CAS Watercolour November "Holiday" Challenge!

Taking advantage of our CAS Watercolour "Holiday" Challenge to add to my Christmas Card Stash!
Be sure and check out the Gorgeous cards by our very talented DT and Fabulous Guest Designer Ina (Little Bits of Craft)!

Here is my CAS Christmas Card !

My card was so quick and easy since I had my die cut poinsettia in my stash.  Here is a card I made in August using the same poinsettia Poppystamps "Holiday Poinsettia" and "Holiday Holly" Dies.  This was the smaller flower that I did not use.

First I made a watercolor wash using Gansai Tambi watercolours on Strathmore 140# Cold Press paper.  I used a flat paint brush and liberally added water to my paper then painted with my paints.  While paint was wet I sprinkle with Himalayan pink rock sale, then sea salt and table salt.  Let dry..be patient..takes time.  Then brushed off salts.

I then die cut my petals with the Holiday Poinsettia dies and the leaves with the Holiday Holly dies.  Shaped with my bone folder and attached with fine tip glue pen.  Added a gold Nuvo drop to the center.

I then used my Sizzix T.H Mixed Media Christmas Poinsettia die to die cut the corner.  There are 3 corner dies in the set:-)  Here is a card I made for our CAS Mix Up July Tissue Paper Challenge using the same corner die,  but very different effect.

I placed my card into MISTI (without flower) and used my new Penny Black "Holiday Snippets" sentiment set.  I arranged 4 of the sentiments with no problem using MISTI and stamped with Archival Jet Black ink.  I like how they are different fonts.

Next I added dimensionals to my flower and placed on my card.  Then attached my card front to SU Thick Whisper White card base and Done!  I am really liking the simplicity of the design and pop of color from the poinsettia.  Be sure and check out all the DT and our Guest Designers cards.  You have until the 24th to play along.  Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays my friends.  Hugs..
