Splitcoaststampers TLC656 Watercoloured Tissue + Embossing

Sabrina is hosting this weeks SCS TLC656 Watercoloured Tissue plus Embossing Challenge.

I love any tissue paper technique,  so had to play along:-)

Here is my Watercoloured Tissue Paper plus Metallic Gold heat EB card!

I used Loll's (Stamping with Loll) wonderful Tissue Paper Watercolouring & Techniques You Tube Video for my background technique. Do not miss Loll's awesome video.  You will learn so much and be hooked on tissue paper techniques:-)

I used SU Daffodill Delight, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango Classic Dye Inks to watercolour my tissue paper.  I swiped the inks onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and layed my 6" x 6" piece of tissue over the inks and then carefully picked up and layed onto a paper towel.

Next let dry then scrunched up into a ball and opened leaving lots of  scrunched wrinkles.   Brushed Golden's Gel Medium onto a 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of mixed media and attached carefully my scrunched watercolored tissue paper.  I weighted down with an acrylic block for good attachment.

I then used my embossing buddy on my piece and carefully rubbed Versamark ink on the raised ridges,  sprinkled on Gold Tinsel EB powder and heat embossed.  Wow...Lots of pretty gold glitter!

Added a twice die cut CUTplorations Birthday Word Die and attached with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen and weighted down with acrylic block until dry and secure.  Stamped my "Happy" sentiment from SU "It's Your Birthday" using Melon Mambo ink and attached with same glue and weighted down.

When everything was perfectly dry and secure I popped up on a piece of fun foam and attached to SU Thick Whisper White card base and Done!

Thank you Sabrina for a fun tissue paper technique.  So pleased you liked my sample for the DTGD17 Challenge.  Here are My DTGD17 Tissue Cards.

Here is the link again to The Technique Lovers Challenge on Splitcoaststampers TLC656 Watercoloured Tissue plus Embossing Challenge.  So many gorgeous cards in the Gallery.

Fall 2017 Coffee Lover's Bloghop!

Another fun Fall 2017 Coffee Lover's Bloghop Event!
Hosted by Amy and Chaitali.

STAMPlorations is joining the fun as a Sponsor with more prizes and linky fun!

I am joining the fun with my "May your cup be Full and your book be Long " card!

I made my smooshed background using T.H. Distress Oxide Inks: Antique Linen, Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral.  I started with my lightest color 1st.  I swiped one ink onto my craft mat and misted with water then smooshed onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper.  Dried with heat tool.  Repeated the technique until I had used all  my Fall colors.  I really like how my smooshed background turned out.

I was inspired by this card by STAMPlorations DT member, Kathy's bloghop card.  TFS Kathy (Stamps At Play)

Next I stamped the mug and books from Shery's STAMPlorations "Good Books and Coffee" stamp set using Archival Black ink.  Next stamped the sentiment from Becca's STAMPlorations "Literary Caffeine-ations" set.

I then stamped a leaf from Shery's "Trendy Leaves" set to make my card seem even more like Fall!

Die cut my layer using Memory Box Stitched Rectangles Die and attached to my SU Thick Whisper White card base.  A really fun, quick and easy card.  I love when that happens:-)

Enjoy and hope you get to play along in the bloghop too.  BTW...I am so happy...we are finally getting rain in the Pacific Northwest.  Should really help get all the fires under control!  Hugs..

Supplies:

CAS Watercolour Silhouette CASE!

I had so much fun CASE'ing my CAS Watercolour DT girlfriend, Karen's (Snippets) beautiful acrylic stamped watercoloured background and silhouette stamped beauty!

Karen's Gorgeous card!
Click on "Snippets" above for Karen's description!

Here is my card using Karen's technique.  TFS and always inspiring me my friend!

I inked my long acrylic block with Distress Inks: Faded Jeans, Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserves.   I used only one color then spritzed with water.  Next I swiped one color at a time onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper.

After dry I stamped using Archival Jet Black Ink onto SU "Just Believe" stamp 2 times reinking between stamping.  Then stamped off for a light background image.

Then I placed my piece in MISTI  to stamp my 2 new Penny Black "Happy Snippets" sentiments. There are 37 choices of sentiments in different fonts that you can mix and match for many occasions. This is a very versatile set,  which are my favorite!

Next I die cut my piece using another new PB product.."Antique Frame" Dies. Then die cut mixed media paper with a larger  antique frame.  I popped up my main image onto that frame using fun foam.

Then attached the layers to my SU Thick Whisper White card base.  I loved the results.  Thank you again Karen for your beautiful technique and inspiring card.

My card is for our CAS Watercolour September "Silhouette" Challenge.  I just had to play again!

You still have until the 24th to play along.  There are so many creative and inspiring cards from our DT and GD, Birgit.  Happy Stamping...Hugs..

CAS Watercolour Silhouette Reminder

The month is flying by...already time for our CAS Watercolour Silhouette Reminder cards!

So many Inspiring and Creative Silhouette cards by our DT and amazing Guest Designer, Birgit (Rapport fran ett skrivbord)

I am trying to catch up on my Christmas Card Stash!

Enjoy!

I used a scrap from the large background I created for This Christmas Card. I made 7 cards from the large background and still had a few scraps left over:-)

I used Brushos powder on Arches Hot Press paper and spritzed liberally with water. Then added Himalayan Pink salt, Sea Salt and Table salt on my 9" x 9" watercolor piece of paper.  I do love the watercolor salt technique for backgrounds.  I did add white acrylic paint splatters for a snowy effect.  Also die cut my main image using Memory Box Stitched Rectangles die.

I added the Rich Razzleberry die cut frame to make the Brushos background pop.

The Poppystamps Snowflake Ribbon Craft die was from a playday spent with my very crafty girlfriend Leslie (Running With Scissors).  We always have fun sharing products when we craft together:-)  I attached with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen and added Wink of Stella and rhinestone for a bit of glitter.

Next I die cut my card front with CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Die. Attached main image that I popped up with fun foam.  Then stamped my all time favorite SU Merry Christmas sentiment using Archival Jet Black ink and Done!

Hope you get to join the fun at CAS Watercolour.  We would love to see your silhouette CAS cards:-)  You have until the 24th to play along.  Hugs....

CAS Mix Up Watercolour Wash Reminder

Time for our  CAS Mix Up Watercolour Wash Reminder Hosted by Bonnie.

Be sure and check out the Gorgeous Watercolour Wash cards by our talented Design Team and Guest Designer, Cathy R (Cathy's Card Spot)

Here is my Watercolour Wash CAS So Sorry Card!

I found this pretty Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolour Paints Wash in my stash from our Spring trailer camping trip.  I die cut it using my Poppystamps "Flora Stem Collage" Die.  I die cut the same die again using SU Thick Whisper White CS.  I then inlaid the WC background pieces just like a puzzle and used scotch tape on the back to secure the background pieces.

I used a separate  flower in the die set and die cut it with Whisper White CS to add dimension. Next   I found an Alcohol Ink background in my stash with yellows, blues and greens and placed my flower die on a section with mostly yellows and a bit of green and die cut.  It is not a bright flower,  but I wanted a softer color because I will be using this card for my thinking of you type of cards for my stash.  I unfortunately seem to need this style of card too often.

I attached my flower with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Next coloured the stem with my Zigs. Then I placed my card front in my MISTI and stamped the PB "Heartfelt Thanks" sentiment using Archival Black Ink.

I do love the texture from the Watercoloured Wash background and simplicity.  I will stamp another sentiment inside later.

Enjoy and hope you get to play along with our CAS Mix Up Watercolour Wash Challenge. There are several very helpful videos on the CMU site too.  You have until the 24th to play along.  Happy Stamping.  Hugs...

CAS Mix Up Watercolour Wash Hello

This months CAS Mix Up Watercolour Wash has me playing with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Paints!

I used Stamping + Flat Watercolour Wash + Die Cuts, Heat Embossing and Fussy Cutting!

I started by using Versamark to stamp my STAMPlorations "Helenium-Large" flower image onto Arches Hot Press paper, then heat embossed with SU Black EB powder.  Watercoloured my flower with Zig markers and fussy cut with  paper snips.

Next I die cut a background layer of the hot press paper with CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Die, then I used a flat paint brush to liberally brush on water.  Next I used the Flat Watercolour Wash technique by Bob Davies (5:14) to add my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints.  I layered the yellow and then the green paints until I was happy with the saturation.  Let dry.

Placed my background into my MISTI and stamped my sentiment using Archival Black Ink.

I then popped up my fussy cut flower with foam tape.  Next added fun foam to my main image to pop up onto SU Whisper White stitched card front,  which I attached to SU Thick Whisper White card base.  Done and very happy with the results!

Hope you get to play along with our CAS Mix Up Challenge too.  You have until the 24th to play. Be sure and check out the beautiful samples by our DT and GD, Cathy R. (Cathys Card Spot) and helpful videos.  Happy watercolouring my friends.   Hugs

CAS Watercolour Silhouette Challenge

Time for our CAS Watercolour September "Silhouette" Challenge.  So many Gorgeous cards by our Design Team and our Amazing Guest Designer, Birgit (Rapport fran ett skrivbord)!

I chose my Memory Box "Dragonfly Stems Left Corner Die" for my Silhouette Image.

After borrowing Loll's (Stamping with Loll) Die at our Retreat in May,  Loll surprised me recently with my very own Dragonfly Die!  Thank you so much sweet girl friend:-)  Even though I recently made THIS card with Loll's borrowed die,  I just had to use it for my CAS Watercolour September "Silhouette" Challenge launch card.

I started with a Stitched die cut piece of retired SU designer series paper.  It has a watercolor wash look,  but I sponged more Distess Oxide ink onto the paper.  I swiped Peacock Feathers and Broken China onto my craft mat and spritzed with water.  I sponged onto the paper with my blending tool.  It gave more of a watercolour wash look,  but not as much as I had hoped,  but was fun to try.  I love playing with my DOX Inks.

Next I placed my dragonflies die on the sponged paper and die cut.  Attached a 2nd layer of die cut stitched designer paper and attached the 2 layers, so the white cardstock under the layer would not show.  Then I die cut the dragonflies using Thick Whisper White CS, which I inlaid using SU Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Next I glued on the black die.  That popped up my dragonflies and also gave them a slight white shadow for more dimension.

Next I added a stamped sentiment and sequins to my main image and Wink of Stella to my die.

To finish my card I popped up the main image using fun foam onto my Thick Whisper White card base.

I hope you get to join our fun CAS Watercolour Challenge.  You have until the 24th to play along.  Be sure and check out all the fabulous DT and GD, Birgit's cards for inspiring CAS Card designs.

Supplies:
Stamps: SU "Gifts of Kindness" ..retired.
Inks: Archival Jet Black.  Ranger: Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks: Peacock Feathers and Broken China.
Paper: SU Thick Whisper White and Retired DSP
Accessories: Memory Box Dragonfly Stems Left Corner Die and MB Stitched Rectangles Die.  Sequins from stash, SU Fine Tip Glue Pen, Fun Foam ($ store)

CAS Mix Up September Watercolour Wash

Time for our CAS Mix Up Watercolour Wash Challenge!

I used Stamping, Distress Oxides Watercolour Wash, Fussy Cutting and Doodling!

I started out by using a flat paint brush to liberally brush on water to a piece of Strathmore Cold Press paper.  Swiped my ink pads onto my craft mat and spritzed with water.   Then used same wet brush to add T.H. Distress Oxide ink Wild Honey part way down paper.  Then did the same wet on wet technique to add Abandoned Coral DOX ink blending the two colors.  As I worked down the paper I added darker layers of the Coral.  I loved how the 2 colors blended from honey to light coral to darker coral shades effortlessly with the DOX inks.

Next I placed my watercolour washed paper into my MISTI and stamped my STAMPlorations "Caffeinated Zen 1" using Archival Jet Black Ink.  That was when I decided to stamp the flower sleeve again using the black ink onto another white piece of the WC paper.  I liked the results.

I fussy cut the WC Wash cup and the black and white sleeve.  Shaped both with my bone folder. Attached sleeve with liquid glue.  Then doodled a border using my Staedler pen then placed in my MISTI and stamped my sentiment.

I attached my cup with foam tape down the middle back of cup to give the curved effect.  added Nuvo Glitter Drops to 3 of the flowers and was done!  I really liked how my Flat Watercolored Wash card turned out and it will be fun to use for a beverage gift card:-)

This was such a quick and easy card,  which is great for this busy time of year.  Enjoy and hope you get to join our talented Design Team and our very CAS talented Guest Designer, Cathy R (Cathy's Card Spot) this month. You have until September 24th to play along:-)
