Can you tell...I LOVE Alcohol Ink Techniques?
Here is another card for our CAS Mix Up August Alcohol Inks Challenge.
Using Stamping, Alcohol Inks Dropped on Yupo and Inlaid Die Cut!
Background Sample of Ranger Alcohol Inks dropped on Yupo for my Die Cut Background.
I used Loll's (Stamping with Loll) Alcohol Inks with Yupo 5:48 You Tube video for a wonderful example of dropping Alcohol Inks directly onto Yupo. A few drops I blew lightly with a straw also. There is a smooshing of Alcohol Inks technique on the video also.
More from Loll...I borrowed her Simon Says Stamps "Stacked Hearts" Die Cut when we had our Retreat in May. I inlaid the hearts negative and popped out all the hearts (boy, do I now have a nice stash of hearts). Next tapped my Alcohol Ink background from my stash to show thru the open hearts. I results were so beautiful.
Thank you Loll for being so generous with your supplies and especially your talents:-)
I framed my stamped SU sentiment with a piece of the background and popped up on card front. I attached my card front to my card base using fun foam.
Enjoy and hope you get to play along with our wonderful DT and GD, Trina (My Crafting Closet). You have until the 24th to join in the fun. Happy Stamping. Hugs..

ReplyDeleteYour AI background is stunning even without the front panel, Nancy! I love the beautiful mixture of the inks and the encouraging sentiment. I'm sure that the daughter of your friend will really appreciate this card made with love. Hugs. Hideko
ReplyDeleteThe bright AI panel really shows through the heart apertures, Nancy. Love how you've used a straw on some of the alcohol ink drops to help them spread out. Love your card, my friend. I know it will be so appreciated by our friend. xx

DeleteLove, love, love this, Nancy! Your beautiful colors show through the hearts beautifully! I believe you've added something else to my list, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this, Nancy! What a cool way to use that wonderful, bright background! I have such a mental block with bold colors and it's fun to see yours! That dies is so perfect for this!
ReplyDeleteWonderful vibrant blend of colours peeking out through those sweet hearts - such a beautiful card for your friend's daughter.
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful, full of light and hope with the perfect sentiment. Truly loved 😘
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet friend. Hugs...
DeleteWhat a gorgeous card Nancy... I love that shine you get with the alcohol inks!
ReplyDeleteYou asked about my card ... I'm sorry I don't know what DOX is? All I can tell you is that I just use ordinary CS and thus not too much water or it will pill. It means that sometimes I can go over places again as it dries quickly.. I just use Gansai Tambi watercolours.
Sorry about abbreviation. I thought it looked like you used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks. Your Gansai Tambi watercolours turned out beautifully. TFS Hugs...
DeleteHa! Yes, I can tell you love alcohol inks! But what a magnificent obsession. I have way too much catching up to do before I start another obsession. I'm weakening, though. Gee, thanks, Nancy. I just love how your background looks peeking through the hearts. A very nice card for your friend. I hope her daughter is fully recovered soon. I have yet to use any of my AI backgrounds. Would you believe I haven't stamped a thing since our visit? Two days in the garden and one day for everything else. Today is Doggie Day. A little visiting first and then I'm off and running again!
ReplyDeleteWe sure do have fun on our play dates. Maybe this Winter would be a good time for another obsession my friend :-) Hugs...
DeleteBeautiful card, Nancy! I love how you get different colours peeping through the hearts
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Nancy! It's so elegant and your inky background looks wonderful peeping through the hearts.
