My Group of Seven Cardmakers Ink Blending cards without color lifting this time..
Click on the link above for all the Details!
I am adding my card to the Blog Linky:-)
All the DOX Ink Blending videos by Kristina Werner were VERY Helpful!
I used STAMPlorations "Christmas Candles Large" stamp!
I used Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Die to cut a 3" x 4"
Fluid 100 Hot Press 100% Cotton layer for ink blending.
Used TH's Blending Sponges with handles to blend the 3 DOX Inks:
Picked Raspberries, Candied Apple and Wilted Violet.
I used Kristina's technique of blending Lots of ink colors.
I let my ink blended layer dry overnight...This is key to getting your
layer completely Dry!!! If not dry your Embossing Powder will stick!!
Covered ink blended layer with Rabbit Hole Designs Anti- Static Powder and
stamped Candles using SSS White Premium Pigment Ink. Then
heat embossed image.
I did not lift the ink from the stamped lined candles images
on this card because I really liked the colored candles:-)
Placed main image in MISTI and stamped and heat embossed the SSS
"Jolly Snippets" sentiment with SSS White Premium Pigment Ink.
Next used an A2 Neenah Solar White Crest Smooth 110# cardstock
to dry emboss the Sizzix 3D Fallen Leaves background layer,
which I attached to A2 Neenah Solar White card base.
Popped up main image with Craft foam and attached to 3D layer
and Done! I was very pleased with the results:-)

I am sharing a 2nd Christmas card using the same Ink Blending Technique
without Ink Lifting as my 1st card.
I used the same Hot Press Papers and Neenah White Cardstock,
Ink Blended DOX Squeezed Lemonade, Lucky Clover and Mermaid Lagoon
and let piece sit overnight to Dry!
Then added Anti-static Powder, stamped STAMPlorations "Christmas Gift Large"
using white pigment ink and Heat Embossed.
Then used MISTI to stamp the STAMPlorations "Homespun Christmas"
sentiment using Memento London Fog Dye Ink.
Added blue and green rhinestones from my stash,
popped up image with craft foam and attached to card base
and Done!
I am so happy to have 2 more cards for my Christmas Stash:-)
Thank you for visiting...Love and Hugs,

Two gorgeous, perfectly ink blended cards, my friend. I love how you've achieved such a smooth transition of colours. And two more cards for your Christmas stash - way to go! xx
ReplyDeleteIt is because of the GO7 Cardmakers...that these 2 cards and my 1st Ink Blending card are the 1st time I have successfully created a smooth transition of colors when blending colors...your Blending 2 Techniques with the awesome videos by Kristina really got me inspired to try the technique again:-) Thank you so much, Lolly for creating your new Blog...such an amazing and creative resource, my dear friend...Love and Hugs...Nancy
DeleteNancy, you have used the most wonderful vibrant inks today! GORGEOUS cards, beautifully blended and embossed. Drying time is key to success I suppose as these really don't have a speck of unwanted stray embossing powders!
ReplyDelete=]
p.s. I adore the dry embossing on your first card!
Your color blending and the colors you used are beautiful. I think Kristina blends the most beautiful colors together and she has a great list of what goes together. I am color challenged so I turn to her when I need help!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards, Nancy, with great colour choices!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blended backgrounds for these cards, Nancy! The first glows like the warmth of the candles, and the leafy embossed background looks amazing with it. Hooray for two more Christmas cards for your stash! I've been inspired by this month's GO7 and bookmarked the technique... along with many others I'd like to try. There is simplty too much inspiration out there!
ReplyDeleteI am finding ink blending addictive, my friend. I hope you get to play along too or just use the techniques in the future:-) TFS your sweet comment...Love and Hugs...Nancy

ReplyDeleteYour ink blending is awesome, Nancy! Such smooth, rich colors that are perfect for the candle image and the Gift with Baubles! Two gorgeous Christmas cards, my friend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ink blending Nancy, gorgeous rich colours too. I also love the embossed detail on the background too. Lovely Christmas cards ..... I really should be making a start on mine! xx
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards, Nancy! I love the blended BG's and white embossed images! I love working with the oxide inks and you're so right about letting them dry! Thanks for the lovely inspiration! Sue
ReplyDeleteTwo beautifully blended cards, your colors are beautiful together
ReplyDeleteGreat cards - and a new way for me to try the blending - I would have embossed first then blended so I'm keen to try your way. Thanks for sharing with us at Christmas Craft Creations
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are gorgeous, Nancy! The color combos are beautiful and your ink blending is so smooth! I like that you didn't lift ink and kept the vibrant colors for the candles! The background texture you created by dry embossing adds interest without taking away from the focal image. And those color matching rhinestones are the perfect finishing touch for the 2nd card! Hugs.. Hideko
ReplyDeleteTFS your sweet comment, Hideko...I hope you get to share your beauty on our Linky:-) Love and Hugs...Nancy
