CAS Stencil Card Challenge: Patterned Paper hosted by Loll!
Fabulous card samples by our DT and our talented Guest Designer Gundi (paperelle).
My stenciling over SU Designer Paper (ret)
I am loving your challenge Loll!! I chose a retired SU designer paper that had a
watercolor look with shades of yellow and orangish red colors.
Placed my Magenta "Sunflowers" stencil over the paper and secured with
masking tape. Then used makeup brushes to add Distress Oxide Inks:
Aged Mahogany (center of flowers), Peeled Paint (leaves) and Abandoned Coral
and Squeezed Lemonade.
Lifted off the stencil then die cut image with MB stitched rectangle die
and popped up onto SU Whisper White 100# Card Base.
I wanted a more CAS look to my card so I die cut a frame using Penny Black
Leaf Stitched Frames Die and placed over image using Connect Glue.
I liked the finished look much better. Then added a new Clear Sticker
"Just Everyday Greetings" from STAMPlorations and Done!
*********
Loved how my card turned out so made a 2nd card using a different area of the DSP.
The only difference was that I used a different area of the Designer Paper and
a different sentiment from the same Clear Sticker set.
Always so fun to end up with Twofer's:-)
You have until the 24th to play along. Enjoy and be sure and check out the
CAS Stencil Challenge and Gallery! Hugs..
