CAS Christmas Challenge: Joy

The February CAS Christmas Challenge is filled with "Joy"!
The Challenge is hosted by the very talented Linda with sweet and joyful Christmas
cards by the Guest Designer, Claire (String Bows) and Design Team.
You will be inspired like I was to add to your 2020 Christmas Stash:-)

I took the liberty to add a CUTplorations "Joyful" sentiment from the
"Christmas Sentiments Dies" set!  Hope that it was ok that I did not use a Joy sentiment.
I die-cut the Joyful once from an Alcohol Ink red background from my stash
and 3 more times from
SU Whisper White 100# CS. Then stacked layers using Connect Glue and set aside.

Next die-cut a 4 1/4" square card front using Memory Box
"Large Circle Burst Die".  Attached Alcohol Pearls Ink background to die cut card front.

The beautiful shimmery alcohol pearls ink background was from my stash.
I used Sublime and Tranquil Alcohol Pearls inks for the blue and green tones.
I am hooked on the new Alcohol Pearls inks.  I now have 3 sets:-)

I attached Joyful and card front to card base using Connect Glue and Done!
I loved how my QCAS Christmas card turned out.
I think I will be designing more with Alcohol Pearls Inks and die cut sentiments:-)

Thank you Lin for hosting your fun Christmas Challenge!
You have until the 24th to play along.  Hugs..

  1. Nancy, I love your Retro Christmas card. The colours and circles remind me of the psychedelic 60s. awesome card :)

    1. Hee, hee...you are right, Christine..a bit retro:-) Hugs..Nancy

  2. That green is so vibrant, Nancy, and it looks so incredible behind that fun circle burst die cut! I love the bright red JOYFUL sediment! You can't have joyful without JOY, can you?!! Hugs, Dolly

  3. A beautiful pearl background, Nancy! Love these colors for a Christmas card and how they show through the die cut!

  4. The alcohol ink pearl looks amazing behind the pretty die cut Nancy. A real Wow of a card x.

  5. Wonderful AI pearl background - great shades of green that are perfect to set the vibrant red sentiment against. Thanks for making a card for CAS Christmas!

  6. Wow Nancy! I have this die and am so enjoying the creative way you use it. Never thought to use it for Christmas. The last time I did use it I inlaid it- kind of fussy. Your brilliant background is gorgeous on this!

  7. This is so beautiful Nancy! LOVE your alcohol pearl inks background with the vibrant blue and green. So perfect under that fabulous die. And the joyful in red really stands out. Great work, my friend! xx

  8. LOVE that die... die for the alcohol panel, and OH my what a JOY filled card, Nancy! So very pretty!
I have three AI pearls that haven't had the cap off of them... come show me the way? xx

    1. Be sure to shake before using to mixup the glitter. Do not burnish with paper towel after using the ink on Yupo paper...it wipes off the glitter...ask how I know:-) I LOVE how they flow:-) Hugs..and thanks for your sweet comment.

  9. Joyful is right! LOVE the pretty BG and as always so beautifully put together!

  10. There’s that gorgeous Circle Burst die. You’ve showcased it beautifully by adding the pearl AI background. Love the blue/green colours with the pop of red

  11. Oh, Nancy, I love EVERYTHING about this card. The starburst type die is so fun and pairs well with your font. And that green background - delish!

  12. This is such a "Joyful" holiday card, Nancy! The AI colors and the pearly shimmer are festive and the design of the die (circle burst) adds a happy feeling to the card too. I love how the inks flowed on Yupo. It's so beautiful!
    Hideko xx

  13. Fabulous joyful card, Nancy. Your background colors are so bright and cheery! Thank you for sharing at CAS Christmas!

  14. How fun and festive this looks! Such a pretty pearly background, too. I can see at first glance the pearly look. Loving the die!

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving your much appreciated comments! Hugs....Nancy
