CAS Stencil Reminder: Monoprint

Already time for our CAS Stencil Reminder: Monoprint Cards!
You still have until the 24th to play along.  Linda is our awesome host.

Our Design Team and Guest Designer Lucie (LucieG'sCreativeSpace) have
fabulous cards to inspire you!

Here is my CAS Stencil Monoprint Card!

First I die cut an A2 card front using the new CUTplorations
"Basic A2 Panels Nesting Dies" and attached to card base.
The die gave a nice crisp beveled edge to the card front.

I used a scrap from my CAS Stenciled with ARTplorations "Leaf Prints Stencil
Monoprint launch card to die cut a
Memory Box Stitched Circle and inlaid into die cut circle of card front.

Here is the detailed description of my monoprint technique on my launch card.
There was a blob of Brushos ink in the middle of my image so I fussy cut
one of leaves from the positive stenciled image and popped up with dimensionals.

Next I die cut the Happy shadow stamp from STAMPlorations "Skinny Sentiments" Dies.
Then die cut the skinny Happy out of the positive stenciled background scrap.
Attached with Connect Glue and added stamped birthday from STAMPlorations
"Birds of Paradise" stamp set and Done!

Hope you get to join the fun at CAS Stencil Card Challenge.  Hugs...

  1. I recently found the Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide ink, Nancy... your bright, and brilliant Brushos blows it out of the water!!! SO beautiful, and this stencil is, too! I never think I'd use a die for a card base, but you are so right about that finished edge!

  18. Such a bright and happy card, Nancy! I would have never thought the positive stenciled leaf was placed to hide a blob. I thought what a wonderful idea to combine a negative stenciled piece with a positive one. Wonderful job of the sentiment, happy, using the positive stenciled background, too.
