April is flying by...already time for CAS Stencil Card Challenge Reminder!
Be sure and check out the creative Embossing paste card samples by our DT and
very talented Guest Designer Bobby's (Bits & Pieces).
There are videos if you need ideas for techniques too.
Used Golden's thick gel with Pearl-Ex over Stencil.
Close up of the EB paste texture with glitter from Pearl Ex and Nuvo Glimmer paste.
I used the same technique and leftover paste products on my reminder card as I used
in my CAS Stencil Card Challenge April launch card.
I did add True Blue Pearl-Ex to the leftover paste, which gave a lilac color.
Placed ARTplorations Stencil Weaving over Strathmore Mixed Media and used
palette knife to spread embossing paste over background.
Before paste dried I sprinkled a tiny bit of True Blue Pearl-Ex powder over stencil.
Removed stencil and washed in warm soapy water immediately.
Set aside stenciled background to dry.
Next die cut card front with largest SSS Postage Stamp Frame Die and die cut AliExpress
stitched partial circle window. Attached stencil background behind window.
Found Alexandra Renke "Snowdrop" dies in my stash, stacked 2 layers and
attached with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen then stamped and heat embossed sentiment.
Popped up card front onto SU Whisper White 100# card base with White Craft Foam
and Done! I loved the results.
You still have until the 24th to play along.
Thank you Barb for hosting this fun Stenciled Embossing paste Challenge. Hugs..

DeleteSo beautiful Nancy! LOVE the shimmer of the Nuvo paste with the Pearl-Ex powders. The true blue gives little hits of vibrant blue which adds something very special to the wonderful stenciled background. The white snowdrop die-cuts are so pretty. Great design, my friend! xx

Oh my gosh, so much to love on this card. The sparkle color is stunning and the die window is so pretty. I love that snowdrop die and it has been on my wish list since I first saw it and the postage mat is great. Is pearl ex like perfect pearls? Beautiful card, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Brenda. Good ? about the difference between Pearl-Ex and Perfect Pearls. Pearl-Ex is also a powder, but without a binder so you have to mix with eb paste, water, etc. Perfect Pearls Powder does have a binder so you can add right over a stamped image, etc and rub in or mix with other products. At least that is what I learned from SSS. I only have Pearl-Ex. Hugs..
DeleteBeautiful effect with your embossing paste and I just love the color and shimmer on this! What a great combination you used to achieve this, Nancy! I'd have never thought of mixing the pastes like you did. That flower is gorgeous and have a hunch I may be shopping again!
ReplyDeleteOh, now, this is really pretty, Nancy! Beautiful texture and color with the Pearl Ex. I love the look of the stenciled background, and those snowdrop dies are so delicate and graceful. A perfect sample for the CAS stencil challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful sparkle, Nancy! It makes such a pretty background with these sweet snowdrops!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous EB paste stenciling, Nancy! You made a pretty lavender color using the leftover and the blue! The white highlighted the shimmer and the colors. And you added so much interest to the white space with a variety of die-cuts. Love the well-balanced beautiful design, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHideko xx
p.s. After looking at your wonderful use of Pearl EX recently, I bought my first set yesterday. :-)
