STAMPlorations November 1, 2019 Stencil Challenge Anything Goes

Be sure and check out the creative Artsy projects by our Design Team!

I was inspired by Fall colors!  The monoprint technique is one of my favorites.

I secured the ARTplorations "Roses" Stencil over Strathmore Mixed Media paper
securing with masking tape.  Then sprayed with Distress Oxide Ink Sprays:
Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Fossilized Amber.

I made This card with the positive image and then because I had so much DOX
ink left on the stencil,  I sprayed with water then turned it over onto another piece of
MM paper,  covering with paper towel and pressed down with my hands.

Lifted stencil off carefully placing a clean paper towel over image lightly to
dab off excess inks and LOVED the monoprint!!
I liked it much better than the positive image.  The colors really glowed.

I then washed stencil and placed over dry image and traced over stencil using
Black Fine Tip Sharpie pen.

Next die cut background with CUTplorations "Crazy Running Stitch Rectangle
Nesting Die".  Outlined die cut border with Sharpie  for a more grunge look.

Stamped "Fond Expressions 2" sentiment with Archival black ink
and attached to SU Whisper White 100# Card Base and Done!

I was so pleased with the results.
We would love to have you join our Stencil Challenge.  You have until
the end of the month to play along!  Hugs...

  2. I missed this one, too. It's beautiful! You must have really had a lot of ink on that stencil, because it transferred a lot here. I have to remember to try this technique.

  3. Your monoprint is gorgeous, Nancy! I love how the colors blended. Tracing the flower image and the die-cut border with your black Sharpie gives a finished look and brings out the beautiful colors! Thanks for sharing.
