CAS Watercolour July Splash for a friend

I am hosting the CAS Watercolour Challenge  Splash Watercolour Technique.
It is one of my favorites,  so I will be sharing a couple extra cards this month.

Be sure and check out all the creative cards by our talented DT and
awesome Guest Designer Marcia (marciakdesigns).

My card using  the Alexandra Renke "Snowdrop" Dies with a Splash Watercolor Background!

I have spent the last week working hours each day on a Big Purge of my
guest/craft room.  A lot of work,  but the plus side is finding
beautiful treasures that can be made into cards.

I found this beautiful Distress Ink Splash Background on hot press paper in my stash.
I followed Loll's Splash Background Technique video.
I used Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick and Ripe Persimmon Distress Inks.

The background was die cut with MB Stitched Rectangle die.

Because of my dear friend, Hideko's (Papercraft Boutique) beautiful new cards using
dies by Alexandra Renke,  I could not resist ordering from SSS my 1st die set.."Snowdrops".

This is a German company,  but SSS does have a nice selection of their products.

I stacked 3 die cuts of each flower cut from SU Whisper White Thick CS.
Attaching layers with SU Fine Tip Glue Pen
and weighted down with a large acrylic block.

Then die cut the Splash background with the Snowdrop dies and
set those dies aside for later use.

Inlaid my stacked Snowdrops and stamped SU sentiment.
Popped up sentiment with dimensionals.

Then popped up my main image using fun foam and attached to
SU Whisper White Thick CS and Done!

Thank you again, Hideko for the inspiration and for your friendship.  Hugs...

  4. I am the luckiest to have received the card! :-) Your photo is great but the actual card looks more fantastic, showing all the subtle details and layers of the colors. After reading the procedure of your making of it, I appreciate the card even more! I love the pretty splash background and the carefully in-laid & layered snowdrops, but what I'm most impressed about the card is your choice for the black heat-embossed tiny sentiment and the placement of it. I see your great taste in here. Hugs.. Hideko
