I used Stamping + Alcohol Inks liquid colors on Yupo + my choice..Stencil Tracing and Die Cuts
I am sharing a wonderful Alcohol Inks on Yupo Paper Video by our very talented Loll (Stamping with Loll). I made my background piece using Ranger Alcohol Inks: Sunshine Yellow, Sunset Orange and Watermelon and spritzed with Blending Solution on a sheet of foil. Then smooshed my Yupo paper...just like Loll. I spritzed the remaining ink with more Ranger Blending Solution and smooshed another piece. I used the 2nd piece that turned out lighter for my background. I used my 1st background as die cuts for my CAS Mix Up January launch card.
I placed my New ARTplorations "Broken Glass" Stencil over my Alcohol Ink background and taped down with 3M masking tape. Then traced the stencil using Staedtler permanent marker and die cut using CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Medium Die". I also die cut my SU Whisper White thick cardstock card front using the largest die from the same set.
I stamped my SU ""Sunshine Sayings" sentiments on SU WW Thick cardstock using Archival Jet Black ink and framed with SU Basic Black CS adding SU rhinestones for a bit of bling.
I popped up the background for added dimension. An easy card for a January birthday card for a dear family friend, who will soon be celebrating her 90th birthday and is as sharp as ever :-)
My card is also for the current Time Out #73 Words Challenge

ReplyDeleteA sentiment that we can all live by. I like the outlined stencil. It reminds me of all the paths we can take in life, and whichever one(s) we choose, we should do so with passion. Of course, I do tend to over-think things...LOL.

And I think it's fantastic that you've chosen this modern design and the particular sentiment for your 90 year old friend. I hope someone will see me in the same light when I'm that age, and I fully expect to be sprightly and young at heart at age 90!
