CASE'ing Cornelia :-)

When I saw my friend Cornelia's beautiful Spotlight card on STAMPlorations
I was so inspired I made my version of her beauty!

Cornelia's "Trendy Spring Blooms" card.

Here is my version using the matching Die set.

And...a Close Up of the Magicals mica powder shimmer.  Sorry,  hard to see, but very pretty IRL!

I die cut Die-Namics Square Peek-a-Boo Window out of Woodgrain CS and then die cut again out of a piece of my Magicals Mica Powder Cling Wrap Background that was in my stash, which has really grown this month.  Here is my CAS Mix Up January Cling Wrap Challenge card with the description of my technique.

Next I used CUTplorations "Trendy Spring Blooms Dies" to die cut my flowers and leaves from different Magicals Cling Wrap backgrounds from my stash.
Using scraps of Woodgrain CS I die cut the large flowers and small flower again using attaching the layers with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen.   The white layers were a really nice contrast.

I have a cool new Tip for the large flowers.  I saw this somewhere on blogland?
I placed the sticky side of Glad Press'n Seal on the back
of the cling wrap backgrounds and then die cut.
All the little pieces stayed in place, which made them easy to work with, without little pieces
falling out everywhere...lol!

Then placed my card front in MISTI to stamp the PB "Heartfelt Thanks" sentiment.
Good Thing!!!  It took 4 times to completely ink the sentiment
because of the textured CS.

Then attached the leaves with fine tip glue pen and the flowers with dimensionals.
Attached card front to SU Thick Whisper White CS and Done!

Thank you again Cornelia for your Inspiration  :-)

Hugs...

CAS Mix Up January Cling Wrap Reminder!

Time for our January CAS Mix Up Reminder cards!

Stunning cards by our DT and Guest Designer, Christine (It's a card days night)!
Be sure and check them out for more Inspiration!

Here is my card.
Using Stamping + Cling Wrap Brushos on Glossy Paper + Die Cuts.

I had the perfect Cling Wrap background using Brushos on Glossy paper in my stash:-)

I had sprinkled several colors of Brushos (scarlet, purple and leaf green) onto Glossy paper from my friend Christine, our GD this month.  Then spritzed liberally with water.

Placed a piece of Saran Wrap larger than the photo paper
and scrunched it up to make lots of wrinkles.
Then set aside for several hours to dry.

I loved the more pastel textured looking shades, perfect for a baby card.

Next I die cut the larger layer of SU Thick Whisper White CS
with CUTplorations Crazy Double RunningStitch Rectangle die.

Then die cut the Square Peek-A-Boo window.
Another gift from Christine.  Thank you again my friend!

I die cut my cling wrap technique piece with the square die then stamped
the sentiment and birdie using archival black ink.
Next inlaid the square piece into the center of die cut square frame.

Then stamped the bottom sentiment and added the cute melon mambo birdie that I had stamped
and fussy cut.  Next I attached the pink birdie to the stamped black birdie.
The sentiments and birdie were from a retired SU set..Nursery Necessaties.

I attached the image layer to fun foam and attached to the SU Thick Whisper White card base.
I was very pleased with the results!

Congratulations Shery and David on your sweet baby "Winter Rainbow"!
Big sister, Kathryn must be thrilled too:-)

STAMPlorations 3rd Annual Giving Thanks Blog Hop & wishlist linky party!

Here is the Blog Hop Link with all the details to play along
and the many amazing prizes!

Here is my Thankful for you card using a new favorite Shirley Bee's "Layered Leaves" stamp set!
I do not have any of the fabulous new STAMPlorations stamps...yet!

Using 3 dies made my CAS design so fun and easy.

I used CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies" for the frame.  Added Die-namics Rectangle Peek-A-Boo Window Die.
CUTplorations "Stitched Thankful" Die for my 3rd die cute image.

I used Loll Thompson's Splash Watercolour Background technique to make a background for the stamped and fussy cut "Layered Leaves" by Shirley Bee, die cut Peek-A-Boo Window and die cut Thankful.

I used Distress Oxide inks: Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple for my background.  Using one color at a time onto craft mat and spritzing with water then splashed with Strathmore Mixed Media paper, drying between layers.  I love the pretty watercolor effect.

Next I attached the small frame using Tomboy liquid glue and popped up the fussy cut leaves with dimensionals.  Then attached the Thankful and next stamped the SSS  "Lots of Thanks"  sentiment.

Such a fun and easy Thankful CAS card.

Be sure and check out Shery's amazing Blog Hop and wishlist linky party.

And the Thanksgiving Sale information!

There are gorgeous samples by 36 blog hop stampers using all the new stamp sets and typografia stamps.  You will be impressed.

Hugs and Happy Holiday Stamping my friends.
