The February CAS Watercolour Challenge: Red and Black is hosted by the
very talented, Marcia (Marcia's Stampin' Pad). There are so many gorgeous cards
by the amazing Design Team, Guest Designer.
Here is my card using the brand new STAMPlorations "Layered Vases" stamp set
designed by the artsy talented Shirley, Bees Knees!
I kept my design CAS and loved using the Red and Black color combo.
The card format is 6" x 4 3/4" so I could add a black frame.
I die cut the card front 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" using CUTplorations Basic
A2 Panels Nesting Dies.
I used my MISTI to stamp the vase and flowers image with Black Versafine ink
and heat embossed with clear EB powder.
Then placed the card front in my MISTI for all the watercolor stamping, using Distress
Oxide inks: Candied Apple and Black Soot spritzed with water and stamped.
Kept the card front in MISTI and stamped the sentiment using DOX Candied Apple and heat embossed with clear EB powder.
Using my MISTI for all the steps made for a Quick Clean and Simple card:-)
I am looking forward to trying my luck using a more artsy design with this
new awesome stamp set in the near future!
Thank you Marcia for a fun and easy CAS Watercolour Challenge.
You have until the 24th to play along. Hugs..

The artsy, pen-sketch image and the shade of black & red inks make the card look fun and playful even though the red and black color combo usually gives a strong, sharp feeling. This is the greatest stamp! I found myself holding my breath when I saw it and read the description. I didn't know I liked artsy but this one really hooked me, it is beautiful and your technique to color it is perfect.
ReplyDeleteNice stamp! Your simple treatment is perfect for a stamp image that is beautiful on it's own. I like the black CS trim, too.
