We are starting out the New Year with Loll's Gorgeous new "Splash" Badge!
I am hosting our CAS Mix Up Cling Wrap + Stamping + Your Choice.
Cling (Plastic) Wrap is the magic ingredient for creating interesting mixed media backgrounds
using any wet medium: acrylics, watercolors, pigment powders, alcohol inks, dye inks, etcs.
Your backgrounds can be used with die cuts, stamping, etc.
Remember, must be Clean and Simple designs.
We would love to have you join our 1st 2018 Challenge.
Be sure and check out all the fabulous samples by our DT and creative Guest Designer, Christine (It's a card days night).
Here is my card using Stamping + Cling Wrap Technique with Brushos + Die Cuts.
I have a stack of 9 Cling Wrap Backgrounds using different watercolor and paper products. Here are the 2 Brushos on Strathmore Bristol Paper that I used for my die cut flower.
I used this 1st background that was mostly green Brushos to die cut the entire
flowers and leaves image.
I used this 2nd background using greens and blue Brushos to die cut just the flowers.
I still have leftover pieces for a future project. I used our GD Christine's technique to wipe off
some of the ink with baby wipes to get the colors brighter.
Worked Great! Thank you, Christine.
Worked Great! Thank you, Christine.
We have several You Tube videos for you if you need help with the Cling Wrap Technique.
I sprinkled Brushos onto my Bristol paper and spritzed liberally with water.
Then placed a Cling Wrap piece (larger than paper) over the wet Brushos and
scrunched the wrap. The hard part..waiting for the ink under the wrap to dry.
Be patient..even over night is not a bad idea.
When dry remove the Cling Wrap and admire your background.
You will see several different ways to use your backgrounds by our DT and GD.
After die cutting my MB Vignette Floral Branch once with each background I attached to
my die cut PB Vintage Frame using SU Fine Tip Glue Pen. The flowers have 2 layers. The green layer and then the blue petals.
Placed layer in MISTI and stamped my SSS Thoughtful Messages sentiment
with Archival Black Ink. Added my rhinestones, sequins and
popped up using fun foam. Then added main image to SU Thick Whisper White card base.
You have until the 24th to play along at CAS Mix Up. I am looking forward to seeing your
creative Cling Wrap CAS designs:-) Be sure and check out our DT and GD's samples.
