Inkspirational Challenge #166-Designer's Choice..

Inkspirational Designer Sandie's Choice
Make a card in 10 minutes or Less!

The perfect Inspiration for me to play with a couple new release stamp sets
designed by Shery at STAMPlorations.

My 7 minutes and 58 seconds Blooms Card!

I loved how my bright and cheerful card turned out.  I let my MISTI do all the work.

I got all my supplies out and arranged the stamps from STAMPlorations "Brave One" and
"Big Dreamer" on Strathmore Mixed Media paper in my MISTI.

Then set the timer for 10 Minutes!

Inked all the stamps with Archival Jet Black Ink and restamped a couple of times
for good coverage.  Then started coloring with my Zig markers.

I chose colors ahead that were in the Washi tape, so did not have to think...
just started coloring.

When done added the Washi tape for a border and Clear Wink of Stella to all the images
and Done!  The bonus...I really liked the cheerful One Layer Design:-)

Thank you Sandie for a fun challenge and Shery for a fun new stamp set:-)

Have a wonderful weekend.  Hugs...

Twofer July Card Challenge Beverage

You still have until the 24th to play along.

My Twofer Coffee Mug cards!

Close up of 1st card using 4 1/4" Square Format.

I stamped my STAMPlorations "Holiday Mug" designed by Shirley of Bee's Knees
using Archival black ink onto a piece of Splash Technique that I had in my stash.
Then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I had used the Splash Technique on Arches 140# Cold Press watercolor paper.
I had used greens, blues and yellow Distress Oxides.
I love the color combo.

I then fussy cut the mug with my papersnips
and watercolored the coffee section with DOX Walnut Stain ink.

Next I stamped the sentiment using MISTI and
shaped mug with bone folder and attached with dimensionals to a layer
of cold press paper for added texture.

Adding a thin frame of SU Cucumber Crush CS and
popped up with fun foam onto SU Very Vanilla Thick CS card base and Done!

Close up of 2nd card using SU retired Designer Series Papers.

After purging my craft room,  I was determined to use DSP's and CS from my supplies.

My 1st card I used CS and this card I used Christmas DSP's from 2 different
retired SU designs.  Hardly made a dent,  but...heh,  at least I am using!

I love Cherry Cobbler and Crumbcake for Christmas Colors.
I even used ribbon...oh my!!!

I stamped the Holiday Mug onto the DSP using Archival black ink.
Colored the coffee section with SU Chocolate Chip marker.
Added Wink of Stella and SU rhinestones to the snowflakes and attached
mug to fun foam and set aside.

Next die cut the polka dot Christmas DSP with PB Antique Frame Die and
die cut fun foam with same die and attached to each other.

Added SU retired Cherry Cobbler ribbon to background and added another
small die cut frame with the DSP and attached stamped sentiment.

Attached popped up main image to SU Whisper White Thick CS card base
and attached mug and done!

Pleased with the results and happy to have another Christmas card for my stash.

I am adding my 1st card to this months CAS Watercolour Challenge...Splash Watercolouring.

CAS Watercolour Splash Reminder

It is already time for the CAS Watercolour  Splash Watercolouring Reminder,
which I am pleased to be hosting this month:-)

There are so many creative Splash cards by our talented DT
and creative Guest Designer, Marcia (marciakdesigns), plus our growing Gallery.

You still have until the 24th to visit the blog and play along:-)

I made 2 cards using the positive and negative Splash backgrounds from my
CUTplorations "Coffee Cup Silhouette Die".

My Splash Positive Card!
A birthday card for our coffee loving son, Levi!

I used Loll's Splash Background Video for both cards.
In only 2:25 minutes you will be ready to create Splash designs:-)

I used Bisters Pigment Powders that I reconstituted by spritzing the crystal powders
with water on my craft mat.
Next I pounced my Strathmore Mixed Media paper into the ink,
using One Bister's ink at a time and drying between layers to
create my Splash Watercolor Background.

I die cut the Bister's Splash Background with CUTplorations "Coffee Cup Silhouette Die"

Next I die cut the "Coffee Cup Silhouette Die" again using a smooshed background
 from my stash.
The background was made with Distress Oxides..not sure of colors.
You can see how I added drops of water to the Distress Oxide background.

I inset all my die cut pieces...just like a jigsaw puzzle. Which gave me a
positive and a negative main image.
Secured pieces of each image with scotch tape on the back.

Die cut SU Crumb Cake CS  with CUTplorations "Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle".
Popped up Positive image and Crumbcake layers using fun foam
onto SU Whisper White Thick card base.

Heat Embossed my PB Happy Snippets sentiment with Versamark
and Wow Bright White EB Powder onto Crumbcake CS and Done!

Here is my Splash Negative 2nd Card!

My CAS layouts are slightly different.

My sentiment on my 2nd card is from STAMPlorations "Bloom Happy" stamp set.

I used the Negative Splash Background for behind the coffee cup and frame.

I loved both cards equally.  I thought they were really fun and creative ways
to use my "Splash Watercolour" background!

I hope you are inspired by our DT and Guest Designer, Marcia
and will join us in the Spash fun this month.

Happy Summertime creating, my friends...Hugs!

Time for the CAS Mix Up Reminder Cards by our talented DT
and awesome Guest Designer, Susan Joyce, (Cat's Ink Corporated).

Bonnie is hosting our creative "Colour Your Die-Cuts" Challenge.

My card using Colored die cut holly + Stamping + Stenciling and Nuvo Drops

I die cut 8 Penny Black "Holly and Berry Branch" images
out of Strathmore Mixed Media paper.

Then spent enjoyable time coloring them with Zigs.
I used  Nuvo Crystal Drops "Autumn Red"
to pop up the berries. Setting all the dies aside overnight to dry the Nuvo drops.

Next I die cut 4 PB Antique Frames out of SU Whisper White Thick CS.
Placed my SSS "Falling Snow" stencil over each CS
and added Nuvo Glimmer Paste "Moonstone" using a palette knife.
The Glimmer is Gorgeous!

The next day I stamped the SU "Christmas Greetings" retired sentiment
on each background layer.  Then attached my holly using
SU Fine Tip Glue Pen and weighted down with a large acrylic block until dry.

Attached main image to SU Whisper White card base and Done...

CAS Watercolour July Splash for a friend

I am hosting the CAS Watercolour Challenge  Splash Watercolour Technique.
It is one of my favorites,  so I will be sharing a couple extra cards this month.

Be sure and check out all the creative cards by our talented DT and
awesome Guest Designer Marcia (marciakdesigns).

My card using  the Alexandra Renke "Snowdrop" Dies with a Splash Watercolor Background!

I have spent the last week working hours each day on a Big Purge of my
guest/craft room.  A lot of work,  but the plus side is finding
beautiful treasures that can be made into cards.

I found this beautiful Distress Ink Splash Background on hot press paper in my stash.
I followed Loll's Splash Background Technique video.
I used Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick and Ripe Persimmon Distress Inks.

The background was die cut with MB Stitched Rectangle die.

Because of my dear friend, Hideko's (Papercraft Boutique) beautiful new cards using
dies by Alexandra Renke,  I could not resist ordering from SSS my 1st die set.."Snowdrops".

This is a German company,  but SSS does have a nice selection of their products.

I stacked 3 die cuts of each flower cut from SU Whisper White Thick CS.
Attaching layers with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen
and weighted down with a large acrylic block.

Then die cut the Splash background with the Snowdrop dies and
set those dies aside for later use.

Inlaid my stacked Snowdrops and stamped SU sentiment.
Popped up sentiment with dimensionals.

Then popped up my main image using fun foam and attached to
SU Whisper White Thick CS and Done!

Thank you again, Hideko for the inspiration and for your friendship.  Hugs...

CAS Christmas Poinsettia Challenge

The Joy of a craft room Purge...finding new old treasures!

I made 2 cards after finding these pretty Poinsettias premade images :-)

I am playing along with the CAS Christmas Challenge July Poinsettia Challenge.

My CAS Christmas Cards

2nd Card

I just reversed the colors.  Very simple and fun CAS design using
colored cardstock and white cardstock and the same sentiment Die Cut.

The poinsettias were gifted to me several years ago.  I think they were from Michaels.

I was inspired by DT member,  Hideko's (Papercraft Boutique) sample card!

I loved her stenciled with glitter paste and framed image.
I thought I had a poinsettia stencil,  but turned out it was a holly stencil,
so my card looks very different, but I like the results.

Thanks Hideko though for getting my creative juices flowing:-)

Enjoy,  you have until the 24th to play along.  All the DT and the GD Marina's
cards are so inspiring and beautiful.

Hugs..

Supplies:
Stamps: None
Paper: SU Whisper White Thick and SU Green CS.
Inks: None
Accessories: Memory Box "Curved Merry Christmas Die".  SU Fine Tip Glue Pen to attach green inlaid Christmas on 2nd card. Poinsettias images.

CAS Watercolour July Splash Watercolouring

Time for our CAS Watercolor July Splash Challenge!

Hosted by Nancy (me).

A fun and easy watercoloring technique.
After watching Loll's (Stamping with Loll) You Tube
Splash Watercolouring Background video: In 2:25 minutes you will be ready to create:-)

Using different watercoloring medium: reconstituted pigment powders,
watercolor paints, distress inks, dye inks, etc on different watercolor papers
will create different effects.

All the amazingly creative samples from the DT and our
Guest Designer: Marcia (marciakdesigns) will inspire you as well.

Here is my Splash Watercoloring Background Card!

Because I knew I would be hosting the Splash Background theme,
I have built up a stash of backgrounds:-)  Sure makes creating a card quick and fun!

This was my very favorite background created with Distress Oxide Inks.
I added 2 or 3 colors at a time with space in between onto my craft mat.
Spritzed with water using T.H. Spritzer.

Then the Splashing (pouncing) began using Fluid 100 Hot Press watercolor paper.
Be sure to use any type of watercolor paper.
The trick is to dry between layers of Splashing.  I used a heat tool.

I used a total of 7 DOX inks: Fossilized Amber, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, Candied Apple, Cracked Pistachio and Spiced Marmalade.

I will be sharing more samples this month using different watercolor mediums:-)

I die cut the background using Poppystamps: "Floral Stem Collage".
Next I die cut the same image using SU Whisper White Thick CS.

Then watercolored the white stem with green Zig marker and inlayed the frame,
flower and stem into the splash background.
Attaching inlay using SU Fine Tip Glue Pen.

There is a separate flower in the die set that I die cut out of the white SU CS.
Next used my zig marker to color the flower
and then spritzed with water to give a more watercolored look.
When dry I attached flower and added Wink of Stella.  Very pretty IRL.

I stamped my PB "Happy Snippets" sentiment using MISTI.
Popped up main image with fun foam and Done!

I love the Splash colors and artsy look of the background.  Hope you do too!
You have until the 24th to join the fun at CAS Watercolouring.

Remember to keep your design Clean and Simple! You have until the 24th to play.
Hugs...

and our awesome Guest Designer, Susan Joyce (Cat's Ink Corporated).

You have until the 24th to play along in this fun challenge!

Using Coloured Die Cut with Zigs + Stamping + Dry Embossing and Splash Watercolouring.

I used a Splash Watercolour Background,
which I die cut with Poppystamps "Floral Stem Collage" Die.

Here is Loll's You Tube video Splash Watercolour Backgrounds 2:25 which I used
for my background.  This technique is also for the
July CAS Watercolour Challenge that I am hosting, starting on July 2nd.

I die cut a SU Whisper White Thick CS with the flower blossom die
and colored with Zigs and spritzed with water using TH spritzer.
Next I used a Signo White gel pen to highlight the veins and added Wink of Stella.

Then I dry embossed SU Very Vanilla Thick CS with SU Brick EB Folder
and mounted my die cut image.  Next popped up
with fun foam onto Very Vanilla card base.

Used a scrap from the background to stamp the Penny Black "Happy Snippets"
sentiment, attaching with SU mini dimensionals and Done!

Hope you get to play along with us at CAS Mix Up.
Be sure and check out all the beautiful cards by our DT and Guest Designer.

Have fun coloring your Dies.  Hugs...
