Follow your Dreams

Placed Simon Says Stamp (SSS) "Tumbling Leaves Stencil" off the edge of SU Whisper White 100# cardstock and secured stencil with 3M Masking Tape to my Glass Mat.

I wanted to use 3 colors of Ranger Distress Embossing Glaze (EB Powder) on the leaves,  but knew I would have to remove masking tape and stencil if I only heat embossed one color at a time.  Then replace stencil and masking tape perfectly so I would not get a blurry effect.  So I chose Glaze powder colors that would work well together if blended.

After securing stencil I used a sponge dauber to add Versamark Clear ink thru the stencil,  then  sprinkled EB Glaze powder colors.
I used Distress Embossing Glaze, Antique Linen (lt yellow), Peeled Paint (lt green) and Vintage Photo (brown) in that order.

Removed masking tape and stencil from card front.  Shook off glaze powders onto copy paper and poured into empty very small clear plastic pot with screw top lid to save for a future project.

Heat embossed the Glaze and LOVED the beautiful shiny results.
Then die cut the stenciled leaves card front with Reverse Confetti "Lacy Scallop Frame" Confetti Cut.

Next stamped STAMPlorations "Woodland Friends" Sentiment and heat embossed with Vintage Photo Glaze twice.  It looks a bit blurry in the photo,  but does not IRL.

I popped up the image with craft foam and attached to SU WW Thick 100# card base and Done!  Loved the results.  I will be using this technique again.
I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's video above.

Sharing Close Up of all the Stencil Heat Embossing.

You still have until the 24th to play along.  We would love to have you join us.
Love and Hugs..

  13. It's such a beautiful card, Nancy! I love that variation in the color of the leaves; I noted that you used a sponge dauber for the Versmark. That would have helped me with the stencil I ended up using. The lacy scallop frame is perfect for this creation.

    1. Yes, the sponge dauber works great for tiny open stencil spaces. I save one dauber to use just on versamark. TFS your sweet comment, my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy

  20. Nancy, I was talking to Lolly today about the glaze and she told me about this card so I came over to see. Normally I have a lot to say, but every once in a while I am left speechless by a work of art that's extraordinary and this is one of those times. More so, because you used leaves. Thud!
