Twofer April Leaves

Darnell's (aka Dolly) April Twofer Challenge is "Leaves".  #37.
No way I could miss out on this fun challenge😊

Sharing both cards using one of the Altenew "Leaf Clusters" stamps.
Can you find the same leaf stamp?

Many Thanks Card

I cut Fluid 100 Hot Press 140# 100% Cotton watercolor paper 4" x 4" and placed in MISTI.  Then inked the leaf stamp from Altenew "Leaf Clusters" set with Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio and sprayed with water lightly and stamped in the upper left corner.  Let dry and then inked the same leaves with DOX Peacock Feathers and sprayed lightly,  which gave me a pretty 2 toned leaves image.

Used another leaf from the set and stamped in MISTI using the same technique.
Next decided to die cut the center with SSS "Postage Stamp Edge Frames".
Then popped up with craft foam to add more interest and dimension.

Stamped Penny Black "Happy Snippets" sentiment with Archival Jet Black ink and attached to SU Whisper White 100# CS and Done!

Miss You Card

I used the same Fluid WC paper and same MISTI watercolor technique on an A2 size card front for my 2nd card.  I changed the Distress Oxide ink,  using Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness.  I stamped the Altenew "Leaf Cluster" leaves with the lighter colored Peeled Paint and lightly spritzed with water and let dry. Then stamped again with the darker Rustic Wilderness using the same technique and let dry.

Next stamped the Penny Black "Country Charisma" leaves on the lower left side of card front with Rustic Wilderness.  Then stamped the 2 sentiments from the "Leaf Clusters" set.  Then decided to die cut the card front with Penny Black "Antique Frame".  Attached to SU Whisper White 100# card base and Done!  I was very pleased with both of my easy CAS cards.

Enjoy and Thank you Dolly for another fun Twofer Challenge.
Love and Hugs...

  6. I know how you love leaves, Nancy. They're hard to resist, aren't they? You have two beauties here that make me want to run right outdoors and sit under a leafy branch! It's another beautiful day here. I like your technique for letting the underlayer of color show through. Making a note. Thanks for the inspiration!

  10. Two really beautiful cards, Nancy. I have long forgotten the technique of stamping part on the raised center. I would not even remember how to line that up. I love your colors as well.

  16. I do love a leaf stamp Nancy and I love what you did with these. They look so painted! I really like that you combined them with the black and white flower outline on one of your cards and the popped up stamp looks fabulous in the other. I have been working on the Twofer today but it's not going well! My keyboard isn't toast, but my mail app is for some reason! I'm finding all my ways of working have been disrupted and I have become a grumpy old lady!! Much better for coming to visit you though :) Vicky x

  18. Both leafy cards are fabulous, Nancy! Love the watercolor-look of the leaves, the two different shades of green for each card, and the different shape of the cards. The popped up postage square adds so much interest to the card without blocking the beautiful leaf image. Beautiful twofers, my dear friend!
