Already time for the STAMPlorations Stencil January Reminder Challenge!
We love your projects you have entered and you still have until the end of January to play along. The Stencil DT Girls have more inspiring projects too!
ARTplorations Overlap Stencil. and Dots All Over Stencil.
Clear Sticker Inspiration #1
CUTplorations Crazy Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.
Two more stencil backgrounds from my stash:-)
I chose the Overlap Stenciled image 1st. Die cut with the smallest Die from the Crazy Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.
Then the time consuming step: Finding just the right stencil background from my stash. I finally found the Dots All Over Stencil background, which I happened to make the same day I made my Overlap stencil background using the same Bisters Powdered Inks. Bisters are mostly neutral colors and I do love the results.
I used the monoprint technique for both backgrounds. I used Yupo paper for the Overlap Stencil layer and Strathmore Mixed Media for the Dots All Over Stencil.
I used Green, Yellow and Red Bisters on both layers. I popped up the top layer with craft foam and then added the Inspiration #1 Clear Sticker and sequins.
Attached layers to kraft cardstock.
I think this would be an inspiring guy card!
We would love to have you play along with us.
Stay Healthy and Creative, dear friends...Hugs..

ReplyDeleteI like your fresh and new blog header too x.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mac. Our dear creative friend, Loll found the perfect header for me after I told her what I wanted...she is amazing!! Thank you for the sweet comment too. Love and Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great guy card and you could make the quote work with a birthday sentiment inside, or retirement, or probably lots of things. I do absolutely love your new leafy blog header, too!
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the quote working for different occasions, Leslie. I am so pleased you loved my new header courtesy, Lolly:-) It brightens my day every time I go to my blog:-) Love and Hugs...Nancy
DeleteLove your artys effect with the stencils and bisters, and really love the colours :)
ReplyDeleteI think of you every time I use my Bisters...You always inspired me with your gorgeous mixed media Bisters projects, my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy
DeleteLove the splodgy looseness of your inking on this card Nancy. Sometimes it is so nice to be free and easy. I am often/always much too controlled. I think I need to take a leaf out of your book as this is gorgeous xx
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Hilary. I have been amazed how some of my favorite cards have been from unacceptable backgrounds in my stash:-) Love and Hugs..Nancy
DeleteLOVE this combination of stenciled images Nancy! The colours are fabulous and the design is artsy and fun. Great quote! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool card, Nancy! It's perfect for anyone, but with the colors it could definitely work as a guy card! Love the combination of stencils you used! Great sentiment!
ReplyDeleteAnother artsy beauty Nancy... I love these 'messy' cards that always look so unique!
