Day 1 Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends!

I am so excited that Loll is inspiring us all with her 4th Annual Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll and Friends!

Here is my Day 1 Christmas Tag!

Loll's Annual Tag Event inspires me every year to get my tags done for the trays of Norwegian Krumkakes that I share with friends and special people on my list!  Thank you my friend:-)

Since I used a Brushos background from my stash this tag was quick and easy.  I had used Purple and Ultra Marine Brushos + Indigo Color Burst pigment powders on my craft mat and spritzed liberally with water.  Then smooshed my Strathmore Bristol watercolor paper onto the inks.  Let dry and added to my stash.

I used CUTplorations Luggage Tag Dies (lg size) to cut my tag.  This has become my favorite Tag dies.  I love the shape and the 3 sizes.  Next I splattered diluted acrylic white paint with a flat paint brush.  When dry I used my MISTI  to stamp my new STAMPlorations Typografia Christmas: "Merry Little Christmas" stamp with Archival Jet Black ink.  I have 3 of the Christmas sets and they fit perfectly inside the Large Luggage Tags:-)  So quick and easy:-)  Great for cards too.

Next I sponged the edges of tag with SU Elegant Eggplant ink.  Then sprayed the entire tag with a glittery spray I make using Frost White Tsukineko ink.  So glittery and shiny IRL.  Added my ribbons and done:-)  I loved the results.  One tag done and 11 to go...at least that is my goal!

Be sure and check out Loll and her Guest Designer's Tags that she shares each day of her event..Nov. 6th thru the 17th:-)  I guarantee..you will be Inspired!  They just have to be a Christmas Theme using stamping and at least 2 mixed media products...easy!  Happy Tag creating my friends.  Hugs..

  5. Nancy, this is stunning...and how I wish we lived closer, I would love some of those krumkakes! My MIL made them every year also! So yummy! I am Italian, so we made a similar cookie (in that it is made with a press just as the krumkake), but totally different flavor (anise flavoring!) Back to your taq, I loved reading how you put it all together and it is a little more involved than what it looks, and that must be whey it is very special because you did so many little tricks with your tag to make it stand out! thanks for the inspiration!

    1. My grandma from Stavanger, Norway used her family recipe for our krumkage (crumbcakes). We all use the same recipe..melted Butter, Gold Medal flour, fresh eggs (our eggs) and white sugar. No spices and no filling for grandma's cookies. Delicious. If you ever get to Coos Bay, Colleen I will make you some:-) Happy holiday.

  7. Love the blue of your tag - and what a great sentiment! I like the way you stamped it on an angle. I got curious when you said you use the tags for the Norwegian Krumkakes you make at Christmas so I looked them up - they look delicious!
