CAS Mix Up (MM) Reminder Botanical Prints

Time for our CAS Mix Up (MM) Reminder Botanical Prints CAS cards by our talented DT girls!
Bonnie is our host and she has chosen an awesome challenge: Botanical Prints😀
The DT girls CAS cards and our followers gallery are filled with Stunning and Inspiring cards!

Bonnie's Message
This month I'd like to find leaves, flowers, ferns, etc. from the yard and bring them into the craft room to use on a card.  You can put them between 2 pieces of watercolor paper and run them through the Big Shot, or use them on a gel plate, or even paint a leaf and press it onto cardstock.
I can't wait to see what you do with what grows in your space!

Video Tutorials:

I was inspired by Gina K's Stamping Real Leaves with Distress Oxide Video.

Thank you Bonnie for hosting such a fun and creative Botanical Prints CAS Mix Up Challenge!
It is a wonderful technique using leaves that are all over the ground during our
Autumn Season:-)

I pressed a flowering Cherry Tree leaf directly onto Distress Oxide ink pads: Carved Pumpkin, Fired Brick and Aged Mahogany. Spritzed with water then placed leaf onto
Strathmore Mixed Media paper and placed acrylic block over leaf and pressed down
with my hand.  I did this twice to get prints of 2 leaves.

Let dry and die cut with Spellbinders Square Hemstitch 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"  for the card front.
Then used the smaller square Hemstitch Die for the hemstitch holes.

Found this STAMPlorations Skinny Sentiment Dies Hello in my stash using Bisters
Mahogany and Brushos Dark Brown.  Matched the leaves perfectly:-)

Attached card front to SU Pumpkin Pie for a wonderful organic
Autumn Hello😀

You still have until the 24th to play along with us at CAS Mix Up (MM)
Botanical Prints.  Happy leaf hunting, dear friends.
Love and Hugs,

CAS Christmas Card October Challenge

hosted by the very talented Marcia!

I have been so inspired by the DT and their Guest Designer, the very
Fun and Creative Darnell aka Dolly!

I used my new to me Penny Black "Snowy" snowman stamp!

I am thrilled how my adorable Snowy turned out with his paper pieced
hat and scarf using a scrap piece of old SU Red Gingham Designer Paper.
Here are a couple more cards I made with the same scrap paper:-)

I stamped Snowy onto SU Basic White 100# CS using Versafine Black ink and
heat EB with SU Clear EB powder.
Next stamped and heat embossed Snowy onto the Red Gingham DP.
Then fussy cut the Gingham Snowy using my SU papersnips.

Then I die cut the SU Basic Gray CS using Spellbinders Rectangle Hemstitch dies.
Attached fussy cut Gingham Hat & Scarf (all one piece) to Snowy.
Used Grey Zig marker to add grey tones to Snowy and to ground Snowy.

Then popped up Snowy using craft foam.
Added STAMPlorations "Merry Everything" Clear Stickers sentiment and Done!
I loved the results and hope you do too:-)

You have until the 24th to play along with the CAS Christmas Card Challenge!

STAMPlorations October Christmas in the Air Kit #2 Projects

Deepti and I are sharing more STAMPlorations Christmas in the Air Kit #2 Projects.
Christmas is only 3 months away...oh my!
The CITA Kits are a fun creative way to make Quick projects or more detailed
enhanced projects using the kit products:-)

My 1st project using Deepti's Greetings of the Season stamp set
from the CITA Kit #2

I Love Deepti's beautiful ornament image in her Greetings of the Season stamp set.
I stamped the image with Versamagic and heat embossed with
Ranger Princess Gold Embossing Powder.

Next the joy of watercoloring the image with Gansai Tambi Gem colors,
which have a beautiful shine that you can see in the photo:-)

Then I stamped and fussy cut the ornament image for a mask.
Covered the ornament and splattered the background with the Gem watercolors.
Next die cut the image using CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch
Rectangle Nesting Dies.  Used MISTI to stamp the sentiment from the set.

I also Love ALL the wonderful Christmas sentiments in the set
and the font!  I die cut the SU foil cardstock with the largest Nesting Die.
Attached the layers to 100# white cardstock and Done!

I was so pleased with the results and hope you like my card too😀

My next two cards  are Quick Clean and Simple Designs!
Using Noel Ephemera Tiles from the CITA  Kit #2

I chose an Alcohol Ink on clear acrylic background from my stash and die cut with
Framed with SU Basic Black cardstock.

Popped up the Ehemera Noel Tiles Happy New Year sentiment with craft foam.
Attached to background,  which I attached to 100# cardstock and Done!

My 2nd QCAS Christmas card using Noel Tiles:-)

I chose an Alcohol Pearls inks on Yupo paper from my stash for the pretty background,
which matched the Holly Jolly Ephemera Noel Tile perfectly😀
Framed the background with Black cardstock,  popped up sentiment and attached
to SU Basic White 100# cardstock and Done!
Loved how both QCAS cards turned out.
There are 6 different Noel Ephemera sentiment designs with a total of
18 tiles per package.   So many possibilities for many more projects😃

Be sure and check out Deepti's beautiful projects also.
Happy Christmas in the Air creating,  my friends...

CAS Mix Up MM Botanical Prints

Time for our CAS Mix Up (MM) October Botanical Prints Challenge
hosted by our awesome DT girl,  Bonnie😃 We also have creative cards by our
very creative Guest Designer Izzy ........to inspire you.

Bonnie's Message

Video Tutorials:

My card using my version of Gina K. Designs Stamping Real Leaves Video!

The differences between my technique and Gina K's Stamping Real Leaves
with Distress Ink's was that I did not use a dried maple leaf and I then added Bister's Mahogany, Red and Yellow powder to my glass mat and spritzed with water.  Gina used Distress inks directly onto her leaf.  I then placed leaf over the inks and smooshed the ink onto the leaf until well covered.

Next I placed maple leaf onto Strathmore MM paper and placed a large acrylic block over leaf
and pressed down with my hand.  Removed leaf and smooshed and and reapplied more ink onto
leaf and placed carefully over 1st layer of ink and pressed down with acrylic block.

You can see some of the veins and stem.  The maple leaf image was not distinct so when leaf
was dry I placed it over the dried ink and traced around the leaf with an 03 Art Pen.
I did the same thing with the seed pod.

Next used one of my favorite techniques...fussy cutting both images with my SU papersnips:-)
Then popped up the maple leaf with craft foam and placed leaf and seed pod
onto SU die cut Basic White 100# Retired Framelits Square Collection.

Added image to SU 5" square Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
Then stamped sentiment with Smile all Season sentiment using Archival Jet Black ink
and Done!  Loved the result:-)

Hope you can play along.  You have until the 24th to add your Botanical Print:-)
Love and Hugs...Stay Safe dear friends...

We would love to have you share your projects in our linky.

I chose a favorite ARTplorations Sanna Lippert Designs Barley Stencil
for a mixed media October Autumn Stenciled Style Card!

I do Love the Fall Season and Fall colors😊
I used a Tone on Tone Blending Technique to add Distress Oxide inks to
Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
I used these DOX inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Vintage Photo
and Bundled Sage.  Applying the ink with makeup brushes and continuing to blend the colors
until I was happy with the background.

Next I spritzed the card front with water using Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer and
blotted dry with paper towel.  Loved the added subtle texture.

Then placed the stencil over the card front and secured with 3M Masking Tape.
Dabbed the stencil with Clear Versamark and Heat Embossed with Distress Embossing Glaze.
Using: Fossilized Amber, Antique Linen, Crackling Campfire, Weathered Wood and Rusty Hinge.
I let the glaze powders mix with each other and then heat embossed.
I saved the leftover mixed powders in a tiny jar and named Fall colors:-)
The colors and shine are beautiful.

Then die cut the card front with

I made a small background with the same Distress Inks , spritzed with water, trimmed
and added the Happy Happy-Clear Stickers sentiment and popped up with craft foam.
Next attached card front to SU Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and Done!!!

Enjoy and Happy Autumn Season and Colors, my friends.
