I am playing in STAMPlorations "Paint it Red" Challenge
I was inspired to make my STAMPlorations February "Paint it Red" Challenge ATC after seeing Shirley's Distress Oxide ATC's Spotlight projects! Be sure and check out her projects:-)
Here is my finished ATC made into a finished A2 card.
I used two A2 size pieces of Strathmore Bristol paper and made one piece using yellow and red Distress Oxide Inks and the other using greens and blues Distress Oxide Inks.
To color my A2 pieces I used my Distress Oxide pads and smeared ink
one color at a time onto a piece of acetate.
onto my A2 paper using my dear friend, Loll's video techniques.
I dried each layer of ink with my heat gun.
When backgrounds were finished I was able to get 4 die cut ATC"s.
Here is a photo of 3 of my background samples
Then more fun..added water drops with my T.H. spritzer, added EB paste thru Sanna's "Evolution Stencil", stamped sentiment and grunge images with black archival ink, added punched foil heart and doodled stitching for border. I loved the results.
I framed my ATC with SU So Saffron CS attaching with fun foam to pop up ATC.
Next I used my Clarity Brush to add a soft So Saffron inked stenciled image background
using my ARTplorations "Evolution" stencil by Sanna.
Attached framed ATC to A2 card base and Done!
Thank you again Shirley for your Spotlight Inspiration! Such a fun inky play day:-) Hugs...

Looks like you had a lot of fun creating this Nancy. Always great when we can get inky! :) Great layering of elements. And ATC's are the perfect size to make into a card. Great design, my friend! xx
ReplyDeleteJust looking at this card, I can feel the fun you had making the card, Nancy! You've got fabulous results with your smooshed and splashed Distress Oxide ink backgrounds. The colors are rich and the mixed shades of red are so beautiful. The grunge-look stamp images, the interesting pattern of the stenciled EB paste, the red foil heart, and hand-written stitched border all contribute to making the card look fun, energetic, and casual. I love it! Hugs.. Hideko
