Time for our STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge Anything Goes:
Optional Color Twist: Dark Navy.
Be sure and check out the beautiful cards by our talented Design Team!
The beautiful ARTplorations Peony Number Two-Stencil
is the star of my STAMPlorations CAS Card.
I secured the stencil with masking tape and then used TH Blending Tool
to sponge Distress Oxide inks: Faded Jeans and Blueprint Sketch
in a circular motion onto Neenah CS.
in a circular motion onto Neenah CS.
Removed stencil carefully and when dry stamped Blossom Dreams sentiment
with Versafine Black ink and heat embossed with clear EB powder.
Next added a yellow candy dot and a bit of Washi Tape to balance the image.
I added a swipe of Distress Oxide to the card base to give the look of a colored border.
Attached the image to the card base and Done.
I liked the simple design and hope you like it too.

ReplyDeleteSuch a striking stencil and love the blue shades on your CAS card. The yellow dot and washi tape look so cute. Thank you for the fabulous inspiration x.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stencilled image Nancy, I love that big bold flower and the navy just makes it pop off the card :)
ReplyDeleteBeatuiful card Nancy! What a pretty stencil. Your blending of inks is perfect! xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the color and I want that stencil! Wonderful and positive and pretty! Hugz
ReplyDeleteI don't use navy enough! I love it and I love your card!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful stenciled flower, Nancy! I love how you've stamped the sentiment to overlap and the little piece of Washi tape in the opposite corner!
ReplyDeleteThat's a big, beautiful flower, Nancy! The color turned out wonderful and you ensured perfectly matched borders by making them with the ink. The little touch of yellow with it is pretty!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful navy blue bloom, Nancy! I love it! Navy blue is one of my favorite colors and I've never used Faded Jeans and Blueprint Sketch together (My go-to color combo is Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch). You inspired me to try this color combo. The yellow candy dot is tiny but pops against the blue and looks so pretty. The matching color washi tape in the top right corner balances the image with the sentiment, and the blue borders on both sides finish the card perfectly.
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
Thank you so much Hideko for your sweet comment. That was my 1st time to combine the 2 colors. I will have to try your favorite color combo:-) I have always liked navy and yellow together. Hugs...Nancy
DeleteWonderful card and stencil, Nancy. Beautiful blending in the two shades of blues. xx
