Day 2 Twelve Tags of Christmas with Loll & Friends

I am thrilled to be invited by Loll to be her Guest Designer for Day 2 of her  2017 Twelve Tags of Christmas !

You will be so inspired by Loll's daily Mixed Media Christmas Tag and her 12 Guest Designers Tags!

Here is my Christmas Tag using a background from one of my favorite CAS Mix Up Challenges for 2017...August Alcohol Inks.  My favorite technique was "Alcohol Inks on Acetate".  I used a   background from my stash for my #8 Ranger Manila Tag!

Here is my Christmas Tag!

I am sharing a link to my favorite Card using the Alcohol Inks on Acetate with Tissue Paper Technique, which I used for my Tag background !  The link to my card will give you ALL the details for this beautiful technique. Here is my French Marigold Tissue Technique Card.

The only difference..I used Sailboat Blue and Steam Alcohol Inks on Acetate.

I used Golden's Thick Gel to glue my background onto Ranger's #8 Manila Tag.  I trimmed 1/2" off the bottom of the tag.  Then added SU Fine Tip Glue to my die, which I cut using SU Thick Whisper White CS.  My pretty Tree and Deer die was gifted to me by Loll for being a Guest Designer on her Tag Event:-) Thank you again my friend.  I used Quicky Glue Pen on the die image and sprinkled with SU Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  So pretty IRL!

Next added Poppystamps "Old Fashioned Merry Christmas" Die cut twice with SU Basic Black and Thick Whisper White CS and attached to tag along with SU "Holly Jolly Greetings" stamped "Christmas."   Added the SU silk ribbon and Done!

I love the beautiful effect with the Alcohol Ink background.  Really makes the white details Pop!

Enjoy and sure hope you get to play along with Loll's Awesome and Inspiring Christmas Tag Challenge.  Happy Holidays my friends.  Hugs..

Adding to SSS Wednesday Challenge: Christmas Gift Tag.

  2. So pretty, Nancy. Will have to try this technique. Alternatively, I could use one of the AI yupo backgrounds that I created for Lydia's recent challenge on SCS but didn't get to use yet.
