CAS Watercolour Tree

September CAS Watercolour Tree Challenge hosted by Loll.
Be sure and check out the gorgeous cards by the DT and very
CAS talented GD Ros (Mikey's Mom).

I am sharing 2 Bister pigment inks Stenciled Monoprint Trees card.
They are the same except a little different Bister ink colors.

The 1st card uses Blue and Green Bisters.

The 2nd card uses Yellow and Green Bisters.

I can't chose a favorite.  Can you?

I used a favorite ARTplorations "Christmas Tree 1" Stencil by Sanna Lippert Designs.

I taped down over Strathmore Mixed Media paper and sprinkled
with Bisters pigment powders: Blue and Green.

Then liberally spritzed with water and carefully removed stencil and
set positive monoprint aside to dry.

Then turned stencil over onto another piece of MM paper and pressed down stencil
to move ink around paper.  Removed stencil and set negative image aside for future use.

Yes,  I have a nice stash of negative and positive Stencil monoprint images:-)

Rolled a role of paper towels lightly over image to soak up any puddles.

When image dry I die cut with CUTplorations Die and placed in MISTI.
Next stamped the STAMPlorations Typografia Christmas "Christmas in the Heart" stamp
using Archival Jet Black Ink.  I stamped a couple times for good coverage.

Next attached to SU Whisper White card base.  Added a tiny halogram star to
the top of the stamped sentiment and Done!

The 2nd card was exactly the same except for using Bisters Yellow and Green
pigment powder.  I was so happy with both cards.

Thank you Loll for a fun challenge.  Enjoy and Hugs..

  1. If I had to pick a favourite, I'd pick the blue and green one, but both are great. Love that stencil with the simple little trees. And your sentiment stamp works perfectly over it. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Watercolour.

  7. I love that sentiment stamp. It's beautiful all on it's own. No, I can't pick a favorite. The first makes me think of spruce trees and the second is more a pine color. You must have quite a few Christmas cards by now. Yay, Nancy!
