STAMPlorations November Reminder

STAMPlorations November Stencil Reminder Challenge.

You still have until the end of the month to play along!

Be Sure and check out the awesome projects by the Design Team!

STAMPlorations Holiday Mocha Feels sentiment

A fun project using Distress Oxide inks on Mixed Media paper for the background,
along with a die cut frame in my stash.
I attached the Tropical Leaves Stencil with masking tape to the background.

Next used make up brushes to blend the inks.  then removed stencil and
traced the leaves with a Staedler black pen to make the leaves pop.

Popped up image with craft foam and attached to 100# white cardbase.
Set card aside and used makeup brush to blend  Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover and
Evergreen Bough Distress Inks over the new material Craftplorations Tropical Leaf.
Stamped "Holiday Mocha Feels" sentiment with Archival Black Ink.
Attached leaf to card image with Connect Glue and Done!

Loved how well the Tropical Leaf, which was cut from the new material blended the Distress Oxide inks.

You Still have until the end of the month to play along. Love and Hugs.

  1. I love the blended colors of your tropical leaves, Nancy! Outlining them in black really does make them POP and the added dimension from the thicker board leaf with the sediment in the middle is just fabulous! Enjoy your Sunday! Hugs, Dolly

  2. Wow, you have a steady hand to trace like that AFTER you removed the stencil! Love how these parts all work together. Cute with the sentiment on the leaf. Our power went out for several hours on Friday, and then again several hours last night. We have the self-contained motorhome when we need it -- so nice. Hope all is well out there!

  3. Love the colours on this one and that wonderful outlining of the stencil leaf shapes. I also like how you have continued over that lovely frame. My desire for neatness would never let me do that, but it works so well I might have to give it a go xx

    1. I stamped and colored the stenciled background and then die cut the frame. That makes it easier and less messy to have parts of your image over the edge:-) Thank you for your sweet comment, my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy

  4. What a beautiful card, Nancy! I love the tropical leaves and the larger one, popped up, is gorgeous! I love your color choices!

  5. great colours Nancy, your outlining of the stencil is perfect. I always make a mess when I do that. I love these little chip board elements :)

  6. What a happy card Nancy....The blending looks fabulous and the black edging of the leaves sure does make them pop x. Great how the inks covered the dimensional leaf so well x.

  7. such a fun card, love the tropical feel it has, we need that right now as winter starts to set in.
    xx Karen

  8. Fantastic card Nancy! LOVE your leafy background with the large leaf on top. So you!! xx

  9. You know I love this... Those are all my favourite colours! It's gorgeous Nancy!

  10. I do love a leaf Nancy and this is fabulous! I love that gorgeous frame - where is that from? - and I like how you've stencilled over the edge of the frame. The outline trick works brilliantly too. Thank you for your list you left on my blog of things to be cheerful about. You're so right! There are happy things all around us if we choose to see them :) Hugs, Vicky x

  11. This is outstanding. The blend of colors is gorgeous and the outlining is so clean and crisp. I love that frame on the panel.

  12. Great layers and nice use of the frame.

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving your much appreciated comments! Hugs....Nancy
