Playing again in the CAS Watercolour Butterfly Challenge.
What do you think? Kind of an artsy look for my butterflies and background?
I took a piece of Mixed Media paper and lightly sprinkled on the blue Bister and spritzed with water. Let dry and then did the same with the black Bister. I really liked the background.
I then die cut my stitched circle and punched out the butterflies with my Bister background and again with SU Basic Grey CS.
Next I shaped the butterflies using my bone folder and attached the butterfly layers using my SU fine tip glue pen. I added drops of Nuvo white blizzard drops to the butterflies and set aside to dry.
Then I die cut my card front and added a fussy cut layer. I attached the circle layers using fun foam and added to card front.
I attached my 3 butterflies and added the stamped and fussy cut sentiment to the circle background. I am not sure it is a favorite card, but I do like it. I will definitely be using the Bister's again. Thank you Christine for sharing. It will last me a long time. A tiny bit goes a long way :-)
Be sure and check out all the awesome CAS Watercolour Butterfly cards from the DT and our GD. You have until July 24th to join the fun. Enjoy your Summer & Butterflies! Hugs..

Yes I like Bister's too ...more earthy colours than brusho's, which I love too...there's a place for them all! Love the colours of the powders with the grey, such a pretty layout and such a pretty card x
ReplyDeleteLove these artsy butterflies, Nancy! The circles are perfect for their launching pad! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThe circle background is so beautiful, Nancy! I've never used Bister Powders, but I love the colors!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Nancy! Love the marbled effect of the Bisters :o)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely artsy and super design Nancy!
ReplyDeleteI've seen pale blue and black butterflies in real life, though not as mottled as yours - I love them as I love the effect you get with Bister. A beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteI love your artsy butterflies and wouldn't mind seeing them in the garden! Beautiful design with them fluttering upward, and it's as though they've left some butterfly dust behind in the circle. Fantastic work with the Bister powders, Nancy!
