Gorgeous Ombre CAS Cards by the DT, GD and in the Gallery!
I made my card using the makeup brushes gifted to me by my dear friend
Trina at our recent 2019 Crafting Retreat!
They are perfect for the Ombre Technique hosted by the very talented, Bonnie!
My Distress Oxide Inks CAS Card!
My card was an early birthday card for my dear sweet friend, Bonnie:-)
I sponged the Distress Oxide Inks using the sponging brushes onto Strathmore
She received her card yesterday.
I sponged the Distress Oxide Inks using the sponging brushes onto Strathmore
Mixed Media paper. Sponging light to dark colors: Hickory Smoke, Iced Spruce
and Faded Jeans. Then spritzed using T.H. spritzer.
Die cut Ombre background with Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Die.
Then arranged Alexandra Renke "Grasses" that I die cut using SU 100# CS.
This beautiful die set was gifted to me by my dear friend, Hideko:-)
Attached Grasses with Connect Glue a wonderful gift from sweet Loll.
I am thinking I should have made this card into a "Friend" card, but it is
going to a special birthday girl Friend:-)
I stamped and heat embossed the SSS Everyday Sentiments in MISTI.
Next die cut the card front with same stitched rectangle die and
Inlaid my main image and attached card front to card base and Done!!
Loved the results. Thank you to all my dear friends for your thoughtful Gifts:-)

Thank you Hideko. The color combo was a combo that Trina had used on a card at our Retreat. She used DOX Pumice Stone, but I did not have so used Hickory Smoke. I do have all 3 colors in DI, which I might try in the future. Hugs...Nancy
DeleteHmmm... not sure I have these colors, but I sure love the combo! I should write it down. It makes a beautiful night sky. Great dies, too. I sure have enjoyed my brushes. You did a beautiful job with them here!
