Time for our CAS Stencil Reminder cards sharing more DT Gorgeous Shine!
Hosted by Cathy and our awesome Guest Designer, Mac (thesweetestofpeas).
The flakes may fly, but the results are Gorgeous Shine!!
Here is my Shiny Gilding Flakes card!
For my Reminder card I placed the STAMPlortions "Christmas Tree 1" designed by Sanna
over a SU Whisper White 100# CS card front. Next used icraft deco/foil adhesive pen
to add adhesive thru the stencil. Worked Great!
Removed stencil and added a narrow strip of double sided tape along one edge.
Then very carefully opened the jar of Nuvo Radiant Gold Gilding Flakes.
Placed card front on copy paper to catch the stray flakes.
Covered the adhesive strip and sticky stenciled trees with flakes.
Used my finger to adhere flakes to adhesive and used 3 sizes of flat soft paint brushes
to carefully brush off the excess flakes.
Then die cut to give the images a nice frame using Penny Black "Leaf Stitches Frame Dies"
I popped up the main image with White Craft Foam and Done!
I Love the shine and so pleased to have another Christmas card for my stash:-)

ReplyDelete2 words Nancy my friend - love this! x
ReplyDeleteGreat background with your gilded trees Nancy, and love the red sentiment it really pops against them :)
ReplyDeleteLove these elegant little trees, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThe trees are so pretty. I love the shine and the strip down the side. The frame is lovely, too. Adding the sentiment in red looks great for a Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what you do with that stencil, Nancy! How innovative! Love that you only embossed three sides of the frame and finished it with a gilded strip. I've yet to learn to emboss with a die. This is such a pretty card!
ReplyDeleteActually..Nancy I die cut the frame after I had already added the gilded strip. IRL you can see the die cut leaves on the gilded strip:-) I have not mastered the dry embossing with a die either:-) Stay Safe and creative, my friend..Hugs..Nancy L
DeleteNancy, that is beautiful!! I can only imagine the wonderful shine in real life. Love the little strip down the left side - it adds so much extra interest. And it's all perfect with the simple red sentiment. A card I will be CASEing at some point!
ReplyDeleteWonderful gilding of your sweet little trees Nancy! The red sentiment really pops of the white and gold! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty Christmas card Nancy, love the pop of red and you've used a couple of different methods for applying the flakes, they look amazing, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteThe gilding flakes are pretty amazing and I know so much more so IRL! Yay you for getting another Christmas card done, too. Beautiful, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. I love the delicate look of the gilding flakes on your tree stencil, Nancy. So pretty against the white card stock. The glitter edge adds just the perfect finishing touch! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card Nancy, with a stunning effect with the flakes. The colours of the flakes against the crisp white and the pop of red is stunning! Loving this one...stay well and my jammed finger is nearly there now x.
ReplyDeleteOooh! That's so pretty and so elegant... Beautifully done Nancy... Stay well my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this card, Nancy! It's so pretty, especially the little gilded Christmas trees! The shine from the gold gilding flakes is gorgeous. The AI red sentiment strip pops and the gilded narrow strip balances well with the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
