CAS(E) this Sketch CTS182

I am Loving all the new SU 2016-18 In Colors and the"Swirly Bird Stamp Set" and coordinating "Swirly Scribbles Thinlits".   I have been using all these new products for my July SU Hostess Club party on the 26th.  I will be sharing after our party 2 cards we will be making.  I have been busy die cutting 8 of the 9 dies for a total of 16 kits :-)  My cutting plates are no longer new looking !

After I finished the kits I wanted to make a few more cards for sample ideas for my girls.  I die cut a baggy full of the different dies in different In Colors.  I discovered when making my kits that you want to SAVE all the punch out pieces to use as inlays...just like a puzzle..so fun!

I die cut a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card front out of W. White CS using my new CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle" Thin metal dies.  Next I stamped the splats with Melon Mambo for the background.  I attached all my "puzzle" pieces to the CS using my SU Fine Tip Glue Pen.  I used Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo pieces.  Stamped hello from SU "A Dozen Thoughts" retired.

I did add a 2nd layer of the white die for more dimension and because I thought the Peekaboo Peach in the middle was not bright enough I just added a Melon Mambo piece,  which I liked much better.

My card is for the CAS(E) this Sketch CTS182 Challenge.

I'm also joining in the fun at Snippets Playground week 239,  since I used Snippets of Die Cuts :-) Lots of fun always at Pixie's Crafty Workshop!

  9. Great color choices on this card. The splatter stamp was just the perfect addition to help anchor the design.

Isn't it great being able to mix pieces from different colors of the same diecut? I've been doing that for awhile with designs I cut on my Silhouette Portrait as a way to add some "pop".
