CAS Watercolour Challenge Reminder Cards and perfect timing as today is
My bouquet of flowers for Bonnie:-)
I know Bonnie likes Blue, so I had fun finishing a stamped on Mixed Media paper
and colored with
and colored with
Derwent Watercoloured Pencil hydrangea image, that I had made at our Retreat.
I stamped with Versafine black ink Impression Obsession F16363 again, watercolored
with pencils using Dolly's technique...and fussy cut.
I held the Derwent Watercolour pencil in left hand and swiped a slightly wet
#4 paint brush over the tip of the pencil and painted the image adding layers until
pleased with the result.
Attached shaped fussy cut hydrangea with SU dimensionals.
Then die cut a circle from SU Whisper White 100# CS.
Snipped off a straight edge on top and bottom of circle
and wrapped with SU retired Washi Tape and popped up with dimensionals.
Then used W/C pencils to ground the vase.
I found an old SU sentiment from "On Your Birthday" stamp set that fit perfectly
into the space. Stamped, Heat Embossed on CS, fussy cut and attached.
Hope you get to play along and wish Bonnie a Happy Birthday too:-)
Have fun at your Birthday Celebration, my friend.
You have until the 24th to play in the CAS Watercolour Challenge. Hugs...

ReplyDeleteI love hydrangeas, too, so this is my new favorite card of yours, Nancy! It's beautifully colored with your pencil tips! (A+++) And the way you did that vase is so very, very clever and very very pretty in the green polkie-dots! I would buy a vase like that! I'm sure Bonnie will treasure this!! Hugs, Dolly
ReplyDeleteI thank you every time I use my new watercolor pencils and use your awesome technique. Hugs...Nancy
DeleteSuch pretty watercolor of your intensely blue hydrangea, Nancy! They do turn out the most glorious shades of blue -- all over the spectrum. Some delicate, some very rich. Yours is a gardener's delight! Love your Washi tape vase, too. The wrapped tape even gives it a little texture. We just got home Wednesday night, so I'm in catch up mode for a few days. You know how that is!
ReplyDeleteMy hydrangea reminds me of your pretty blue hydrangea, Leslie. Thank you for your sweet comment. So glad you got to go camping again:-) Hugs...Nancy
DeleteYour Hydrangea are sooo pretty, Nancy! I love the color and the dimension! And how creative you are to make a vase from a circle die-cut and washi tape! I have that sentiment stamp too. It was discontinued when I was a SU demo, so I bought the set at ebay several years ago. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHugs.. Hideko xx
I am glad you got the birthday set...it is still one of my fav's. Hugs...
