Time for our CAS Stencil Card Challenge Reminder Challenge
hosted by our very talented DT girl Robyn.
We have two special Guest Designers this month
Hilary (fiddling about) and Amy (Miss_Lomax_Art).
Here is my stenciled card using Distress Oxide Sprays!
I used an A2 size of Strathmore Mixed Media paper and taped down Artplorations
"Roses" stencil. I was not very successful at keeping my sprays from leaking under the stencil
in places, but planned on die cutting my image down for a CAS design.
I used Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Sprays
and when dry die cut with Memory Box Stitched Rectangles Die.
Placed stencil over image to outline with black Fine Tip Sharpie.
Before cutting stenciled roses I got a monoprint image for a future card:-)
It turned out beautifully!
Totally covered my image with Versamark and heat embossed with clear eb powder.
You can see the shine in the right light!
Framed image with die cut SU Calypso Coral Coredinations CS (ret).
Popped up main image with White Craft Foam.
Attached to SU Whisper White 100# CS and stamped and heat embossed
Penny Black "Smile all Season" sentiment and Done!
You still have until the 24th to play along with this fun CAS Stencil Challenge.
Thank you Robyn for hosting this month. Hugs...

DeletePretty mix of colours for your sprayed rose stencil, Nancy! The outlining really brings focus to the design of the stencil. Great work, my friend! xx
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with that technique, Nancy and that's not easy. Wet and stencil don't work well for me- I always have it leaking. I do love the stencil mono printing though. Can't wait to see what you do with that piece. I give you credit for outlining too. Love how it defines the stencil.
ReplyDeletebeautiful colors that blended together and I really like the double stitched layers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty rose and a great mix of colors, Nancy! I'll bet that clear embossing makes it look like stained glass!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are so pretty in pink, Nancy. The colours may have seeped underneath, but it gives it an organic artsy look. The outlining looks cool too. xx
