Group of Seven January Alcohol Inks with Gilding Flakes

This link includes all the step by step instructions and
wonderful helpful card ideas by the Group of Seven Cardmakers:-)

I made 5 Alcohol Ink Backgrounds.  Then had so much fun creating 3 finished cards.
It is impossible to make only 1 or 2 AI Backgrounds!
************************

My 1st card is for Denny's Valentine.💕

I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks on Yupo Paper for all my backgrounds.
I used Raspberry and Watermelon Alcohol Inks for this card.

Next I used my puffer tool and Andirondack Blending Solution to move the AI
around until I was happy with the results.  This Video..Alcohol Inks plus Gilding Flakes
was very helpful:-)  Then let my backgrounds air dry.

I used Connect Glue in my Fine Tip Bottle to apply narrow strips of
Nuvo Radiant Gold Gilding Flakes.  I used my finger to carefully press down the flakes
and burnish softly with my finger and let dry.  This is a bit messy,
but my "Surface Sweep Brush" really helped to
clean up all the stray pieces of flakes off my card.

I used Ninnah Solar White Crest Smooth for my cardstock base on all my cards.
The gold heat embossed die cut sentiment is from STAMPlorations Trendy Butterflies.
I heat embossed the sentiment with Ranger Princess Gold EB Powder.

I used a retired SU mini butterfly punch for the sweet butterflies and added rhinestones,
Then popped up the layers with craft foam.

I added a SU Black Cardstock "SSS A2 Thin Frame" to frame the Alcohol ink
layers on the card base and Done!

I was very pleased with the result:-)

*******************************

My 2nd Card,,,Smile!

I used the same technique and products on my 2nd card,  just changed the
alcohol ink background colors to: Sailboat Blue and Lemonade.
Then added a STAMPlorations heat embossed SMILE and
Popped up with craft foam!
**************************

My 3rd Card...Hugs!
I used Mermaid and Sunshine Yellow Alcohol Inks and popped up.

Here is a bonus Close Up to show all the Shine from the Gold Gilding Flakes:-)

This technique was such a fun technique with such beautiful Shine:-)

I hope you get to join us on our Group of Seven Cardmakers Linky:-)

Love and Hugs,
