CAS Mix Up Watercolour August Reminder: Beach

It is already time for our CAS Mix Up Watercolored: Beach cards hosted by Loll.
There are plenty of fun DT and Guest Designer CAS Cards to Inspire you:-)
Be sure and check them out!

Another Beach scene similar, but different than my launch card.
I cut a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of Strathmore Mixed Media paper.
Then masked the borders using masking tape.

Next used Distress Oxide inks and make up brush to blend all my colors.
Starting with Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber and then Antique Linen.
Next blended in Salty Ocean,  Blueprint Sketch, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet.

Then spritzed liberally with water using T.H. Distress Sprayer and blotted
excess water with paper towel.  This gave the watercolor effect.
I dried with heat tool.

Placed  card front in MISTI and stamped the Inkadinkado "Down by the
Seaside" grass and beach sign image using Archival Black ink.

I added the stamped birds from the same set.
Also added CRAFTplorations "Shine Bright" Clear Sticker sentiment.
To finish the image I used a Staedler Black Pen and ruler to add the frame and Done!

Thanks to my dear friend Darnell (aka Dolly) I had one beach stamp set that
she kindly gave me at our 2018 Retreat.  Thanks again Dolly:-)

We would love to have you join us with your CAS watercolored beach cards.

My 1st card using the new "Burst" Slimline Stencil.

I cut an 8" x 9" 100# SU Whisper White cardstock and scored down the middle
to fold into a 4" x 9" cardbase.  Next cut a card front 3 7/8" x 8 1/4" out of the same paper.
Blended light green and blue shades of Distress Oxide inks with make up brushes
onto card front.

Next sprayed back of "Burst" Slimline Stencil with Pixie Spray and
placed over Distress Oxide card front.
You can uses masking tape if you do not have the spray.

Then the fun began...adding Distress Oxides..yellows, blues, greens and lavender shades
thru the stencil with make up brushes.
Removed the stencil and went....Wow!!!! The Burst image really Glowed!

Added CRAFTplorations Clear Stickers "Shine Bright" and "New Day".
Sponged edge of Burst Stenciled image, attached to card base and Done!
I Loved the Results and hope you do too!

***************

My 2nd card using the "Wavy Dots" Slimline Stencil.

I was so pleased that I Loved my 2nd Slimline Stenciled card as well as my 1st:-)

I made a 2nd 4" x 9" Whisper White 100# card base then cut a 4" x 9" card front
from Strathmore  Toned Tan 184# Mixed Media paper.

Sprayed "Wavy Dots" Slimline Stencil with Pixie Spray.
Placed over Tan MM paper, then began blending Distress Oxide Inks using make up
brush.  I used turquoise, green, dark blue and purple shades of ink.

Removed the stencil and Loved the results!
Loved how the stencil left a nice framed edge.

Next stamped "happy" from Clear Stamp "Happy Birthday" using Misti.  Then
sponged the same colors I used for card front onto a scrap of 100# white cardstock.
Then die cut Birthday from "Birthday Word Die".  I stacked 2 layers from
SU Basic Black Cardstock  and one layer from sponged scrap.
Attached to card front with Connect Glue and Done!
