Off The Edge

I am thrilled to be invited by Loll to be a "Honorary Member" of
the creative Group of Seven Cardmakers😄

I do LOVE techniques and treasure all my friendships
with the wonderfully talented Group of Seven girls😊

There is no technique for this month.  Instead,  the group has created cards
with a design element.."Off the Edge".

A matching Page for this post is added to the sidebar of the Group
of Seven Blog as a reminder of the design element.

My 1st "Off the Edge" Hello Card...Enjoy!

Quick CAS card design using the "Off the Edge" design element.
I used another background from a previous play using the
Group of Seven April 2023 Alcohol Inks on Gelli Plate Technique.

Click on the above link for All the Gelli Plate details!
I loved the technique and have made 14 backgrounds..so far:-)

I used an A2 sized piece of SU Poppy Parade CS for the card front.
Then attached to Ninnah Solar White Crest 110# Card Base.
Scored the die cut circle and tucked inside so you can see it when the card is opened.
Attached with Connect Glue.

Used MISTI to stamp the Altenew "African Daisy" sentiment.
Added sequins from my stash  and Done!  I loved the results:-)

My 2nd "Off the Edge" Card.

I stamped "Off The Edge" the Stamplorations "Blossom Sprays #2"
beautiful floral image designed by Dee's Artsy Impressions
for STAMPlorations and then stamped
the Penny Black "Special Sentiments" sentiment using MISTI and
Versafine black ink onto an A2 Canson Cold Press Watercolor paper.

Then removed from MISTI and heat embossed the images with SU Clear EB Powder.

Then the fun began watercoloring with Zigs.
I chose bright cheerful Summer colors😊

Next trimmed the card front a bit and framed with SU Basic Black CS.
That really made the CAS image pop!

Thank you for visiting and if you would like to join in the Group of Seven Cardmakers
June  "Off the Edge" Design Element we would love to see your
creative cards.  There is a linky available on the GO7 Homepage if

More Ink Blending on Colored Card

I have enjoyed this new to me Ink Blending on Colored Card technique
thanks to the Group of Seven Cardmaker's Blog

Be sure and check out the steps and helpful tips and card samples.
Here is the Video, which is very helpful.

I used all STAMPlorations stamps and Ranger Distress Inks

I began with an A2 piece of SU Poppy Parade CS.
Which I covered using The Rabbit Hole Designs Cotton Tail EB Powder Tool,
which I think is a Must Have Tool:-)

Next stamped the new to me STAMPlorations In Bloom: Darling Dog Rosets (Dogwood)
image using Clear Versamark ink and MISTI.
Next heat embossed with Wow "Opaque Bright White EB Powder".

Then the Blending with Distress Inks began using Altenew Mini Blending Tools.
I used Black Soot Distress Ink around the edge of the card front.
Then added Festive Berries around the edge of the stamped flowers and
blended into the Black Soot along the edge.

Next splattered water using TH spritzer for large droplets and covered with a
Paper towel to soak up some of water.  Let dry.

Stamped the STAMPlorations  "It's a Girls Thing: Kindness" sentiments using
MISTI and Archival Jet Black Ink.

Next added white acrylic ink splatters using a #4 paint brush.
Then added SU Rhinestones.
Attached card front to the Ninnah 110# CS and Done!

I was very happy with the results.
Thank you GO7 Girls...I will be using this technique again:-)

Playing Cards with Friends...June 2023

I was Thrilled to be invited by my very creative friend, Michele Ferguson
(I Card Everyone)  to play on her
Playing Cards with Friends series😄

The simple Rules for June 2023:

Use a fruit on your card: Stamped, Die Cut or Stenciled!
Also: Say Hi or Hello on your card in honor of  "Say Hi Day"!

Do read this sweet story😊  You will want to say Hi or Hello everyday and
on a card to join the Playing Cards with Friends Fun!

Thank you again Michele for inviting me to play with you this month💕
I can't wait to see Michele's Card on June 11th😄You will want to see her card too!

I immediately made a card after Michele's invitation,
but could not stop at one...finally chose my 2 favorite Hello cards😂

Hello Wreath Card!

My 2nd card Hello Card!

What do you think?  Now for the Deets:-)

My surprise for Michele😄
Do you recognize the die cut Pink Fresh "Lemons and Blueberries Washi Tape"
 on both cards, Michele?

You gifted these beautiful fruit filled images to our mutual very dear friend, Leslie
(Running with Scissors).  She then shared a few with me and I immediately went
home and created 7 cards using the beautiful die cuts💕

They were so perfect for your June Playing Cards with Friends theme!

I already had made the Group of Seven Cardmakers May 2023
Alcohol Inks on Gelli Plates Technique backgrounds, which I
did not get a chance to post to their blog.  I used  a 4" circle Gelli plate.

Because of Michele and Leslie I have recently ordered the Pink Fresh
Christmas Poinsettia Washi Tape, Dies and Stamp set on clearance😂
Now I can share💕

I popped up the die cut fruit with craft foam and added the stacked
die cut sentiments and the stamped PF sentiment.
Attached to SU colored cardstock and Done!

Loved the results.
I will post more finished cards in the future.

Thank you again,  Michele for our Fun Play day,  dear friend💞

Group of Seven Cardmakers May Blending Ink on Colored Paper

Another fun technique from the Group of Seven Cardmakers!

Be sure and check out all the fabulous cards by the Seven Cardmakers,  Detailed
instructions and this very helpful Video: Be Bold and Add Drama by Jenny!

My Ink Blending on Colored Cardstock Card..Enjoy!
I started with an A2 size of SU Daffodil Delight yellow cardstock.
Then stamped the Altenew "Paint a Flower: African Daisy" with Clear Versamark ink
using MISTI.
Next heat embossed with Wow Opaque Bright White EB Powder.

Then sponged Black Soot Distress Ink around the edge of the A2 size card front
using an Altenew Mini Blending Brush. Then blended Spiced Marmalade Distress ink
using a mini blending brush towards the flowers,  but not the center.
I also made sure to blend the pumpkin pie ink into the black!

Next I used my TH spritzer to add water droplets to the background and then
dabbed the background with paper towel.

When the background was dry I lightly splattered with Posca Black acrylic brush pen.
To lighten up the card front I die cut with Pinkfresh Braided Oval die
so more of the Daffodil Delight yellow cardstock showed thru...

I used the smaller oval die from the set to cut a piece of craft foam and
attached to the back of the die cut daisy image,
which popped it up just a bit! A cool effect:-)
Then attached to Ninnah Solar White 110# Card Base and Done!
I am looking forward to using this Blending Ink on Colored Paper again!

Thank you GO7 Girls for another fun Card Technique!
Love and Hugs,

Supplies:
Stamps: Altenew Paint a Flower: African Daisy.  I will add a sentiment to the inside later...
Paper: SU Daffodil Delight.  Ninnah Solar White 110#.
Inks: Clear Versamark, Spiced Marmalade and Black Soot Distress Inks.
Accessories: Wow Opaque Bright White EB Powder, Heat tool, Connect Glue, Altenew Mini Blending Brushes. Pink Fresh Braided Ovals Dies. MISTI
