STAMPlorations December Stencil Challenge: Anything Goes

Time for the STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge Reminder.
You still have until the end of December to play along:-)

Here are the Guidelines for the Challenge and Prizes!

I decided to make a Birthday card for a December birthday.  Enjoy!

I am Loving the "CUTplorations Basic A2 Panels Nesting Dies" set.  My card front and both
panels were cut by 3 of the sizes of dies in the set.  They add a beautiful clean
beveled edge to each panel.  A very versatile set with "9" dies:-)

I used ARTplorations "Leaf Prints Stencil" with Brushos Brilliant Red and Orange pigment
powder inks.  I placed the stencil over mixed media and secured with masking tape.
Then spritzed with water to blend the inks.  Carefully removed masking tape
then turned the stencil over and laid onto another card front to get a stencil monoprint
image for a future project.

After backgrounds dried I die cut the positive image panel and popped up with
white craft foam and attatched to card base.  Then cut a small panel from
the monoprint piece, die cut  and popped up with foam and placed next to 1st panel.

Next used CUTplorations "Skinny Sentiments Dies" to die cut the sentiment from
the monoprint image and attached to panel.  A fun bold artsy look!

Be sure and check out all the gorgeous projects by all the other Stencil Girls!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, dear friends.
Thank you also for all your thoughtful and much appreciated Comments!

STAMPlorations December Stencil Anything Goes Challenge

Time for our year ending December 2019 STAMPlorations Stencil Anything Goes Challenge!
Our STAMPGirls will be sharing Reminder projects on Dec. 15th, 2019.
Our next Stencil Challenge will be January 1, 2020!

We would love for you to play along!  You do not have to use STAMPlorations products,
but we love it when you do:-)

Here are the Challenge Guide Lines and Prizes!

Basic A2 Panels Nesting Dies,
Autumn Falling Stencil and Skinny Sentiments Dies.

I began by laying my "Autumn Falling Stencil" over mixed media paper
that I had die cut with CUTplorations Basic A2 Panels Nesting Die.
Then secured stencil with masking tape.

Next sprinkled Bisters pigment ink powders over stencil
and spritzed with water to blend the colors and reconstitute the inks.
I used Yellow, Red and Mahogany inks. Loved the color combo!

Then carefully lifted the stencil and removed tape and turned over the stencil onto
another A2 die cut piece of mixed media paper to transfer the excess ink.
I laid a paper towel over stencil and gently moved and blended the wet ink with my hands.

I used the paper towel to carefully blot excess ink from the original positive
stenciled mixed media layer and the 2nd monoprint layer.
I will save the positive stenciled mixed media image for a future project.

Steps for designing finished card:
1) Die cut A2 background and 2 smaller panel dies with "A2 Panels Dies:.
2) Die cut white craft foam for the 2 largest panels using same dies.
3) Attached foam to A2 background and 2nd panel and attached to card base.
4) Inlaid 3rd smaller panel.
5) Die cut Hello using CUTplorations "Skinny Sentiments" Dies. I am loving the "Skinny
Sentiments
Sentiments" Dies, which has 7 words and 7 shadow backgrounds:-)

Done!  Thank you for reading all my description:-) Hugs..

CAS Mix Up Challenge: Oxidized Metal

CAS Mix Up Challenge: Oxidized Metal is a Fabulous Challenge
hosted by the very talented Susan.  The cards by the DT and Guest Designer, Arlene
are Gorgeous and so Inspiring!  Be sure and check them out.

My card using Oxidized Metal, Stamping, and Die Cutting!

I have been so inspired by all the Gorgeous Oxidized Metal samples by our sister
challenge: CAS Mix Up that I just had to try this awesome technique.
I used the 1st video tutorial on the list of videos on the CAS Mix Up challenge site
for my inspiration.

I used Tonic Mirror Card Stock: Emerald Green and Distress Ink refills: Peeled Paint and
Blueprints Sketch.  I followed the video steps by covering the green Mirror CS with
water using my aqua brush. Then dropped the green and blue inks onto piece and
heated and moved around inks with heat tool.

Covered with clear EB powder and heated carefully by heating under
the cardstock and then on the top.  When dry,  rubbed with paper towel to remove
excess powder.

I had planned to use the piece to die cut with an AliExpress trees die, but the
die did not cut all the way thru so I ended up die cutting white trees, which I inlaid
into the tree depressions,  which worked great!

I then die cut a frame using CUTplorations Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.
Attached frame to image that I had popped up with foam to the card base.
Then stamped Penny Black "Holiday Snippets" sentiment onto card stock,
fussy cut and attached to background and Done!

I loved the results and so happy I had time to play in the challenge.
You have  until the 24th to play along.
Thank you again, Susan for an awesome challenge!  Hugs...

CAS Stencil Reminder: Monoprint

Already time for our CAS Stencil Reminder: Monoprint Cards!
You still have until the 24th to play along.  Linda is our awesome host.

Our Design Team and Guest Designer Lucie (LucieG'sCreativeSpace) have
fabulous cards to inspire you!

Here is my CAS Stencil Monoprint Card!

First I die cut an A2 card front using the new CUTplorations
"Basic A2 Panels Nesting Dies" and attached to card base.
The die gave a nice crisp beveled edge to the card front.

I used a scrap from my CAS Stenciled with ARTplorations "Leaf Prints Stencil
Monoprint launch card to die cut a
Memory Box Stitched Circle and inlaid into die cut circle of card front.

Here is the detailed description of my monoprint technique on my launch card.
There was a blob of Brushos ink in the middle of my image so I fussy cut
one of leaves from the positive stenciled image and popped up with dimensionals.

Next I die cut the Happy shadow stamp from STAMPlorations "Skinny Sentiments" Dies.
Then die cut the skinny Happy out of the positive stenciled background scrap.
Attached with Connect Glue and added stamped birthday from STAMPlorations
"Birds of Paradise" stamp set and Done!

Hope you get to join the fun at CAS Stencil Card Challenge.  Hugs...

STAMPlorations November 15, 2019 Reminder Stencil Anything Goes Challenge

STAMPlorations November Stencil Reminder Post.
Time is flying by,  with more inspiring stencil projects by our awesome DT!

I am Loving Shery's Clear Stickers products.  I have several sets and have been using
them often.  So quick and easy to add to a finished card.  Here is the link
to the 29 (so far) Clear Sticker sets:-)

The Happy Happy set includes 4 different Birthday sentiments with a total of 32
Birthday Stickers.

Now onto my card...I added drops of Quinacridone Nickle Azo Gold and Green shades of
Acrylic paints to my Glass Mat, sprayed with water then brayered to blend.
Placed mixed media paper over paints and pressed down to cover paper with paint.

Quickly placed "Leaf Prints Stencil" over painted paper before paint dried and
used baby wipes to lift color from leaf images.  When dry I die cut the
background into 2 pieces to create 2 finished cards.

I added White Craft Foam to both backgrounds and attached to textured Card Base.
Easily added the Clear Sticker "Happy Happy" sentiments and Done!
I really had fun with this baby wipe technique and loved both cards.

Here is my 2nd card

Enjoy and hope you get to join us at STAMPlorations November Stencil Challenge.
You have until the end of the month to play along.  Hugs..

STAMPlorations November Christmas in the Air Special Feature Projects

My 1st STAMPlorations "Christmas in the Air" Special Feature Projects!
Monika and I are sharing 2 Christmas projects each using STAMPlorations products
on the 2nd Wednesday of November 2019 and January, March and May 2020:-)

Hope you can play along too and have fun making Christmas projects.
You do not have to use STAMPloration products,  but we love it when you do!

I stamped,  heat embossed, watercolored and fussy cut STAMPlorations
"Christmas Gift-Large" image and popped up over ARTplorations

I used Distress Inks for all my watercoloring and added Nuvo Glitter Drops to
the ornaments.  I stamped the sentiment from STAMPlorations "Homespun Christmas".
A CAS Christmas card for the busy holiday season:-)

My 1st card started out looking like this...I loved the finished colorful gift!

*********************

For my 2nd card I designed a glittery winter scene using the sweet STAMPlorations
"Homespun Christmas" stamp set for the image and sentiment.
I love the many Christmas Sentiments in this set:-)

I stamped my image onto mixed media paper using a light colored Tea Dye Distress Ink
so I could color over the image with different Distress Inks.

After coloring the image I added Connect Glue to the snowy areas and sprinkled
with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  Really sparkly in real life!

Next I die cut the kraft card base and Cherry Cobbler layer with CUTplorations
the main image with white craft foam and Done!

Be sure and visit the STAMPlorations Blog to check out my teamie, Monika's beautiful
Christmas Projects.  The Christmas in the Air feature also doubles as a mini blog hop.

CAS Stencil Challenge: Monoprint

The CAS Stencil Challenge: Monoprint is being hosted by the very talent, Linda.

Stencil Monoprinting is one of my very favorite techniques!

Here is my CAS Monoprint Card.

I placed ARTplorations "Leaf Prints Stencil" over Strathmore Mixed Media and
secured with masking tape.  Then sprinkled Brushos Brilliant Red and Orange
pigment powders thru the stencil.  Generously spritzed with water.

Next removed the stencil carefully by lifting the edges of the masking tape.
Then flipped over onto A2 mixed media paper and placed paper towel
over the stencil and rubbed the ink gently around with my hands and
lifted off stencil.

Important Tip: Carefully blot the excess ink off the 1st Positive image
layer and the Monoprint layer. Then let Both images dry.

I should have taken photos of both backgrounds before I blotted them and let them dry.
Next time...promise...if I remember!

I die cut part of the monoprint background using my new to me Reverse Confetti,
Lacy Scallop Frame Confetti Cuts Die.

Next stamped and heat embossed in MISTI the Altenew "Leaf Canopy" sentiment.
Popped up the main image with white craft foam
and attached to SU Whisper White 100# Card Base and Done!

I loved the artsy look of the leaves and the framing.
Hope you can join us at CAS Stencil.  You have until the 24th to play along!  Hugs..
