My First Cover Plates and I am smitten!
I recently received these two cover plates from STAMPlorations and discovered
they are perfect for quick and creative cards over watercolored backgrounds!
As you all know, I LOVE to make backgrounds and have a Large stash:-)
Card #1 used Lindy's Magicals pigment powders background.
All I did was die cut the CUTplorations "Butterfly Cover Plate" out of mixed media paper
and attached to card base with SU Thin Tip Glue Pen.
Next found the CUTplorations "Stitched Thankful" in my die cut stash and attached.
And...Done!
Card #2 used this gorgeous Distress Oxides smooshed and splashed
background from my stash!
I die cut my new to me CUTplorations "Bloomtangle #1 Cover Plate"
and attached to Distress Oxide background, which I made by smooshing
and splashing left over DOX inks from my mat.
I was so pleased at how well the SU Fine Tip Glue Pen worked on
attaching the cover plates on both cards. I did weight down each card with my
large acrylic block until glue was dry.
I found a piece of Magicals background with a darker shade of color
to die cut my CUTplorations sentiment.
Two beautiful cards in no time at all:-)
Enjoy and Happy Stamping my friends. Hugs...

Two beautiful and colourful cards, my friend! Your cards really did make me smile! The colours are so gorgeous ... especially love how the magicals blend together so perfectly. The DOX inks are so totally different than the magicals, but are also beautiful. You have enabled me to buy two different coverplates and I'm excited for them to arrive! :) xx

ReplyDeleteWowie wow, Nancy!! I hesitate to buy large, intricate dies because I've had so many issues with them cutting properly, but if you say so... I'm absolutely smitten with the first one that leaves the space at the bottom. LOVE that! Both your backgrounds are gorgeous. Two different looks, but I could not pick a favorite. Fantastic!
