Be sure and check out all the awesome samples by our DT.
Thank you Hilary for an awesome Challenge. I finally feel comfortable using splatters:-) I used a Posca Black acrylic pen for my splatters!
Used Acrylic Splatters, Heat Embossing, Coloring and Die Cut.
I began by placing Strathmore Mixed Media Tan paper in MISTI then stamped part of the upper poinsettia from the Colorado Craft Company " Big and Bold Slimline Poinsettia" set. with VersaFine Black ink. Then heat embossed with SU Clear EB Powder.
Next die cut with Memory Box Circle Stitched Dies. Then colored the flower with a dark green Zig pen and SU Real Red Blender Pen. Used Kuretake metallic gold WC paint to color the center of flower. When dry added Wink of Stella over the entire image. So Shiny and pretty.
Next splattered the card base with Posca Acrylic Pen using my bone folder to tap the end of the pen to make the splatters. Worked great! Added a few larger dots with the pen.
Then placed in MISTI to stamp SU Happiest Birthday Wishes sentiment (ret) with Versafine black ink and heat emboss with clear EB powder.
Attached flower image to craft foam and attached to card base and Done!
Sharing Close Up Photo. So pretty with all the shine!
I was so pleased with how my card turned out.
We would love to have you join us at CAS Mix Up Splatters Challenge.
You still have until the 24th to play along:-)

Hee, Hee...Did you try using a bone folder? I did practice a bit on scrap paper. It is important on how you aim your pen too:-) TFS your comment, my friend. Hugs..Nancy

DeleteAwesome poinsettia card, Nancy! I love that you used part of the big stamp and die-cut it into a circle. The shine from the heat-embossing, the metallic gold paint, and the Wink of Stella coating is so pretty! The bright bold colors against Kraft gives the flower a sense of presence. The black fine spatters finish the card perfectly!
