CAS Mix Up (S) Tone on Tone

Time for a new CAS Mix Up Stencil Challenge: Tone on Tone
hosted by our very talented, Viv.

Be sure and check out our DT and very talented Guest Designer Pat's CAS Cards.

Here is my CAS Stenciled Tone on Tone Card!
I made a rectangle mask by die cutting an acrylic sheet with a Memory Box
Stitched rectangle.  Laid the mask over the SU Whisper White 100# A2 card base and
secured to glass mat with 3M Masking Tape.

I used a makeup brush to add SU "Just Jade" ink to the masked rectangle.
Removed mask and added a 2nd mask I made from the same die set that was one size
larger.  Secured mask with Tape.

Next placed part of the STAMPlorations "Flair" Slimline Stencil" over the sponged
background and secured with tape.
Used make up brush to add SU "Shaded Spruce" ink to give the
Tone on Tone effect.  I loved how the light and dark green tones blended together.

Used a ruler to draw the black frame with a Staedler Black Pen.

Added a STAMPlorations Christmas Clear Sticker "Good Tidings" to a scrap of
Whisper White 100# cardstock.  Added to my card and instantly
it made a beautiful Christmas Card for my stash:-)

You still have until the 24th to play along with us at CAS Mix Up (S) Challenge.
We love seeing your stencil challenge cards.  Hugs..

Adding to NBUS #19 Challenge:  This was the 1st time I used the Flair Slimline Stencil and 1st time I used the SU Just Jade and Shaded Spruce inks:-)

  1. What a fantastic design Nancy and such a pretty stencil with the inked smaller rectangle in the background leaving that white edge which looks great. I love the inked edge and the sentiment to finish too. It has been so good to be the GD this time and have thoroughly enjoyed the tone on tone theme. x
