Wishing all my USA crafting friends a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.
My sincere wish is that 2021 is a year of Love and Healing World-Wide!
There is much to be Thankful for, but it will take working together.
Happy Thanksgiving, my dear friends...
I used ARTplorations Slimline "Leaf Prints 4 Stencil" for my Happy Thanksgiving card for a special friend, which I am sharing today with many more special friends:-)
I used my new I-Crafter I-brush Ink Applicators blender brushes that I ordered from Simon Says Stamp to blend all the Distress Oxide Inks. The blender brushes are like finger daubers, but with a fine brush. They work like the makeup brushes we are all using and great for control in small areas. There are 10 daubers. Spendy, but should last a life time and are color coded and stackable.
After blending all the colors I used some of the colors on a piece of mixed media paper and die cut CUTplorations stitched Thankful from the "Be Thankful" die set and again in black cs. Then stamped and cut out the sentiments from the matching stamp set. Adding all sentiments with dimensionals and Done!

How about another Thanksgiving Card? This card is for Denny!
We are thankful our husband's support our hobbies and we support theirs!
I found this beautiful old designer paper in my stash. I grounded the trees using the back of the paper. I die cut the PB "Windy" Die leaves (gifted by a friend) from an alcohol ink background from my stash. I loved the Fall colors. Next die cut the tree trunks from SU Chocolate Chip CS. Attached with Connect Glue and set aside.
Next die cut the designer paper with Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangles die and attached to Chocolate Chip CS. Added the trees and strip of designer paper to ground the trees. Stamped the STAMPlorations "Bloomfully-Thankful" Sentiment and attached to card base and Done!
I am so Thankful for the friendship of all my blogger friends world wide and wishing you all a special and safe Thanksgiving and Holiday Season. Love and Hugs...
I am sharing my 1st card with STAMPlorations Anything Goes Challenge.
Sharing both cards with NBUS #20 Challenge.
1st card using Never Before Used I Brush Ink Applicator's (Love them).
2nd card using NBUS Designer paper and Die Cut Trees.
Two beautiful cards Nancy! LOVE the bright colours of your leaves on the first card. What an amazing colour combo! And beautiful muted tones for your card for Denny! I might have to break down and buy those finger daubers! :) xx
ReplyDeleteHappy thanksgiving to you and Denny! Hope your holiday was a good one today.
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful Thanksgiving cards, Nancy. Your first card is bright and colourful and so cool for an autumn themed card. Who says autumn cards should be dull and muted, right? Those I-Crafters finger brush d’Aubert are on my wish list. I may have to splurge, too, and get them.
I, too, am in love with those finger brushes. Every time I think there can't be any new products I want, another one comes along! These cards are just stunning. Your blending is so gorgeous and the AI is such a blend of beautiful colors. I truly hope your wish for the new year comes true for everyone.
ReplyDeleteYour trees are are beautiful, Nancy! Love the Fall colors and they go well with the Color Hues challenge. Your stenciled leaves are brilliant as well! Love the blend of colors! Two awesome Thanksgiving cards! I hope you had a special day and your Thanksgiving wishes come true!
ReplyDeleteThank you Bonnie...I added my card to the Color Hue #6, Pink and Brown Challenge. We did have a wonderful quiet and very yummy Thanksgiving dinner and late evening. Hope yours was special too. Love, Nancy
DeleteWowie, I just received your slimline card in the mail! OMWord, it's the most beautiful thing! The colors, the leaf stencil, that fabulous stitched "thankful" are all such eye candy. I can't say enough about the colors. I can see a difference in how the ink applied with your new daubers. Very smooth and rich and kind of velvety. A+++. Might have to order some. Your second card... I had that very same paper and think I actually used it all up, if you can imagine that. Once again I can see how velvety the ink looks on those leaves. Really nice! Thank you for the beautiful card, but most of all I thank you for your friendship.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited you got your card so soon..I mailed it n Tuesday. Not bad for a Holiday week. I am so pleased you loved your card as much as I did..I can even visit your card at your house if I want to see it again IRL:-) I was very pleased with how the new brush daubers worked. I did play with a practice piece 1st. You do need to start off the card to remove some of the ink...just like daubers. I have been working on getting cards, especially all my International cards ready to mail on Monday. Also small pkgs ready to send to the kids. I am trying to do less this year, so I can stay safe. We sure enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner last night with just the 2 of us. We ate at 6:30p.m. and went to bed at 2:00 a.m....relaxed and happy:-) I am sure you had a special evening too. Love and Hugs...Nancy

It sounds as if you and Denny have been having a lovely Thanksgiving, just as it should be. I am grateful for getting to know you better this year! You and I are definitely singing from the same hymn sheet wishing the world peace, love and healing for 2021. Your cards are beautiful with the wonderful ink blending on the first (am I the only crafter who still uses sponges?!!) and the gorgeous paper on the second. Sending hugs, Vicky x
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic cards Nancy! your first card is so bright and happy and we all need a little more happy these days. And your second card is lovely as well. I love the pink trees and the way you grounded them with the fun paper. I just love two sided card stock for that reason. Thanks for playing along with the girls and I at Color Hues!

ReplyDeleteI love the card for Denny! The DSP background is perfect for the warm tone of the tree colors, and the hemstitch frame adds just right amount of interest to the card.

I am sure it was wonderful having an extra day off with Matt:-) If you like daubers you will love these new brush daubers. A little bit of a learning curve, but not much. They are really well made and I love how they are color coded and stackable. TFS your sweet comment. Love and Hugs..Nancy
