees" retired set.
Doodled around the border with Staedler waterproof marker.

Stamped my PB Holiday Snippets sentiments.
Added a die cut layer of SU Whisper White Thick CS to add strength to the tag.
Then added a ribbon from my stash and Done!

Enjoy and do check out all the Gorgeous tags in Loll's Tag Challenge.
The Gallery is growing daily with amazing and creative tags.

Happy Holiday Tag Creating, my friends.  Hugs...

Day Two-Twelve Tags of Christmas

It is time for Loll's 5th Annual Christmas Tag Event with her Friends.

I am thrilled to be asked again to join Loll's talented group of Guest Designers.

The tag event is such a fun way to build up needed tags for the holidays.
Here is my Christmas Tag for Day 2.

I had so much fun making this bright and bold poinsettia tag using
STAMPlorations Layered Poinsettia stamp set, designed by Shirley of Bees Knees.
Shirley designed 3 Layered Christmas stamp sets: Layered Poinsettia,  Layered
Mistletoe and Layered Lights.  They are perfect for quick and creative holiday cards.

I die cut my Arches Hot Press paper with CUTplorations "Stitched Tags Nesting Dies"
using the 2nd to the largest of the 6 tag dies.

Placed tag in MISTI and placed 1st solid stamp layer on tag and then inked
with Distress Inks, one layer at a time.  I inked stamp with Festive Berries,
spritzed with water and stamped tag then moved ink around with paint brush.
Next did the same with Barn Door DI.  Let Dry.

Next used outlined poinsettia layer stamp to stamp over solid poinsettia
using MISTI and Archival black ink.

I stamped the flower image on post-it note and fussy cut out for a mask.
I added mask to flower,  colored solid small leaf with Mowed Lawn and spritzed with
water and used MISTI to stamp each leaf and paint brush to move ink around.

Let leaves dry and then stamped with lined leaf using black ink and MISTI.
It was all a fairly quick process. Loved the bold, bright look.

Left tag in MISTI and added the sentiments, which was fun.
I got to use the top sentiment from Layered Lights, 2nd sentiment
from Layered Mistletoe and 3rd sentiment from Layered Poinsettia:-)

My final touches: SU Retired Ribbons and Gold Stickles and Done!

I loved how my tag turned out and hope to create more with the other Layered sets:-)

I am sharing my Poinsettia Card.
Now you can see how my card inspired my Christmas Tag design!

Enjoy and hope you join us at Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas 2018 Event.
There are 10 more days of gorgeous inspiring tags by Loll and her Guest Designers.
We can't wait to see your creative tags!
You have until Nov. 23rd to link up your tags.
.Hugs...

Loll's 2018 Twelve Tags of Christmas Day 1

Such a fun time of year with our dear friend Loll making sure
we have Christmas tags ready for the holidays!

I am sad Loll that this is your last tag event,
but Thank You so much for the 5 years of creative fun!

I use my tags to attach to plates of Norwegian Krumkakes for friends.
It has been a family tradition for generations starting in approximately 1914
after our Norwegian Grandma married Grandpa Knutson.  Both Norwegian immigrants!
Grandma shared her Krumkakes in coffee tins to keep them crisp and fresh.

Here is my tag for Day 1

A simple Christmas Tag using a CUTplorations Stitched Tags Nesting Die.  I used the
2nd largest Tag Die.

Next sponged Strathmore Mixed Media paper with Distress Inks and
then placed in MISTI to stamp images.

I used Archival black ink to stamp STAMPlorations Layered Mistletoe image and
sentiment designed by Shirley (The Bee's Knees).

Then added Nuvo Crystal Drops..Red Berry and SU red ribbon (ret) and Done!
Loved how my tag turned out and yet,  so easy.

Hope you get to play along in Loll's tag event that lasts until the 16th.

Happy Holidays and Tag creating, my friends. Hugs..

CAS Watercolour November Challenge: Christmas Florals and Greenery

CAS Watercolour Christmas Florals and Greenery Challenge,
hosted by Susan (Cardmaker's Garret) is perfect so close to the holidays.

Gorgeous CAS Card samples also by the talented DT and GD Maura aka (Beesmom).

Here is my 4 1/4" square CAS Christmas Card.

While on our recent trailer camping vacation I did some watercoloring.
I had this beautiful image just waiting to make into a finished card:-)

I used my MISTI to stamp my STAMPlorations Christmas Candles-Large
image using Archival Black ink and then heat embossed with black EB powder.

Then the fun began...Watercolored with Zig markers spreading the ink
with a watercolor brush.  I kept layering the colors until I was happy with the results.

I had every detail colored except the larger candle and decided to color with Magicals
pigment powder reconstituted with water.  I used a copper color.
I love the rich shimmery color next to the orange candle.

Finished my card last night at home.
I had a smudge of red ink at the top on the white background...darn.
Decided instead of fussy cutting to cut image with a stitched circle die.
Worked great...smudge all gone:-)

Added the joy sentiment and popped up image onto the card base and Done!
Loved the results and only took minutes because my image was already colored:-)

So happy to have another Christmas card for my stash.

Happy Holidays, my friends.
