Stenciled Brushos Monoprint Sunflower!

Celebrating The Flower Challenge 1st Birthday again with another Favorite Fall Flower..Sunflower!

Congratulations Aileen and to your talented Design Team!

Here is my Brushos Monoprint Sunflower Anniversary Card!

Denny and I will soon be celebrating our 52nd Anniversary...oh my!  We both Love sunflowers, Fall colors, CAS designs...and each other:-)

I used painter's tape to tape down my TCW Sunflower stencil onto Arches Mixed Media paper.  Then lightly sprinkled Brushos thru my stencil and liberally spritzed with water.  I layed a 2nd piece of mixed media paper over the top of the stencil to pick up the monoprint (negative) image.  I loved how it turned out.  Set aside to dry.  I have yet to finish a card using the positive image.

Next I die cut my image using my Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Die and then placed in my MISTI to stamp the PB Happy Snippet "True Love" sentiment.  It is kind of subtle,  but after 52 years I do not think we have to shout out our love for each other:-)

I attached my main image onto Fun Foam and then to SU Very Vanilla card base.  I am so pleased with our card and sure Denny will love it too:-)  Enjoy........Hugs!

Supplies:
Stamps: Penny Black "Happy Snippets"
Paper: SU Very Vanilla.  Arches Mixed Media.
Inks: Archival Jet Black.  Brushos: Emerald Green, Lemon, Orange and Scarlet
Accessories: TCW Sunflower Stencil, painters tape, SU spritzer, MB Stitched Rectangle Die, MISTI, Fun Foam

  8. Great technique, I love how colors mix under the template. But your first card with this template made AI is unmatched mastery! It's the real Mount Everest among the cards, Nancy.

    1. Do try again Nancy. Stencils with larger images I think work best, I think. It is so easy. I like Brushos the best and just laying your watercolor paper over the spritzed stencil before you remove the stencil and pressing gently on your paper then remove and let air dry. Let me know if you try again:-) Hugs
