So many gorgeous CAS Watercolour Snowflake Reminder cards by the Design Team and our Guest Designer, Hannelie (Desert Diva). You will be inspired and hopefully will get a chance to play along. You have until January 24th to play!
A few days ago I had such a fun play day with my forever girlfriend Leslie (Running with Scissors). I got to see Leslie's amazing reorganized stamp room with a beautiful new larger window overlooking her beautiful gardens. One of her kids (golden retriever) Lulu, joined us for the tour, while Lulu's brother Wally stayed in the other room with Leslie's DH Rich. The girls in one room and the boys in another...sound familiar?
We had fun sharing a few die cuts. I used Leslie's die cut Impression Obsession "Fir Trees" and Memory Box "Frosty Border" on my card. Thank you again Leslie for sharing. They are now on my wishlist! They were cut from Ninna 120# CS.
I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush watercolour markers to color my white trees using a sweeping motion to give them more texture. I then die cut my snowbank using Dienamics Snowdrift Die adding SU Fine Tip Glue and Dazzling Diamonds to my snowdrift and the trees. I used the same glue to attach the pretty "Frosty Border" and then added Wink of Stella to the snowflakes. This is a really pretty sparkly card ;-)
The sentiment is from my brand new Penny Black "Heartfelt Thanks" sentiment set. I LOVE all 13 of the sentiments in the set :-) My card is for a dear friend who will soon be celebrating her Winter birthday.
Thank you for visiting and especially for your comments. Sure hope you get to play along with us this month. We love seeing all your gorgeous Clean and Simple creations. Hugs...

Such a pretty card Nancy ... your friend is going to love it. Great way to colour the trees. They look beautiful with your colouring and the sparkle for the snow. xx
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Love the way you used the snowflake border die along the snow bank - brilliant idea! And gorgeous sparkly trees too!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I imagine that it was beautiful even without the sparkle, but it certainly adds an extra touch. The snowflake flourish die is really nice, too.
ReplyDeleteNancy, those trees are fantastic! The technique you used to color them makes them appear to have icicles on them! Love that. Beautifully designed!
ReplyDeleteI love your painted trees, Nancy! Such a pretty, frosty scene!
ReplyDeletelove the texture on the trees, both the watercolour swipes and the sparkly snow. It's always great when friends share, the chance to try before we buy :)
ReplyDeleteYour trees are beautifully coloured. Love how you kept everything else in white, makes those trees center stage. Love it! Hugs
ReplyDeleteI agree...such a pretty card Nancy..love how you added the die cut snow at the bottom, great idea!

This looks fantastic, Nancy! So crisp and clean. Love how you colored the trees to give them a natural look. The snow border along the bottom is brilliant! LuLu and I hope we can play again soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you Leslie for letting die cut my trees and snowflake border at your house. I did love how my card turned out and glad you liked it too. Hope we can get together soon. Hugs....
DeleteGorgeous card, Nancy! I love how you added sparkle to the fir trees and your embossed snow border...the effects on both are so striking! Love your CAS design on this card, too...so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove the frosty border on this. It's swirly, and frivolous, and FUN! I also love all trees, but especially firs--I like the way the branches kind of droop, almost giving a feeling of being sheltered or hugged. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous winter scene - I absolutely love the texture that you created on the fir trees. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out! Jill
